Gwyneth Paltrow enters the viral kiss cam controversy at Coldplay concert chat
Paltrow joked about being hired on a "very temporary basis" to speak for the company's 300+ employees. She deadpanned that Astronomer was thrilled by the public's sudden interest in data workflow automation and even plugged their upcoming DataOps conference. Iconic behaviour, honestly.

Astronomer's office scandal goes viral on Coldplay's stage
The drama began on July 15, when Coldplay's Chris Martin spotted two audience members caught looking way too cosy on the jumbotron. When they saw themselves on the big screen, the man ducked and the woman bolted, prompting Martin to joke that they were either shy or having an affair.
Unfortunately for them, the internet exists. Viewers quickly identified the pair as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, both of whom are married to other people. The clip, originally posted by a concertgoer, exploded across TikTok and X, turning a Coldplay show into a corporate meltdown.
The aftermath, resignations and reactions
Following the viral moment, Byron resigned on July 19 after an internal investigation. Astronomer confirmed he had failed to meet company conduct standards. Cabot soon followed suit, stepping down on July 24. Neither has publicly addressed the scandal.
Internet users, however, could not get enough. X was flooded with applause for Astronomer's damage control. One user called it 'amazing crisis management,' while another dubbed it a 'PR masterclass.'

Paltrow's power move
Paltrow, ever the queen of reinvention, managed to take the spotlight off the affair and shine it on the company's actual product. She shut down spicy questions mid-video and refocused the message, saying Astronomer is now going back to doing what it does best: delivering data-driven results. Goop who?

George Clooney doesn't 'give a s**t' about critics who say he only plays himself in movies
Hollywood star George Clooney is brushing off long-standing criticism about his acting range. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the Oscar-winning actor addressed claims that he often plays a version of himself on screen, saying, 'Do people say that I only play myself? I don't give a s**t.' George Clooney will be seen in Jay Kelly next Expanding on his point, the 64-year-old defended the versatility he's brought to his film roles over the years. 'There aren't that many guys in my age group that are allowed to do both broad comedies like O Brother, Where Art Thou? and then do Michael Clayton or Syriana. So if that means I'm playing myself all the time, I don't give a s**t. … Have you ever tried playing yourself? It's hard to do,' he said. George, whose on-screen charm has often blurred with his off-screen persona, reflected on how the timing of his success shaped his perspective. 'I've been the beneficiary of having my career not be massively successful in lots of different directions,' he explained. 'I didn't really get successful, in the kind of success that can be blinding, until I was 33 years old. I'd been working for 12 years at that point. I had a real understanding of how fleeting all of it is and how little it has to do with you, quite honestly,' added George. The actor and filmmaker, is far from slowing down. He will next be seen in Jay Kelly, written by Noah Baumbach and Emily Mortimer. In the movie, George plays the titular role of a world-famous movie star in his 60s who travels to an Italian film festival to receive a tribute award — only to confront a deeply personal reckoning. The film also stars Laura Dern as his longtime publicist and Adam Sandler as his manager. Whether he's playing 'himself' or not, George Clooney's staying power — and refusal to play by anyone's rules but his own — is part of what continues to define his career.

Techie once played young Amitabh Bachchan in movies. Today he has built a Rs 200 crore empire in the US. Who is Alankar Joshi?
Alankar Joshi , widely recognized by the moniker Master Alankar , enjoyed immense popularity as a child actor in the Hindi film industry during the 1970s. With a career that spanned over a hundred films, he captivated audiences with his charming screen presence and mature performances. His roles in acclaimed films such as Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Majboor (1974), and Deewar (1975) solidified his status as one of the era's most beloved young talents. Alankar's entry into Deewar came through a chance encounter with legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra. As recounted by his sister, the National Award-winning actress Pallavi Joshi, they had gone to visit Chopra on set. During that visit, superstar Amitabh Bachchan noticed Alankar and suggested he portray the younger version of his character Vijay. Chopra agreed, and Alankar was brought on board to play the childhood phase of one of Bollywood 's most iconic roles. When Alankar noticed the senior actor tying a knot in his shirt during a scene, he requested the director's permission to mirror the gesture. That eye for detail was a testament to his dedication and intuitive understanding of his craft, even at a very young age. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Susan Boyle Is Now so Thin and Looks Beautiful! Undo The End of an Era and a Shift in Direction Despite his success as a child artist, Alankar found it difficult to make the transition to adult roles in the film industry. According to Pallavi Joshi, he did explore acting opportunities as an adult but soon realized that the admiration he once enjoyed as a child actor wouldn't easily follow him into maturity. He later experimented with direction and production in the Marathi entertainment sector, and while he did well, his true interests lay elsewhere. Alongside his film work, Alankar always maintained a strong focus on academics. Understanding the fickle nature of fame, he pursued education diligently to ensure he had a backup career. That foresight eventually led him to the software industry. Reinvention in the Tech World Eventually stepping away from films, Alankar moved to the United States and entered the tech field. He worked for two years at a software company before launching his own firm with a friend. That venture turned out to be a major success. According to Financial Express, his current net worth stands at an estimated Rs 200 crore. He has now been living in the U.S. for over three decades. A Family Rooted in Creativity Creativity continues to thrive in Alankar's family. His twin daughters have both chosen careers in acting, making a mark in the Hollywood industry. His son, meanwhile, is pursuing his passion for music and is an aspiring singer. One of his daughters, Anuja Joshi, is particularly known for her work in both India and the U.S., including her role in the psychological thriller web series Hello Mini, streamed on Amazon MX Player. Alankar's extended family is equally entrenched in the arts. His elder sister, Padmashri Joshi, is a respected actor in the Marathi film scene, and his brother-in-law, Vivek Agnihotri, is a well-known filmmaker. Reflecting on a Fulfilling Life In a 2024 conversation with Times Now, Alankar reflected on his early acting years with fondness and pride. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with legendary figures in Indian cinema and described himself as a former athlete—once in the game, now retired, but remembered for his highlights. When asked if he missed the glitz of showbiz, he calmly stated that the allure of fame never defined him. He had always been close enough to the spotlight to appreciate it without craving its intensity. Alankar Joshi's life is a rare blend of early fame, reinvention, and grounded success. From the bustling sets of Bollywood classics to the tech corridors of America, he has charted a path that blends passion with pragmatism, leaving behind a legacy not just of memorable performances, but of wise choices and lasting fulfillment.
