Has Steph Miligan left Emmerdale for good as Georgia Jay departs?
This article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that has not aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX. Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) recently reconciled with Ross Barton (Mike Parr) in Emmerdale after a bit of timely intervention by Ross's brother Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches). Ross and Steph had formed quite a bond after getting together initially through a combination of lust and Steph wanting to wind her parents up. The relationship evolved into one of genuine affection on both sides. But then Steph learned that her beloved grandfather Anthony (Nicholas Day) was actually her biological father after he abused her mum, Ruby (Beth Cordingly). And then she found that Ruby had killed Anthony and his body had been disposed of by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in an as yet to be disclosed location. In the aftermath of discovering Anthony's abuse, Steph became fixated on her resemblance to him and was so desperate she even tried to have surgery to alter her appearance. Ross wanted to support her through this hard time, but she pushed him away. She's since been going to therapy to try to help her move on. Lewis's recent match-making brought the two back together again, and this time Steph felt comfortable enough for them to sleep together. After this, Ross declared that there hadn't been anyone else in his life since he and Steph broke up, casually omitting to mention he'd had a fling with Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker). This was exposed by Manpreet while in the cafe with Lewis and Ruby, who were gossiping about her love life – or lack thereof. Manpreet casually confirmed she slept with Ross just as he walked into the cafe with Steph. Unaware that the couple were back together, Manpreet didn't realise she had unintentionally just exposed Ross as a liar. Steph, who had worked hard to tell herself that she could trust Ross again, was devastated and made it clear she didn't want to continue their relationship. And even Ross admitting that he was in love with Steph wasn't enough! In the episode of the ITV soap that airs this evening, Steph tells her parents that she's booked a yoga retreat in Rome. She wants to get away from the village for a while, and Ruby and Caleb (William Ash) are very understanding. Just as she gets into the taxi, Ross tries to get her to change her mind, but Steph doesn't want to be anywhere near him. Steph's departure ties in with Georgia Jay's maternity leave, following the announcement she is expecting her first baby. As ever with temporary departures, we will see Steph again soon, but just when that will be remains unknown at the moment. Announcing her pregnancy on Instagram, Georgia wrote back in June: 'As you've probably guessed, I've got some news to share! I know some of you have been wondering if you've been seeing a little bump on screen lately… well, it's not your imagination…I'm having a baby!'. She added: 'We've never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support.' In upcoming episodes Ruby decides to confront Manpreet at the surgery about her fling with Ross. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Manpreet's embarrassed and later on turns up at the Depot to retaliate. Ruby refuses to speak to her, so Manpreet hijacks a forklift and refuses to get off until Ruby talks to her. More Trending Goading Ruby, Manpreet brings up the subject of her ill-advised dalliance with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) on the day of Moira (Natalie J Robb)'s surgery. Ruby brushes this off as it's old news, but when Manpreet mentions Steph, Ruby flips and attacks her. The fight escalates and they're both eventually arrested and taken into custody – giving them ample opportunity to thrash out their differences. Adam Thomas suffers double blow as ITV's 99 to Beat axed after just one series
Soap brothers Adam and Ryan Thomas fronted a brand new gameshow, 99 To Beat, but the Squid Game-like programme is being axed after airing just one series on ITV Ryan and Adam Thomas ' gameshow 99 to Beat has been axed by ITV after just one series. The Squid Game like TV challenge debuted this March, airing just before Britain's Got Talent during Saturday primetime. The hosts and show received mixed responses, with some even calling the brothers the "next Ant and Dec". However, the show may have not impressed enough as former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas announced that the show had been axed by the broadcaster. It was the first time the duo had presented a TV show together, and even featured an appearance from their brother, Love Island star Scott Thomas. It's a double blow for Adam, who experienced another ITV show axe back in 2020, when I'm A Celebrity Extra Camp was taken off air. On the latest episode of their podcast, At Home With The Thomas Bro's, Adam explained: "When I am positive about something, it gets cancelled. "Honestly, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Like I did [ I'm a Celebrity spin off] Extra Camp presenting, did one series of that, got cancelled. The next presenting job I did was with Ryan, 99 to Beat, and that's got cancelled." The axed show saw 100 people being pitted against each other in a variety of challenges in order to win a huge cash prize of £25,000. After each game, those who lost were made to leave the competition for good until there was only one player left, having defeated the other 99. Caitlin Lawlor won the huge cash prize at the end of the series, with the financial crime associate telling Lorraine after her win: "I loved it, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so, so glad I took it." Adam's sad news comes weeks after he sent Emmerdale fans into a frenzy after teasing a return for his character. However, fans hoping to see a return for Adam Barton may have to wait a little longer. Last month, the star took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself with the iconic sign, as he penned: "I'm BACK!!!!" Adam's post sent fans wild, with one writing: "Is this true? Please be true!!!" as a second fan penned: "I really hope this is true as you were my favourite Barton ever!!!!!!!" However, the Mirror understands there's currently no return planned for Adam, and he was on set for another reason. Many fans weren't falling for the prankster's post - as they predict he's there for another show.

Kelsey Parker says 'I can't believe I am back here' in first TV interview since death of her baby Phoenix - three years after losing her husband to cancer
Kelsey Parker opened up about the devastating loss of her baby Phoenix on Thursday's instalment of Lorraine who was 'born sleeping' - three years after she was widowed. The 34-year-old appeared on the ITV show to chat to Christine Lampard, 46, about the tragic loss of her third child in June who she shares with boyfriend Will Lindsay, 27 and said: 'I can't believe I am back here.' Her recent heartbreak comes three years after her husband Tom Parker - who she shares Aurelia, four, and Bohdi, three with - died from brain tumour aged 33. Christine said to Kelsey: 'You've had to learn to live with various coping mechanisms since Tom passed away, suddenly you're having to tap into those again. 'I know the children have been, and always will be this driving force for you... you still have to make them breakfast, take them to school. You still have to create a normal life for them...' Kelsey said: 'My kids are my everything, they have got me through the darkest of times, I can't believe I'm back here three and a half years later dealing with such a loss and a devastation but me and Will have the kids and they have to have normality, they have to go to school. 'I did do the school run and for me, I think you have to rip the plaster off at some point, and if I'd left it until after the summer holidays and I came back and saw the parents, people don't know what to say, we are so awful about talking about grief, loss and death and us as a family, we're not. 'So, I did get up and do the school run, I faced everyone.' Kelsey also explained how she explains to them what has happened to their little brother. She explained: 'It's being honest, it's telling them facts because I never wanted them to feel like I've not been honest… 'I don't like the thought of them being in separate rooms to adults and adults having separate conversations because kids listen.' Kelsey added: 'They've gone through this before, they've lost their dad, they know their dad is with the angels now so we've said Phoenix has gone with your daddy.' When Christine asked her how she and Will are doing, she said: 'We just take each day, and each day looks so different for both of us but I'm strong. 'I keep saying this but I am actually really strong and the one thing that we are guaranteed is that we are going to die and I do think talking about death and grief is so important.' Kelsey revealed that she was pregnant with her third child back in January this year. But she revealed the heartbreaking news that her son Phoenix was stillborn when she was 39 weeks. She posted a poem which stated: 'For Phoenix. 'Born sleeping, forever loved. 'The world grew so quiet as you arrived. So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. 'Our precious boy, our angel light, born with wings, took silent flight. 'We named you Phoenix, brave and bright, a soul of love, of warmth and light. 'Though we never heard you cry, you'll live in hearts that won't ask why. 'No breath you drew, no eyes to see, still, you mean everything to me. 'You'll journey with us, softly near, in every sigh, in every tear.' Kelsey went official with Will back in September last year. It comes after podcaster Kelsey revealed that she is taking 'each day as it comes' in a recent interview. In her first interview since the tragedy, she said: 'I didn't think I'd be living a relived experience, first losing Tom and now losing Phoenix. 'But I think with any grief and loss, you have to take each day as it come and work through it.' Kelsey and Tom started dating in 2011 after they met in 2009. The pair tied the knot in 2018. A stillbirth occurs when a baby is born dead after 24 weeks of pregnancy. If a baby dies before 24 weeks of pregnancy, it is known as a pregnancy loss. Not all stillbirths can be prevented, however, not smoking or drinking, as well as not sleeping on your back and attending all antenatal appointments can reduce the risk. What are the signs? Signs may include the baby not moving as much as normal. Pregnant women should contact their doctor immediately if they notice a difference to their baby's movement. What are the causes? Stillbirths do not always have an obvious cause but may occur due to complications with the placenta or a birth defect. They are also more likely to occur if women suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes or an infection that affects the baby, such as flu. Stillbirths are more likely to occur if women are having twins or multiple pregnancies, are overweight, smoke, are over 35 or have a pre-existing condition, such as epilepsy. What happens after a stillbirth? If a baby has died, women may wait for their labour to start naturally or they may be induced if their health is at risk. Bereavement support groups are available to parents who have suffered stillbirths. Some find it helpful to name their baby or take pictures with them.
