Sharon Osbourne's furious X Factor outburst at 'pensioner' who slammed Ozzy

Sharon Osbourne once revealed she hilariously launched a pen at a pensioner who attempted to speak badly of her husband Ozzy while she was on The X Factor
Sharon Osbourne once declared war on a "pensioner" who made the decision to have a go at her late husband, Ozzy. Sharon, 72, has never been one to mince her words and during an interview about her return to The X Factor, the music manager opened up about the interaction with the man who bravely attempted to say negative things about her husband Ozzy.

In 2013, Sharon left the showbiz industry in shock when she returned to the talent show just six years after she dramatically left the programme. But in true Mrs O style, she didn't hold back when she spoke about one contestant.

Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man about the incident, the fiery redhead exclaimed: "I did too!" when asked if it was true she'd launched a pen at the contestant. "And it should have been a knife, really!" she went on to add. It comes after Sharon Osbourne breaks down in tears at Ozzy's funeral in heartbreaking scenes.

When asked why she'd launched the pen, Sharon explained: "This old bloke comes in and starts slagging my old man, so I'm like 'Here, what can I throw at you?' so I'm like 'You can f**k off', threw a pen at him. You little f***er!"
But when Alan asked why somebody would attempt to disrespect Ozzy in front of Sharon, she fumed: "They know what they're going to get. How dare he! I'm nearly a pensioner, so f**k him!"

The clip, which has resurfaced on TikTok, has racked up an impressive 58,000 views and was flooded with comments, with many laughing over Sharon's quick wit. "Sharon Osbourne. What a woman," said one.
A second went on to write: "Absolute brilliance, love Sharon." "I want their marriage when I'm older and I won't settle for less," said another. The resurfacing of the clip comes just hours after Sharon sadly buried Ozzy. In keeping with the rockstar's wishes, he was buried in the grounds of his sprawling family home, where he shared many happy memories with Sharon, and where he spent his final weeks.

The funeral followed an emotionally-charged day in Birmingham, that saw the Prince of Darkness made one final trip through his home city. Thousands of fans lined the streets to pay their respects and say goodbye as a procession led by Ozzy's hearse travelled from the Aston Villa football ground through the city centre.
In moving scenes, the procession stopped outside the Black Sabbath bridge, where the frontman's wife and children stepped out of their cars to lay down roses wrapped in black paper among the sea of tributes left by fans.

Ozzy's widow, Sharon, was seen for the first time since his death and was overcome by emotion as she took in the outpouring of love for her husband. As she broke down in tears, Sharon was comforted by children Jack, Kelly, and Aimee. The grandchildren of Sharon and Ozzy were also close by for the family moment.
Last week, the Osbourne family announced that Ozzy had died at the age of 76, just days after he appeared on stage at his farewell Back to the Beginning concert, in his beloved hometown of Birmingham. In a statement, the Osbourne family, including Kelly and Sharon, had said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."

Kelly Osbourne 'holding on tight' to Ozzy's love as she shares tearful tribute

Kelly Osbourne has paid an emotional tribute to her late father on social media in the wake of his death. Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76 nearly two weeks ago, with his loved ones announcing the sad news via a family statement signed by Sharon Osbourne and four of the Black Sabbath frontman's six children. The singer, who had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, was "with his family and surrounded by love". The statement read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time." Kelly, who slammed rumours her dad was dying just weeks before his death, has since taken to social media to share a personalised tribute to her beloved dad. She said: "I've sat down to write this a hundred times and still don't know if the words will ever feel like enough... but from the bottom of my heart, thank you. "The love, support, and beautiful messages I've received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life. Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain. "Grief is a strange thing—it sneaks up on you in waves-I will not be ok for a while-but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I'm holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much." Kelly was able to get engaged in front of her father at his farewell concert just weeks before his death. Earlier this month, Ozzy took to the stage as part of the Black Sabbath reunion, telling thousands of heavy metal enthusiasts at Villa Park – a stone's throw from where the band was formed in 1968 – that it was "so good to be on this stage" as he performed his last set from a large black throne. Ozzy and his fellow original Black Sabbath members were the last to appear as part of the star-studded line-up for the Back to the Beginning concert. Following the epic gig, the Osbourne family were met with a delightful surprise as Kelly's long-term partner, Sid Wilson, popped the question in front of her parents; Ozzy and Sharon. The next day, Kelly, 40, took to Instagram to share the joyous news, posting a video of the moment the Slipknot rocker proposed to the former reality TV star. Accompanying the video, Kelly penned: "Oh, and this happened yesterday." In the touching footage, Sharon can be heard whispering: "We've got to be quiet, hold on," as she hushed the backstage crew. Sid, now Kelly's fiancé, is then heard declaring: "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world. However, Sid's romantic proposal was momentarily disrupted by a cheeky Ozzy who exclaimed: "F*** off! You're not marrying my daughter." Unfazed by Ozzy's jest, Sid laughed it off and continued with his marriage proposal to Kelly. He gushed: "Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?" The 40 year old spun around, her face etched with astonishment, before bringing her hands to her face and nodding 'yes'. The footage then captured Sid presenting the stunning ring as one of Kelly's mates shouted 'about time', poking fun at Sid, who shares a son with Kelly, for not popping the question earlier.

Viral 'bunnies on a trampoline' video is revealed to be AI - These are the subtle clues that give away the hoax

Young, tech-savvy social media users might like to think they could never be deceived by a fake video. But a viral clip showing cute rabbits bouncing on a trampoline has now proven that nobody is above falling for online trickery. The video, posted by TikTok user rachelthecatlovers, has amassed 229.3 million views and over 88,000 comments. However, despite how adorable it might be, the clip is nothing more than an AI-generated hoax. In the video's description, rachelthecatlovers wrote: 'Just checked the home security cam and… I think we've got guest performers out back!' If you fell for this fake video, then the good news is that you weren't alone, as social media users have flocked to share their surprise at being caught out. On TikTok, one user complained: 'This is the first AI that has ever got me.' But if you're still having trouble separating fact from fiction, these are the subtle clues that give away the deception. On TikTok, commenters have complained that this was the first time they had ever fallen for an AI fake First, as the video starts, pay close attention to two bunnies on the left-hand side of the trampoline. What initially looks like two grey rabbits sitting side-by-side, unnaturally warps into a single bunny, which bounds away. A similar transformation occurs with two other rabbits around the five-second mark. To spot the subtle flaw, focus on the leftmost rabbit as it starts to run across the trampoline. The rabbit jumps up and obscures another rabbit sitting on the back edge, which has vanished by the time the first rabbit lands. Finally, keep your eye on the single dark grey rabbit in the middle-right of the screen. Around seven seconds into the video, the rabbit unexpectedly gives up its grey colouration and becomes brownish-white like the others. Although these hints might be difficult to spot at first, once you've seen them, it is clear that this video is a fake. For more evidence that this viral clip is a fraud, you can also look at the other videos posted by the account rachelthecatlovers. In one AI-generated video, a hand is shown injecting raisins with water to transform them back into grapes. Another video shows what appears to be a rabbit entering through a kitchen dog door. However, on closer inspection, the video is clearly AI-generated, as you can see the dog flap fading out of existence. Addressing the claim that the videos are fake, the account posted a bizarre video in which a woman, lit by flashing orange lights, shouts into the camera over loud music. In the clip, the woman repeatedly says: 'Guys, the rabbits are real. D A A R E. Real.' Despite the subtle hints and the account's unusual behaviour, many people still found themselves falling for the clip. Despite these hints, many social media users still couldn't bring themselves to believe that the video was fake Some younger commenters even joked that they had thought only their parents would fall for fake AI content 'OMG this is the best thing I've ever seen,' added another. Even Gen Z found themselves unable to spot the fake, as one commenter wrote: 'A few years ago I was laughing at my mother for believing ai. Another joked: 'I'm getting scammed when im older.' This is not the first time that an AI-generated image has gone viral before the internet realised that there was deception involved. In 2023, Eliot Higgins, founder of open-source investigative journalism website Bellingcat, created a series of AI-generated pictures showing Donald Trump being arrested outside Trump Tower. Although Mr Higgins said that he had made the pictures with AI in his initial post, the images were shared and spread without that context. As the images went viral, many people were convinced that Trump had, in fact, been arrested. Likewise, AI-generated images of the late Pope Francis wearing a puffer jacket were detailed enough to convince thousands of people that the photos were real. AI systems rely on artificial neural networks (ANNs), which try to simulate the way the brain works in order to learn. ANNs can be trained to recognise patterns in information - including speech, text data, or visual images - and are the basis for a large number of the developments in AI over recent years. Conventional AI uses input to 'teach' an algorithm about a particular subject by feeding it massive amounts of information. Practical applications include Google's language translation services, Facebook's facial recognition software and Snapchat's image altering live filters. The process of inputting this data can be extremely time consuming, and is limited to one type of knowledge. A new breed of ANNs called Adversarial Neural Networks pits the wits of two AI bots against each other, which allows them to learn from each other.

'I visited popular London park and couldn't believe how much deck chair hire cost'

A tourist in London filmed herself looking at the prices for deck chair hire in a popular park in the capital, as even using one for an hour can incur a hefty cost A London visitor has been left gobsmacked by the unexpected expense of hiring a deck chair in Hyde Park, taking to social media to vent her frustration over the additional cost of living sting. Nadia Scott shared her disbelief on TikTok, showing a sign in Westminster's iconic Grade I-listed park that listed the rental prices. ‌ "So we're in London and they're charging £4 an hour to sit down," she exclaimed. "You can sit down for two hours for £5.50, £6.50 for three hours and £14 to sit on your a**e all day." She went on to highlight the sea of unoccupied chairs, suggesting most people were too savvy to fork out when they could simply sit on the grass at no cost. ‌ And when asked for her thoughts, Nadia's friend, Molly, bluntly remarked: "You've got be having a f*****g laugh." ‌ The park's signage also mentions a reduced rate for concessions (students, seniors over 65, and disabled persons), and even season tickets for frequent visitors, costing £180 for standard and £80 for concessions. Reacting to the clip, one TikTok user noted: "The bedrock of capitalism is supply and demand... the only reason this exists is because people are willing to pay for it." Another criticised: "Fair enough to charge for the chairs but those particular prices are extortionate!". ‌ And a third disgruntled individual remarked: "I wouldn't mind if it was some luxury chair, leather, Bluetooth, or massage, but they're chairs from the Victorian era." WARNING – explicit language in video below, viewer discretion advised. ‌ However, not everyone is critical of the deck chair rental scheme. One person defended the concept, explaining: "You're not paying to sit. You're paying to use the chair. It's a business and a service and optional." Whilst a second quizzed: "So what's the problem? If its too expensive for you then you're not the target audience. Not everything has to be good value to everyone." Promoting their offering on the web, Parkdeck Chairs Ltd, the enterprise behind the deck chair hire initiative, proclaims: "We believe London's parks are sanctuaries where people relax, connect, and enjoy nature. Our mission is to enhance these beautiful spaces by providing high-quality, comfortable, and sustainable deckchair services." The company further commits to environmental stewardship, stating: "We are committed to preserving these treasured green spaces through eco-conscious practices, responsibly sourced materials, and a service that supports both people and the planet." The service extends to several Royal parks including The Regent's Park, Kensington Gardens, St. James's Park, and The Green Park. These deck chairs are up for grabs from March to October, available during daylight hours, provided the weather plays along.
