Mourners also had the option to leave a voice note in any language they chose by speaking into a red phone.
Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 and died at the age of 76 on Tuesday morning, surrounded by his family.
The news came a few weeks after he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates on July 5 to play a farewell gig at Villa Park – a stone's throw from where the band was formed in 1968.
Tributes were led by his Black Sabbath bandmates, including Terence 'Geezer' Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward, along with celebrity friends including Kiss star Gene Simmons and Queen guitarist Sir Brian May.
Earlier on Thursday, Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi spoke on ITV's Good Morning Britain and described Osbourne as 'wild'.
He said: 'He was a great young guy. And then obviously, American success got to him, I think. And it gets to a lot of us. You get carried away with all that stuff that one shouldn't. I did and I'm over it.'
Osbourne was also described by the Lord mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal, as a 'proud Brummie' who helped put the city 'on the world map'.
Mr Iqbal met the founding members of the heavy metal band, formed in the city in 1968, when they were presented with the freedom of Birmingham in June.
He told the PA news agency: 'He (Osbourne) was very important and he was a proud Brummie. He loved the city. He will be much missed, I think, and he was loved by so many people in the city.'
Other stars have also honoured the 'Prince of Darkness' by paying tribute to him during live concert performances, including Lady Gaga, Coldplay and Alice Cooper.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Cooper said: 'He was and will continue to be a rock n roll legend. Rock n Roll is a family and a fraternity. When we lose one of our own it bleeds. I wish I would have gotten to know my brother Ozzy better.'

The property had been up for rent for £6,750-a-month, but is now in the process of being sold, confirmed by the Land Registry Office, and should fetch around £2 million. In January last year, the Mail on Sunday reported that Kate was faced with having to sell her five-bedroom family home in Muswell Hill, but by selling her second home, this appears to have been avoided. Daily Mail have contacted Kate's representatives for comment. One source said at the time: 'It is so sad for Kate. Not only has she had to watch her beloved husband suffer for almost four years but her financial worries have never been far away from her thoughts. 'It has cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to look after Derek and do everything she could to get him better but it's left her struggling. 'The house is about all she has left financially and she is now facing up to the fact it might have to be sold.' According to the rental listing for her Islington pad, it has a roof terrace and private garden. 'This beautifully presented 3-bedroom terraced house offers a perfect blend of modern living and period charm. The most recent liquidator's report for Astra Aspera Ltd shows that Kate has been trying to repay some of the debt she owes - and HMRCS have dramatically decreased their tax demand. The directors' loan account was overdrawn by £139,849, but the liquidator, Greenfield Recovery, hired solicitors, The Wilkes Partnership, 'to assist in the recovery… and the sum of £21,000 has been received in this report period'. According to the latest liquidator's report, HMRC has submitted a new preferential claim of £288,054. This is a third of its previous submission of £716,822. It's not known why the HMRC has dropped its demand. There are also creditor claims of £196,548 from four other firms including a £50,000 bank loan. It looks like there'll be no pay out for creditors. In 2012, two other companies jointly controlled by Kate and Derek were wound up by creditors. Fulfill Media Ltd had debts totalling £922,807, which included £88,486 owed to HMRC, £90,882 to trade creditors, and £462,808 in 'third party loans'. Countrymouse Media Ltd was liquidated owing £189,121, which included £98,944 to the taxman and £48,000 on an overdrawn directors loan account.

One of the most controversial horror franchises of all time is being turned into a TV series. Eli's Roth Hostel, which was dubbed 'torture porn' when the first film was released back in 2005, is being developed at Peacock, according to Variety. Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti is set to star in series, while Roth will write, direct, and executive produce. Roth wrote and directed the first two films in the franchise but was not involved in the third installment, which was released direct-to-DVD in 2011. Little is known about the plot of the series yet, but the movies follow a secret Slovakian criminal organization that lures foreign tourists into deceptively idyllic hostels, where wealthy sadists and psychopaths then torture and kill them. In the first film, two American college graduates travel across Europe and end up in Slovakia after being told that a local hostel in the area is filled with beautiful Eastern European women. Once inside, they're drugged by the women and then sold to the Elite Hunting Club to be maimed and murdered. The sequel features a female cast of American art students who are seduced by the promise of a luxurious spa experience in Slovakia. The funeral followed an emotionally-charged day in Birmingham, that saw the Prince of Darkness made one final trip through his home city. Thousands of fans lined the streets to pay their respects and say goodbye as a procession led by Ozzy's hearse travelled from the Aston Villa football ground through the city centre. In moving scenes, the procession stopped outside the Black Sabbath bridge, where the frontman's wife and children stepped out of their cars to lay down roses wrapped in black paper among the sea of tributes left by fans. Ozzy's widow, Sharon, was seen for the first time since his death and was overcome by emotion as she took in the outpouring of love for her husband. As she broke down in tears, Sharon was comforted by children Jack, Kelly, and Aimee. The grandchildren of Sharon and Ozzy were also close by for the family moment. Last week, the Osbourne family announced that Ozzy had died at the age of 76, just days after he appeared on stage at his farewell Back to the Beginning concert, in his beloved hometown of Birmingham. In a statement, the Osbourne family, including Kelly and Sharon, had said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."
