The much-loved siblings joined Gogglebox in 2017, and have been a huge hit ever since.
Reaping the rewards of his popularity, the Blackpool native has made sure that any money he's made from the show hasn't gone to waste.
He's proved to be a shrewd businessman - especially when it comes to property.
The Sun can reveal how the TV star has recently opened up his own investment firm Corgi Real Estate.
He has also invested in a house in Fleetwood and an apartment in nearby Thornton-Cleveleys, each worth £80,000.
Pete has also capitalises on any earnings he makes from his TV career by setting up Corgi Media Ltd.
Nevertheless, the star's daytime job isn't just appearing on Gogglebox - which he's only contracted to do 15 hours a week - but as a roofer and builder.
He's got a business alongside a pal called TJ Joinery & Construction (NW) Ltd.
The firm is going along very nicely and in its first set of accounts filed a £88,475 profit.
Pete can't quit his regular job as he gets just £1,500 for each episode of Gogglebox, which is split with Sophie, so it's only right when he once said 'I have got to pay my mortgage somehow.'
Gogglebox's Pete Sandiford reveals he's become a dad for a second time
Pete and Sophie first appeared on their sofa - and bright yellow chair - in 2017 for the 10th season of Gogglebox.
They quickly became popular with fans of the show for their quick wit and hilarious interactions.
Aside from his humour, Pete won fans with his emotional side that he is never afraid to show.
The duo aren't the only Sandiford siblings - they have another brother and sister called Harry and Lucy who do not appear on the show.
Despite his popularity on Gogglebox, Pete still finds fame peculiar.
"I am just a builder from Blackpool, so it is a bit strange when celebrities know us, " he once said. "I was on a roof yesterday."

Lidl just dropped ‘spectacular' new bakery item — and it only costs 79p

Lidl's in-store bakery boasts more than 40 items, with everything from brownies to boules and Belgian buns. But eagle-eyed shoppers have noticed a brand new item was just added to the line-up and it stands out from the rest thanks to its colourful toppings. The budget retailer has launched a Birthday Cake Bun in the bakery, priced at 79p and it features a pale pink icing and rainbow sprinkles. From the outside, it looks like a rather standard iced bun, but inside it's hiding a fabulous fruity pink swirl. Online reactions to the new supermarket product have been mixed so far, after @newfoodsuk shared a snap of the bun on Facebook and Instagram. Some thought it looked 'yum' and 'nice' while others claimed they'd tried it and it was 'too dry for them'. So Metro decided to put the Birthday Cake Bun to the test and find out if it's worth buying, and it certainly went down a treat. James Besanvalle, Metro's assistant opinion editor, rated it a 4.5 out of 5, hailing it as 'fantastic'. He said: 'Lidl's new Birthday Cake Bun combines all the best elements of a doughnut (pink icing and sprinkles) with a scroll-like bun (jam-filled and soft in the middle). Sure, it's sweet – but who really wants a birthday cake that's not? Supremely satisfying.' And Metro's specialist food writer, Courtney Pochin, also gave one a try. While James ate his on the day of purchase, Courtney took hers home to see how it would fare the next day and she was pretty impressed by how it held up. 'As someone who eats cake and pastries for a living, I've never been the biggest fan of supermarket baked goods. They just can't compete with homemade treats from independent bakeries,' she said. 'However, the Birthday Cake Bun was a pleasant surprise.' She continued: 'After a day sat on my desk and a night in the cupboard, I didn't have high hopes for the bun, which looked rather sad and dry when I plated it up. But I'm pleased to report that somehow it had managed to stay soft instead of going stale (not going to think too much about why this might be right now). 'It's a fun twist on a classic and I have to admit I probably enjoyed it more than most people will as I realised I haven't actually had an iced bun in years. 'There's something so spectacularly nostalgic about the taste of one and it went down very nicely with a cup of tea. 'My only real gripe is that Lidl has scrimped on the hundreds and thousands on top and they're not spread out evenly. In my book, there's no such thing as too many sprinkles. 'It loses a point for poor sprinkle form, so it's a 4 out of 5 from me' Lidl isn't the only supermarket with new baked goods on its shelves, as Tesco recently wowed shoppers with its brand new chocolate cake. The retailer has teamed up with Studio Bakery, a family-run bakery business from Lancashire, to start selling the brand's giant slices of cake inspired by a nostalgic favourite – you know, that one you always wanted to reach through the screen and smash your face into in Matilda. The aptly named Matilda Cake, is a beast of a chocolate cake slice that claims to serve 10 and sees 12 layers of chocolate sponge and 12 layers of ganache stacked one on top of the other. More Trending Priced at £16 for the slice, (which is meant to serve 10 people) the product can be found in Tesco's bigger stores, but not the Express ones. On social media, shoppers have hailed it the 'best chocolate cake they've ever had', with Frankie French posting in the Food Finds UK Official group to say: 'Best chocolate cake I've ever tried, this Studio Bakery Big Matilda Cake. Can't wait to be able to buy it in Tesco.' But Metro's Courtney Pochin thinks there's a better chocolate cake out there and that's Bertha. View More » She claimed the Matilda Cake came a 'close second' to the one sold by Leeds-based bakery, Get Baked, but the overall quality just wasn't on par. Do you have a story to share? Controversial Channel 4 show has been renewed despite 'disturbing' reviews

Virgin Island received backlash from viewers for the show's 'exploitative' premise, which involved encouraging adult virgins to embrace their sexuality for the first time on TV Channel 4's boundary-pushing series Virgin Island has officially been renewed for a second series, despite a wave of backlash from shocked viewers who branded it "disturbing" and "exploitative". Virgin Island, which has been described as "groundbreaking and heartwarming" by Channel 4 bosses, followed 12 adult virgins on a journey of sexual self-discovery at a luxury Mediterranean retreat. Participants in the show were guided through a unique intimacy course by sexologists Celeste Hirschman and Dr. Danielle Harel, which is designed to help them overcome their fears around sex and connection. ‌ Although every episode aired after the 9pm watershed, many viewers were stunned by the show's unfiltered approach to experiential sex therapy – which saw one of the participants lose their virginity to sex surrogate on the show. ‌ At the time, audiences took to X to share their thoughts, with one writing: "It feels wrong to be watching this." Another viewer shared: "This is just getting disturbingly weird now." "This is so exploitative. I'm panicking myself and I'm watching it at home!! I can't even imagine being one of them right now. This is awful," wrote a third. And a fourth said: "I'm sorry but that Virgin island maybe the most disturbing thing channel 4 has ever released". Despite the controversy, Virgin Island has quickly become Channel 4's biggest streaming hit of the year across all genres. It is now the most-watched show for 16–34s in 2025 so far, overtaking major titles like Taskmaster, Gogglebox, and Married at First Sight Australia. The first season had a series average of 1.4 million viewers per episode, and received almost 9 million total streams, so it is clear the show struck a chord with younger audiences. Ian Katz, Channel 4's Chief Content Officer, said: "Virgin Island is the kind of show only Channel 4 would make – exploring an important but under-discussed social issue with warmth, sensitivity and wit. We're delighted that it resonated with younger viewers." ‌ The show's commissioning editor, Jonah Weston, added: "This is a live issue among young people, and from the brave cast to our wonderful experts, I don't think I've ever worked on anything quite so bold, warm and well-intentioned. Watch out for season 2 – it'll be even bigger and bolder." Executive Producer Rob Davis called the show's success "incredible", adding: "Its bold and fresh approach clearly struck a chord with the younger generation." ‌ One of the most controversial practises on the show was the use of surrogate partners, who were professionals the cast were allowed to practise sexual intimacy with if they so desired. However, the show's sexologists have defended Channel 4's methods, emphasising that the stars were looked after every step of the way. Celeste and Danielle shared: "A surrogate partner therapist works in conjunction with a traditional licensed therapist and then a client. The therapist is there so if anything emotional comes up for the client that they have someone to process it with, and the surrogate partner can go step-by-step through erotic experiences." Danielle continued: "During the show, all the coaches, all the practitioners were really mindful about consent. We taught them first to say no. We kept checking, tracking their like nervous system and if they're like recoiling like., 'What's happening?' "So we're constantly aware of making sure that they are comfortable even though it's not like it was easy, but they're comfortable with the next growing moment." Virgin Island participant Dave, who was the only person to lose his virginity on the show, has also spoken highly of it, saying: "I had an amazing time on the island… I can't speak highly enough of the experts and production team. I was lucky enough to achieve the ultimate aim of the series whilst on the island, and I can't wait to see the next group of participants go on the same journey. It's completely changed my life."

The pair even landed their own ITVBe spin-off, Chris & Olivia: Crackin' On, before their fiery romance fizzled out. Since going public with JoJo, 22, the couple have become social media sensations, with fans gushing over their whirlwind love story. The US pop star returned to London in May to perform a gig and enjoyed an extended stay with Chris, who she first met in March. Advertisement A JoJo fan page shared a meme of a young girl crying in London on Instagram which the pop star reposted and added: "Honestly it was worse than this more tears hahaha." It was reminiscent of the first days of their romance when Chris jetted home from the States after a week-long stay, leaving JoJo in tears. They're confident they can weather long distance though. JoJo insisted she'll never break up with Chris calling their relationship "earthquake proof". She told Capital Breakfast: "You know what's interesting? As hectic as life is, and as much as that noise goes on, I feel like Christopher and I discovered this beautiful house together. Advertisement "And this house is earthquake proof, and it's fireproof, and bulletproof. "And you know, we discovered this house and found the keys, and we took the keys and locked ourselves in, and now it's like... You know what I mean? I feel like that with myself, I feel like that with him." Jordan then quizzed JoJo on whether she had found her 'happy place' with Chris. The US star gushed: "Oh my god, absolutely! We're having the best time. He's just the best! Advertisement "I was saying this to my parents the other day. Like, I'm decently nice; he makes me look like I'm mean! "And I'm like known for being nice, that's the thing. People say to me, 'Oh, you're so nice'. "He makes me we want to be nicer, because he's such a nice human. He's the best egg in the batch! I could never get tired of speaking highly of him, he's just the best." The pair spent time with Chris's parents in the Cotswolds during her stay, enjoying time riding horses. Advertisement They couldn't keep their hands off each other at times with Chris pictured kissing JoJo on the neck. JoJo admitted she's "shocked" at how close they have become in such a short period of time. Speaking to Billboard, she said: "It blows my mind that 30 days ago I would never have even imagined that I would be friends with Chris Hughes, that's the weirdest thing, much less be one of the closest people too me now in my life who I would die for. "I think its a combination of the shared experience but also in Big Brother, you have no phone, no outside communication, no distraction, nothing. Advertisement "You only have each other. I love connecting and I love people and when someone comes into your life and you enjoy it, you can tell." 5 Chris had a reality show with ex Olivia Attwood called 'Crackin' On' and it followed the chaos of their relationship
