How Ronan Keating's ex-wife Yvonne discovered his affair in simple act

Daily Record17-05-2025

Ronan Keating's marriage to his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly ended in 2012 after she discovered he was having an affair with Boyzone backing dancer Francine Cornell.
Ronan Keating has been married to his wife, Storm, since 2015, but his first marriage faced significant challenges. He previously married Yvonne Connolly in 1998 and the couple spent 12 years together and had three children. However, their relationship ended after Yvonne discovered he was having an affair.
Back in 2010, Yvonne felt a change in their relationship, suspecting something wasn't quite right within her marriage. As Yvonne was packing up the family's belongings, preparing to move house, she noticed something strange while packing.

Her fears were confirmed when she found Ronan's phone bills and discovered he had made calls to an unfamiliar number. Yvonne phoned the mystery number and after being sent to the answering machine, she realised that it belonged to Francine Cornell, the Mirror reports.

Back then Francine, who was 26, was a backing dancer for Boyzone and was reportedly secretly involved with Ronan for seven months.
Francine recalled the incident, telling The Sun: "She knew something was going on and she got hold of his phone records and called my number. From my voicemail she got my name - that's how she found out. Ronan tried to deny it all at first. He said I was a dancer from the tour and we were just good friends."
Yvonne was reportedly unconvinced and decided to contact Francine directly. According to Francine, their relationship wasn't just physical, as she had developed genuine feelings for Ronan, and he had allegedly professed his love for her too.
However, just days later, Ronan is said to have ended the affair with Francine in order to reconcile with Yvonne, telling her over the phone that they could never speak again. So it came as a surprise when a month later, Yvonne invited Francine to meet at a hotel in London.

Yvonne spoke on Brendan O'Connor's Cutting Edge show, saying: "I just needed answers. I just needed the truth, and I needed to make sure stories collaborated."
"It was very hard to figure out who you can trust. So this was the answer to it. I was going to meet this girl, a quick 20-minute conversation, and we'd be done and dusted."
"And in fairness to her, she came and met me. But the 20-minute conversation turned into a couple of bottles of wine. After a few hours I realised she needed it as much as I did and I know it sounds very dramatic, but she was as much as a victim as I was. I think we both got something from it," she continued.

"When I look back, this is what it all boils down to: it was basically two girls in love with the same boy who over a five-hour conversation realised that that boy was not who we thought he was."
The situation took an unexpected turn, as allegedly police arrived at the hotel after Francine's mother made a concerned call - although Yvonne initially mistook them for strippers.

The ex-model continued: "There was a knock on the door and I looked out through the peephole and I saw people dressed as policemen. I said to them, 'Tell me you're strippers', to which I was told, 'No we're the Metropolitan Police and we've come to investigate the whereabouts of this girl.'"
She added: "To this day, it's like that happened to somebody else, I just think it's the funniest story."
The couple eventually moved into their new house and spent the next year attempting to mend their relationship. Ronan is believed to have used the sleeve notes of his 2010 solo album Duet as a way to "apologise" to his wife, who he had married in 1998 when they were both just 21 years old.

"You are the most incredible, inspirational woman I have ever met," he stated. "For the mistakes I have made in my life, I am sorry. Guess you have to go there to come back. It was a dark place and you were the light to bring me back. I love you."
Unfortunately, the pair could not save their relationship and confirmed they had split in April 2012. The pair has since moved on, Yvonne is now with cinematographer John Conroy and Ronan embarked on a relationship with TV producer Storm Uechtritz, after they met on the Australian version of The X Factor.

Ronan and Storm tied the knot in 2015 in Scotland and have since welcomed son Cooper, seven, and daughter Coco, four.
The singer had spoken about his affair with the Daily Telegraph in 2016, and seemed repentant, saying: "Nobody should have an affair. If you're man enough to have the balls to go home and say, 'Sorry, this isn't working anymore,' that's the ideal situation, isn't it? But we're weak. We don't do that. So yes, I hurt people and I am sorry for that hurt, but the outcome is I found Storm and I'm very grateful. But I'm saying sorry."
He later reportedly expressed on Facebook that he had no regrets about the divorce, stating it was 'what [he] wanted.'

"There is a lot more to it than an affair and obviously it was broken well before then," he posted. "Over the years I have kept my mouth shut and taken all the blame for the sake of my kids & my ex wife. But enough now. After 6yrs I draw the line."

"There is a lot more to my situation than people will ever know and that's the way it should be. But there are always two people in a relationship and if it's not working there's more than one good reason for it," he continued.
"I will not stand for complete misrepresentation of my truth and my heart anymore. I've done that for way too many years and too long in the tooth for it. Please respect that everyone has moved on and better off. Not once did I say I was apologising to my ex wife or saying sorry for the affair. I said I was sorry for all the hurt it had caused, to which I truly am."

Tommy Bradley is a landscape gardener from Hertfordshire. He is 22 years old, making him one of this year's youngest Islanders. On June 1, The Sun exclusively revealed that the 'cheeky chappy' would be a contestant on Love Island 2025. Tommy documented his prep for the ITV2 dating show on Instagram, posting streams of his gym sessions. He also revealed that his secret skill is playing the guitar, as well as knowing all the lyrics to every Oasis track. Tommy admits to being a bit fussy. I go out during the summer but wouldn't want to date someone who parties every weekend." When asked how far he plans to go when it comes to 'doing bits' in the villa, Tommy revealed a rather awkward chat he had with his mum before flying out to Mallorca. 'He looks to enjoy a night out with the lads and out on the boxing scene with his brother. 'But he's also packed on serious muscle over the last year ready for telly's famous villa and is no longer just a personality hire." Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Liz Hurley's 'ageing in reverse' after 'subtle but significant' image change

Elizabeth Hurley today celebrates her 60th birthday, but the actress often leaves fans blown away with her youthful appearance and glowing skin but has had a 'subtle' change Elizabeth Hurley's "subtle" transformation has not gone unnoticed. The actress and model, 60, often leaves fans speechless with her risqué social media snaps and stunning red carpet appearances. But as she enters her seventh decade, the Austin Powers star's appearance is somewhat conflicting as she looks worlds away from her younger self, while also looking more radiant than ever. Elizabeth has always been vocal about her dislike for excessive cosmetic surgery and has taken pride in not going under the knife. ‌ "I think it just makes you look like you've got filler. It's not my cup of tea," she previously said when asked if she was a fan of having too much work done. But a leading dentist has suggested that Liz may have had a subtle tweak to her teeth, which is relatively unnoticeable. ‌ When she first found fame in the Ninties, Elizabeth was known for her charming, natural, gap-toothed smile, which dazzled as she posed for photographers. Nowadays, her smile stands out amongst the crowd and is a testament to her style evolution. Dr Rizwan Mahmood, co-founder of Ruh Dental, believes that Elizabeth's change is "subtle but significant" and is a "textbook example of how dental work can enhance, not overhaul." Speaking to the Mirror, he said: "Elizabeth Hurley's smile transformation is a masterclass in natural refinement. "She hasn't gone for a cookie-cutter Hollywood look. Instead, it appears she's had light orthodontic correction, possibly bonding or veneers, and professional whitening, all while maintaining the unique character of her smile." In her earlier years of fame, Elizabeth's teeth had a slight gap, and Dr Mahmood noticed irregular edges that appear to have been smoothed out over the years. He adds: "It's not about chasing perfection, it's about preserving identity while boosting confidence, and that's exactly what we see with Liz." While many new stars often dazzle on social media, it was Elizabeth who led the way as one of the original It Girls, following her relationship with Love Actually heartthrob, Hugh Grant. ‌ The Basingstoke beauty, who frequently showcases her gym-honed physique for her adoring fans, was catapulted to worldwide fame when she stepped out at a film premiere in 1994. Elizabeth joined Hugh Grant at the premiere for Four Weddings and A Funeral – a film she wasn't in – but still captivated everyone's attention. She wore a bold Versace dress, featuring deep splits down the sides, with just gold safety pins holding the black outfit in place. Aged just 29, Elizabeth wasn't a household name at the time, but this soon changed. Speaking of the night, she joked: "I promise I didn't mean to steal the show!" But prior to this, she was actually left rather embarrassed after a string of designers refused to dress her for the event. Speaking in a 2019 BBC documentary, Grant said: "Someone told us: Oh, you can borrow things from top designers. Poor Elizabeth rang some top designers, and they all said, 'No, who are you?' or 'No, we're not lending you anything.'" Eventually, it was Versace who decided to dress Elizabeth, which would change the trajectory of her career. "Only in England could a saucy dress have such an astounding effect," she previously said of the dress.

Shoppers 'transform rooms' using £30 Millie Mackintosh paint range that's 'easy to use'

For those wanting to revitalise their living space, a simple coat of paint can work miracles. Whether you're updating your kitchen cabinets, injecting character with coloured skirting boards, or designing a statement wall in the lounge, the perfect shade of paint can breathe new life into any room. Choosing the ideal paint hue can be tricky, with an overwhelming array of options making the selection process somewhat intimidating. Yet, the latest collection from the luxury, environmentally friendly label COAT Paints may just solve this issue. The brand has teamed up with popular TV figure and health guru Millie Mackintosh for the launch. The collection boasts an array of colours suitable for every nook and cranny in the home, covering bedrooms and bathrooms to kitchens and entrance halls. Discussing her collaboration, Made in Chelsea alum Millie Mackintosh, aged 35, shared: "Creating a mindful home environment has been essential to me, especially as I've navigated motherhood and my personal wellness journey. "Every colour in this collection is a reflection of that - whether it's the calming tones of 'Balance' or the warm embrace of 'Gratitude.' I wanted this palette to encourage people to slow down, reflect, and create spaces that feel comforting and rejuvenating", reports the Mirror. The COAT x Millie Mackintosh range features six unique hues. There's Presence, a Blush Plaster Pink; Poise, a Pale Blush Pink; Centred, an Earthy Pale Beige; Renew, a Teal Blue; Manifest, a Soft Fresh Green; and Nourish, a gentle, muted sage green. All of the hues are available in six finishes - Flat Matt, Soft Sheen, Interior Eggshell, Exterior Eggshell, Claypaint, and Floor Paint - ensuring there's a formula for every surface. Coat Paints Depending on the quantity of paint required, the collection is offered at various price points: from £30 for 1L, £56 for 2.5L, or £96 for 5L. Plus, it's simple to test before purchasing, with peel-and-stick samples available in each shade that are fully recyclable and 100% accurate to the actual paint colour. If this range doesn't quite hit the mark with customers, they could consider Farrow and Ball's new spring range, which features shades like deep red, mustard yellow, olive green and duck-egg blue, with prices around £33 for 750ml to £128 for 5L. Alternatively, House of Hackney offers a broad selection of made-to-order, water-based, low VOC, low odour paints across the colour spectrum, with prices around £59 for 2.5L or £100 for 5L. The paints from COAT - a B Corp Certified company - which are water-based, low V.O.C, premium paints designed to be among the highest-quality on the market, have proven to be popular with shoppers. The Coat paint range has garnered flawless reviews, with one customer exclaiming: "Just had our hallway and landing painted in Coat paint whilst away and all I can say is wow! Decorator not used Coat before but commented on excellent application. We have used Coat before ourselves and found it to be extremely easy to use and also the colours are amazing. Customer service is also second to none. We needed paint quickly and they upgraded to next day delivery." Another reviewer raved about the unique colours: "Beautiful soft hues, with colours you can't find anywhere else. I really enjoyed transforming my rooms with this paint, it has great coverage and is a real joy to use." A customer who opted for the Poise shade saidd: "I love this colour! I really wanted a pink bedroom but not too little girly feel. Poise was the perfect shade for that, it's so soft and subtle but at the same, so girly and a great pink. Did 2 layers and it's so lush!" One reviewer noted a slight discrepancy in the Renew shade's colour representation online, but was pleased with the final result: "The colour is a little different from what it looks like on the website - in my living room anyway - a bit more blue and less teal. It matches the sample sticker perfectly though, so I got what I was expecting." Another criticism came from a customer who experienced issues with delivery, but praised the customer service team for their prompt assistance: "Lovely paint colours, like the eco credentials. Good coverage and nice finish. Some issues with couriers lately, but customer service always very helpful and solve problems quickly." Someone else expressed initial doubts that were quickly dispelled: "I was unsure how pink this would be, but it's just perfect," they remarked about Poise. The COAT range, in collaboration with Millie Mackintosh, is up for grabs on their website.
