Kylie Kelce reacts to Taylor Swift dethroning podcast record with 'New Heights' appearance
Kylie Kelce has been dethroned as the owner of the most-watched podcast episode by none other than her husband, Jason Kelce, whose "New Heights" show welcomed Taylor Swift this week for a surprise album announcement.
Swift, who dates Kelce's cohost and brother Travis Kelce, joined the episode to share revelations about her career and relationship, shade male football fans angry at her newfound NFL fame, and to reveal a new project, "The Life of a Showgirl," which will drop in October. The announcement was followed by an Instagram blitz, which saw Swift posing in cabaret-inspired costumes and revealing a collaboration with one-time tour opener Sabrina Carpenter.
Taylor Swift announces track list for 'The Life of a Showgirl.' Here's everything to know
"Officially no longer the record holder for the most-watched episode of the other podcast. There's no way it's even close, and I love that for me," Kylie Kelce joked on the latest episode of "Not Gonna Lie," her own widely popular audio show.
Her prediction rang true, with the episode surpassing 9 million streams to date, a larger share than Kelce's record-setting September 2023 show, which raked in 8.6 million views.
"It is very entertaining to watch the internet break," Kylie Kelce joked, alluding to a glitch in the livestream of the "New Heights" episode, seemingly caused by an overabundance of viewers. "It's just crumbling apart, and I love it. I love it. I love that we know that a day before it releases, my interview on the other podcast is going to lose its long-tenured reign as most-watched episode, and I welcome that wholeheartedly. Let's drop that sucker down."
Swift's announcement quickly whipped her loyal fanbase into a frenzy, as a tracklist and a new "era" color palette spawned immediate conjecture of what might be to come for the pop superstar. Her decision to drop the news on "New Heights" signals a further cementing of the high-powered partnership between her and Kelce.

Kim Kardashian ditches her signature dark hair for new color
Kim Kardashian may no longer be "keeping up" with her dark hair color. The "Kardashians" star took to Instagram on Friday, Aug. 15, with a photo soft-launching a possible return to blonde locks in a selfie featuring her pouted lips and a hair clip attached at the top of the fashion icon's forehead. "About that time," Kardashian captioned the post. City Girls rapper JT commented, "Favorite color on you!" Kardashian's hairstylist, Chris Appleton, wrote, "The best," as the "Your Roots Don't Define You" author added a white heart emoji. Met Gala 2022: Kim Kardashian channels Marilyn Monroe When did Kim Kardashian previously have blonde hair? The Skims founder has previously embraced blonde hair. In 2022, Kardashian channeled American beauty icon and blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe's hairstyle while at that year's Met Gala. Kardashian sparked backlash when she borrowed the original skin-tight, sparkling Bob Mackie dress that Marilyn Monroe wore to sing "Happy Birthday" to President John F. Kennedy, nearly 60 years to the day after the iconic actress first did. She wore a tight, bleach blonde bun for the occasion, just two days after showing off flowing, dark hair at the White House Correspondents' Dinner with her then-boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson, during their red carpet debut. Then, two years later, she brought blonde back again for the Met Gala's 2024 edition with a platinum blonde look. Kardashian shimmered in a floral Maison Margiela dress by John Galliano as the gown's metallic silver sheen gave an ultramodern spin on "The Garden of Time" dress code. But the highlight of the night's look was her surprising hair choice: the platinum locks, parted and worn down. Contributing: Edward Segarra & Hannah Yasharoff/ USA TODAY

Jets and Giants can only hope to recreate the drought-ending magic of 1981
Here is what I wish for you, dear reader, no matter which side of the football divide you may hang your hat. I wish for you a return trip to the fall and early winter of 1981. 'Chariots of Fire' was the big picture in theaters. 'Celebration,' the perennially ubiquitous Kool & the Gang song, was on endless loop on the radio. 'Dallas,' of course, was the No. 1 TV show. And New York football emerged from protracted hibernation. Advertisement How bad was it then? Put it this way: The Giants played the Bears in the NFL title game on Dec. 29, 1963 — barely a month after the JFK assassination. That would be the last time they made the playoffs in the LBJ administration, and they would take a full pass on the Nixon, Ford and Carter administrations. Eighteen years and 17 seasons passed without a single playoff appearance. How bad was it? Put it this way: The Jets played their last game as defending champions of the NFL with 11 days left in the 1960s. They lost that day to the Chiefs in a wind-swept Shea Stadium in an AFL playoff game, then took a full pass on the entirety of the '70s without again making postseason.
