Psychologist explains how to manage ending a close friendship
Breaking up with a partner can be difficult, but losing a close friend can sometimes feel much worse. Dr. Ali Mattu explains how to move forward.
The early signs are in, and meteorologists are predicting a hard launch summer.
Lucas Bravo is taking the season seriously, heading to social media April 30 to treat fans to an Instagram-official announcement of his relationship with fellow actor Shailene Woodley.
The "Emily in Paris" heartthrob posted a carousel of photos, featuring one of the couple holding hands, one of the two sitting on the ground together while attending the Stagecoach music festival, and several of Woodley by herself enjoying the sights in nearby Slab City, California.
Shailene Woodley says she drank to cope with hunger, goes viral yet again
"Howdy Slab City," Bravo, 37, titled the photo dump. The unincorporated California territory is just a few miles from Indio, where the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals − both celebrity-packed affairs − are hosted.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Bravo and Woodley for comment.
Fans first began to speculate that Woodley, 33, was involved with Bravo when the pair were spotted together in Paris in March, in what appeared to be a PDA-filled outing.
Neither part of the duo has been particularly vocal about the new entanglement, though Bravo did offer a subtle confirmation earlier this month, responding to a question from People about the relationship by saying: "Yeah, I'm really happy."
Woodley, who was previously engaged to football player Aaron Rodgers, has yet to post Bravo to her own grid.
Woodley, who first rose to fame as the lead in the book-to-movie adaptation of the popular young adult novel "Divergent," has since become a mainstay on the film screen, and was recently tapped to join the cast of Hulu's thriller series "Paradise."
Bravo, best known for playing hunky Parisian chef and key love interest Gabriel on Netflix's "Emily in Paris," is an up-and-coming star. He has also appeared in several romantic comedies, including "The Honeymoon" and "Ticket to Paradise."

Who tackles slugs in Meghan Markle's vegetable plot?
I CAN'T wait for our fruit and veg to be ready this year. When I've picked the perfect specimens of carrots, beans, lettuce, onions, courgettes and tomatoes I'll be sure to arrange them beautifully in a wicker basket and clutch it proudly while my husband takes a few pictures. I'll then stick them on Instagram for the world to admire. Of course this isn't true. I don't have an Instagram account but, more crucially, like last year and the year before that, it will be touch and go as to whether our crops are successful - last summer they were annihilated by slugs. I hate to admit I'm envious of Meghan Markle, Her vegetable garden yields crops worthy of red rosettes at The Yorkshire Show. She shared a picture on Instagram - reproduced on news websites - of a 'garden haul' of fresh produce seemingly grown at her Montecito mansion in California. There's broccoli, carrots, corn, red peppers and squash as well as spring onions and an assortment of fresh herbs. Meghan joins the growing band of celebrities and other rich and famous people showing off their home-grown produce on social media. Critics piled in with their cynical observations, chiefly the lack of soil on any of the Duchess of Sussex's produce. They've got a point. Does Meghan get her hands dirty tending her veg? Picture: Aaron Chown/PA David Beckham's crop of picture-perfect, freshly harvested radishes - which wife Victoria posted on social media - also caught my eye. 'He's been gardening all day and here he is, tending to his vegetable patch,' her caption read. Kneeling next to a raised bed, David clutches a clean-as-a-whistle horseradish just plucked from the garden at his Cotswold estate. It wasn't the lack of soil - although the veg was spotless - that struck me about the picture, it was his clean white canvas shoes and jeans. For someone who had been gardening all day there were no grubby knees. Maybe he'd just changed for the photo, who knows? I don't doubt that either Meghan or Becks garden. Both do, and they clearly enjoy it, which is great, but do they get stuck into any real grow-your-own gardening - the sort of hard slog, permanent dirt-under-the fingernails pursuits made famous by Tom and Barbara Good in the TV show The Good Life? If you ask me it's more like dabbling Growing crops demands real effort, on a daily basis, for many weeks of the year. It is hard work, as my husband and I have discovered in the 20 years since we acquired a garden. Preparing the soil and sowing takes time, then it's a constant battle to keep on top of pests: one week you're fighting blackfly on your broad beans, the next carrot fly - and not only on carrots - and white rot on onions and leeks. There's slugs, slugs and more slugs. I've even resorted to slug patrol at midnight, to remove the slimy beasts from our young courgette plants. I can't see Meghan or David doing that. Just-sown plants need protection from birds like pigeons, sparrows, and crows, and from cats raking up the soil. Then, perhaps most important of all, there's the weather: daily watering in dry spells, preventing waterlogging and keeping them upright throughout wet periods. The Beckhams' main residence is London - a long way from those raised beds. Growing veg presents great photo opportunities, but let's face it, many lifestyles are not conducive to tending them week-in-week-out. My husband and I are lucky, I suppose - our uneventful life means we can put in the hours. Having said that, it's good to know that if we were ever away cruising the Med or shopping in New York, our wonderful neighbours over the road would happily step in and do our watering. For many famous faces growing their own, there must be help behind the scenes. So, let's hear it for the many gardeners who are beavering away out of sight, hoes in hand.

Jannik Sinner Said Model Lara Leito Isn't His Girlfriend. He's Single
Professional tennis player Jannik Sinner has explained his dating status after rumors emerged that he has a model girlfriend. Sinner gave the clarification after pictures emerged showing him walking with model Lara Leito. To be clear, he said that he's single. Sinner doesn't have a wife or a girlfriend - although he used to have the latter. Advertisement Sinner defeated tennis legend Novak Djokovic on June 6 in a thrilling semi-final match at the French Open. He now heads to the finals. In April, Sports Illustrated reported that rumors had circulated that Sinner was "now dating Lara Lieto. She is a 31-year-old Russian model who previously dated actor Adrien Brody." Although SI spelled her name Lieto, most sites give it as Leito. However, in May, Sinner told reporters that he was not dating Leito or anyone. He had a tennis pro girlfriend named Anna Kalinskaya, but they broke up, SI reported. 'There's a lot of attention,' Sinner said then, according to Tennis Up to Date. Advertisement 'Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I'm not in a relationship," he said, according to that site, which added that Leito "was seen with Sinner at the Monte-Carlo Tennis Club." People reported that Sinner's comments came at an Italian Open press conference. According to SI, Sinner, of Italy, split with "longtime girlfriend and professional tennis player Anna Kalinskaya in late 2024." SI shared an Instagram post by the site Chi Magazine that contained photos of Sinner with a woman. The page wrote, "Sinner and the new girlfriend Lara! Who is she?" According to People, Kalinskaya is a professional tennis player from Russia. Advertisement People noted that Sinner confirmed he was dating Kalinskaya in 2024, and then they were spotted together at Wimbledon. He told Vanity Fair Italia that he tries to keep his dating life private. "I like to talk about tennis, and about the sport in general. But if you're referring to private life, it's true, I want to keep it that way. I want to protect the people who are closest to me, keeping them out of this. I live it as a small task to be carried out, almost a duty: they helped me, as a young man, to acquire security in myself, and today in some way I want to protect them," he said. "During the tournaments, I am very focused. But I think it's a beautiful thing when you find a love," he said to the publication, adding that the "best tennis players in the world all have... (a) wife and children.' Advertisement Related: Jack Draper Says Tennis Makes It Hard to Have a Girlfriend Jannik Sinner Said Model Lara Leito Isn't His Girlfriend. Aryna Sabalenka Has New Boyfriend After Ex Partner's Sudden Death
Tennis pro Aryna Sabalenka has a new boyfriend, and they appear to be happy together more than a year after her ex-partner's sudden death. Her new boyfriend is Georgios Frangulis, a Brazilian-raised entrepreneur with a successful açaí business. They are very open about their romance, posting frequently about each other on social media. Advertisement Sabalenka is competing in the French Open final on June 7 against Coco Gauff. Sabalenka's ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov died tragically in 2024. However, she appears to have found a happy relationship with Frangulis in the wake of that tragedy. "She's also spoken about how happy she is with her current boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis. The Brazilian owner of brand Oakberry and the tennis star went Instagram official in May of 2024 ... and he's been seen at her matches ever since," according to USA Today. In September 2024, Sabalenka posted a photo showing her kissing Frangulis and wrote, "Happy birthday meu amor, I'm so lucky to have you by my side. Your support is priceless 🦖🐒❤️💜❤️" Sabalenka has shared other photos of them together on Instagram, writing in May, "My dinner date." Advertisement She also posted a photo showing them together in a garden four days before the French Open final. According to AS, Frangulis' family has Greek heritage, and he has lived in the U.S. sine 2014, in Miami and Venice Beach. He was raised in Brazil, the site reported. The tennis pro has explained how important Frangulis was to her as she weathered tragedy. Sabalenka told People: 'There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff." Frangulis built a successful business around healthy food. He told Forbes how he "expanded his business to 34 countries in seven years and produced 7,000 tons of açaí sorbet." He was married before, according to that story, which also revealed he previously had thyroid cancer. Advertisement Frangulis's wife was named Isabella "Beh" Armentano, but it's unclear when they broke up, according to Town and Country. He started out in law school and real estate before seeing a market in açaí. "I observed the natural demand for fast food, but also many people looking for healthy food. And I realized the little supply of fast and healthy eating. Something with pattern, with brand, with branding. The acai was beginning to gain traction in California. The cooler juice houses began to offer açaí," he told Forbes in 2023. He has posted about Sabalenka on Instagram. According to People, Koltsov, her ex-boyfriend, died by suicide in March 2024 while in Florida "to support Sabalenka's appearance at the Miami Open," although they were no longer dating at that time. Sky News reported that it's believed he jumped from a hotel balcony. Advertisement They kept their relationship private, People reported, noting that Koltsov was a former ice hockey player. Sabalenka, who said she was heartbroken by her ex-boyfriend's death, indicated later that she wished she had taken a break after he died. 'Looking back I definitely think that I should have just stopped and just separated myself from tennis, just have a little break, recharge and start things over again," she said, according to The Independent. In 2019, Sabalenka also dealt with the death of her dad, who passed away at age 43.
