Nicola Peltz's latest Instagram post has been hijacked after she and husband, Brooklyn, swerved David Beckham's 50th birthday on Saturday. The couple were a no-show at the milestone celebrations, which were attended by all the former footballer's other children - including Romeo, who Brooklyn is reportedly not speaking to.
Nicola, 30, who is said to be at the centre of the family's feud, with some sources accusing her of 'controlling' her husband, is yet to speak out on the drama. However, after she took to social media flogging sun cream on Monday, fans had their say about the fallout. Responding to her video in which she looks seductively into the camera, holding a bottle of Isdin sunscreen while explaining that "May is melanoma awareness month", one of the actress' fans replied: "Why don't you like your in-laws? Don't you go to any of their events?"
Another wrote: "You should have gone to your father-in-law's birthday party. It's rude of you not to attend and cause an issue." Meanwhile, another fumed: "You should both be ashamed! His father has just turned 50. Shocking!"
Nicola and Brooklyn reportedly asked David and Victoria if they could celebrate the birthday privately, with sources suggesting Brooklyn didn't want to go to the big knees-up because of Romeo's girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
A source close to Brooklyn told The Sun: "He flew to London with the sole intention of seeing his family and celebrating his dad's birthday.
"He suggested going for breakfast or a coffee but was told the only chance to see the family would be at one of their lavish parties which Kim would likely be at, so he refused. As far as he sees it, his parents have chosen Romeo and his new girlfriend over him."
Brooklyn, who allegedly dated Kim back in 2016, is apparently concerned about Kim's 'motives' for dating Romeo and is said to have been left 'saddened' by the split on Saturday. However, a friend of the Beckhams has accused billionaire heiress Nicola of 'controlling' the wannabe chef, adding that David, who was reportedly 'really hurt' after the no-show and Victoria are "done" with her.
They told the Daily Mail: "Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now.
"Nicola basically finds a way to start an argument then she pushes him to not speak to his family and then he doesn't show for family events. She's done this before every family event since the wedding. As for David's birthday, it feels like it's all part of the same pattern.
"There were different kinds of events so he could have surely found one that would have suited them, so it makes you think there was drama after drama while they were here. He's a kind boy who clearly doesn't feel he can stand up to Nicola."
On Monday, David told Brooklyn he missed his firstborn when the former footballer went on a fishing trip with sons Romeo and Brooklyn.
Tagging the self-confessed "nutter in the kitchen" alongside a photo of the trio, he wrote: "@brooklynbeckham you were missed".
Brooklyn, meanwhile, and Nicola pulled out of the Met Gala on Monday, because they reportedly wanted to celebrate with David in the UK - privately.
