Notre Dame football stays hot recruiting adding 2026 3-star safety Nick Reddish
The 5-foot, 11-inch and 185-pound North Carolina star picked the Irish over Wisconsin, Indiana and Virginia Tech. Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class now is up to 26 verbals, and there isn't much room left to add any other prospects.
Reddish is the third safety in the class joining two elite others in Joey O'Brien and Ayden Pouncey. He's a bit smaller than his future teammates, as both of them have the size and frames to outgrow the position. As the No. 681 overall player in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
He's set to join an absolutely loaded position group, as Adon Shuler is expected to be a starter, while Luke Talich, JaDon Blair, Ben Minich and others battle out for the opposite starting job. That's not including either of the two transfers in Devonta Smith and Jalen Stroman, as the Irish possess one of the deepest units in the country.
Reddish is a great addition to the room, as Notre Dame's class continues to impress.

Packers reveal 1923-inspired throwback uniforms for 2025 season
The Green Bay Packers revealed new throwback uniforms inspired by the team's look from 1923 that will be worn during the 2025 season. The "1923 Classic" uniforms feature an airbrushed, faux-leather brown helmet -- the first of its kind at the NFL level -- and navy blue jerseys with gold numbers and stripes. The Packers went 7-2-1 and finished in third place in the NFL under coach Curly Lambeau during the 1923 season, the first season in which the team was publicly owned and operated. The Packers have not announced which game the throwbacks will be worn, but this is a home uniform to be worn at Lambeau Field. Here is Jordan Love in the throwbacks: More on the throwbacks below: Fans can shop the look here: The Packers will be back on the practice field on Thursday as the first week of training camp rolls on in Green Bay. Packers throwback uniforms: Team pays tribute to leather helmets with fun, 1923-inspired jerseys
The Green Bay Packers are going all the way back to 1923 in 2025. The team unveiled new throwback uniforms Thursday which pay homage to the franchise's first season as a publicly owned corporation. The team teased the new throwbacks in a hype video Thursday. Instead of green and gold, the jerseys will be blue and gold, similar to the 1937-48-inspired jerseys they've worn in the past. And if you find that a little too boring, well, take a look at the team's helmets. Yeah, those are leather-inspired helmets. For very obvious reasons, the NFL is not going to allow players to actually wear leather helmets in 2025, so the Packers are doing the next best thing. With their 1923-inspired jerseys, the team is adopting a leather-look on its helmets. The helmets are fully hand painted, including the faux-stitching. As for the actual uniforms, the team will wear a primarily blue jersey with gold numbers and stripes. The team will wear tan pants and navy socks to complete the look. Though the team unveiled the uniforms Thursday, it did not reveal when the Packers would wear them during a game. The team merely teased they'll be worn during a game at Lambeau Field this fall. It added that it would announce the date of that game in the coming weeks. In the earliest years of the franchise's existence, the Packers' main jersey colors were either blue or gold. The team didn't introduce its iconic green until 1935. Between the 1940s and 1960s, the franchise alternated primary colors on their jerseys. But in the 1970s, the team adopted the green jerseys fans are more familiar with today.

What Wisconsin quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. said about Badgers' gauntlet 2025 schedule
Wisconsin football starting quarterback Billy Edwards is no stranger to a challenging schedule of top-ranked opponents. Just last season, Edwards led the Maryland Terrapins against ESPN FPI's No. 22-ranked slate, headlined by games against Indiana, USC, Minnesota, Oregon, Iowa and Penn State. Edwards and the Badgers face an entirely different level of test in 2025. The team has the top-ranked schedule in the 18-team Big Ten Conference and the second-toughest in the entire country. It travels to Alabama (No. 3 in ESPN FPI) and Michigan (No. 17), hosts Iowa (No. 39) and Ohio State (No. 4), visits Oregon (No. 6), hosts Washington (No. 27), travels to Indiana (No. 31), then closes vs. Illinois (No. 44) and at Minnesota (No. 43). Matchups against former Big Ten West regulars Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota appear to be breaks in that gauntlet of College Football Playoff contenders. But after Wisconsin went 0-3 in rivalry trophy games in 2024 (Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota), falling by a combined margin of 110-42, even those matchups appear to be tilted away from the team's direction. Related: Notable college football analyst is 'selling' Wisconsin entering 2025 season Edwards was asked about that schedule during an appearance on the Big Ten Network at conference media days on Wednesday. He and the team are focusing on the slate as a great opportunity as they look to reverse the program's current standing and return it to the top of the conference. "I think first things first is a lot of great opportunities," Edwards began. "To play in the Big Ten, to play the schedule that we do. To get to where we want to get to at the top of that mountain top, you have to go through some good opponents. And we have just that. I think that's been a good motivation piece for us this offseason, just knowing that we have a mountain to climb. But we're not even at the bottom of that mountain yet. We still have some more steps to go until we get through fall camp before Week 1 rolls around. But we're excited. I think it's all great opportunities. Like I said, if you want to be the best, you got to play the best, you got to beat the best." Edwards' play was inconsistent against Maryland's top opponents in 2024. He impressively threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-28 loss to Indiana, plus for 373 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in a big 29-28 win over USC. However, those games were followed by a 201-yard, two-interception outing in a loss to Minnesota, as well as a 206-yard, one-touchdown and two-interception performance in a loss to Oregon. The veteran signal-caller will look to maintain the top-end play he flashed against the Hoosiers, Trojans and others last season. With Wisconsin providing him a stronger supporting cast than Maryland did, especially along the offensive line, many are expecting a breakthrough year for the senior. Wisconsin will certainly need Edwards at his best if it has any chance of returning to bowl eligibility and building momentum entering 2026.
