Ozzy Osbourne's funeral details 'revealed' with moving nod to his beloved hometown
A tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly being planned for his hometown of Birmingham, ahead of a smaller private funeral. This news emerged just a day after the musician's passing was announced.
The Osbourne family revealed last evening that the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath had passed away at 76, surrounded by his family yesterday morning. His wife Sharon Osbourne, 72, and four of his children released a collective statement.
The announcement sparked a flood of tributes for Ozzy, who reunited with his former bandmates for a farewell concert in Birmingham earlier this month. Since then, flowers have been placed on the Black Sabbath Bridge bench and the bridge itself, as fans visit the site to pay their respects, the Mirror reports.
It's now been reported that a high-profile celebration of Ozzy's life could be held in the coming weeks, before a smaller, private funeral. Among those rumoured to be involved with the memorial event is Yungblud, 27.
Yungblud, who performed at Ozzy's farewell concert Back to the Beginning, earlier this month, was believed to have developed a close bond with the late singer-songwriter. He shared with fans that he was "truly heartbroken" upon hearing the news last night.
A source told The Sun: "There are conversations about a celebration of his life in Birmingham, the city that meant so much to him. Artists like Yungblud, who was seen by Ozzy as a musician who could carry on the mantle of what he started all those years ago, is expected to have a role in it."
They added that many celebrities will want to pay their respects alongside countless fans. The source said, "There are hundreds of big names who will want to pay their respects and celebrate his life and legacy, as well as thousands of fans who would line the streets to say goodbye."
It was announced yesterday that Ozzy, who had battled various health problems over the years, had passed away. His wife Sharon and four of his children - Louis, Aimee, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne - released a statement.
The statement read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis."
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, was one of the many who paid tribute to Ozzy after the news broke. He shared a heartfelt post on Instagram reflecting on their friendship, accompanied by recent backstage photos of the two together.
The 27-year-old wrote in his tribute: "I didn't think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don't."
"I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough," continued.
Yungblud, who recently released a charity cover of Black Sabbath's song Changes, ended his tribute with: "You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time."

Justin Bieber blows off steam as he goes shooting with friends on guys' trip
Justin Bieber took to Instagram on Sunday with a slew of photos from what appeared to be a trip with friends. The 31-year-old superstar — who shared a cryptic four-word post on Saturday — shared snapshots of himself shooting at a target in the woods. He bared his heavily tattooed arms and torso while going shirtless and wearing a pair of black sweatshorts. The father-of-one — whose son Jack Blues, whom he shares with wife Hailey, will turn one this month — sported black socks and white slippers. Justin wore a pair of sporty, translucent sunglasses and protective electronic ear muffs. He didn't bother captioning the images, which he spread out over multiple posts. One snapshot showed the music artist sitting in the backseat of a van while music producer Carter Lang drove and other guy friends piled in. Another picture showed Justin in a slogan sweatshirt with his infamous quote, 'It's not clocking to you.' It comes after the Daisies hitmaker appeared online Saturday evening to share a vague post with his 294 million Instagram followers. He shared a closeup black and white selfie and added a cryptic caption: 'Broke another olive branch.' The lifelong performer didn't add any context, but he could have been hinting at ending another friendship after a June post included screenshots from a heated text exchange he had with a former buddy. In February a rep for the star told TMZ he's had a 'very transformative' past year, in which 'he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.' Last week the singer admitted to 'selfish' behavior in another social media caption, writing, 'Thanking Jesus for his patience with me this morning. I can be extremely selfish and impatient yet Jesus always has his arms open toward me.' The boys' day out posted on Sunday seemed to also include music-making, as Justin shared photos singing into a studio microphone. There were also outtakes of the global star holding a guitar while dressed in a gray sweatshirt. Justin released his surprise seventh studio album, SWAG, to great fanfare on July 11. Several songs make mention of his public persona, personal struggles, and his commitment to his wife Hailey and their baby. There is also a theme of interludes featuring comedian Druski, in which Justin engages in candid 'therapy sessions' with the social media star. Rumors have recently circulated that the music sensation will tour Australia following the album release. Justin has not confirmed whether he will be touring, nor has Frontier Touring, who told Rolling Stone it had no information on any potential Australian tour dates.

Not your average Dad jokes: the comedian that all my mum friends fancy
George Lewis has been my maternity leave companion. The 37-year-old comedian from Stockport clocks up hundreds of thousands of views for his Instagram reels. Mums on maternity leave, he tells me, form a big bulk of his audience. I can see why. On the trials of parenting young children, he is brilliantly entertaining and instantly relatable — an antidote to all those social media accounts sharing visions of perfect parenting. And fellow mums admit to a bit of a crush on Lewis. With his very good hair and cheeky grin, he is a dad you might not mind bumping into at the school gate. He started posting comedy sketches on Instagram during the pandemic and it was the parenting ones that struck a chord. He has three children, aged two, five and seven, with his wife, Harriet, and 625,000 remarkably well-behaved Instagram followers. His series in which two toddlers chat to one another like adult friends is among his most popular content. The toddlers (both played by Lewis) discuss the devastation of dropping a piece of banana on the floor, adding 'character' to blank, freshly painted walls with a crayon, and the impact of dropping the daytime nap: 'Maybe it has affected me a little bit.' We've all been there.

Spice Girl Mel B celebrates marriage with ‘spiritual' ceremony in Morocco
It comes after the 50-year-old, whose real name is Melanie Brown, married hairdresser Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in July, having announced their engagement in October 2022. In a post on Instagram, Brown said: 'We got married, again! 'A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fave place at @selmanmarrakech we had the time of our lives.' A post shared by 'scary spice Mel B' (@officialmelb) The singer wore a red dress with crystals and bugle beads made in a collaboration between Evelie Bridal and wedding dress designer Justin Alexander at the ceremony at the Selman Hotel on Saturday. Her choice of dress was guided by Caroline Black from London-based Evelie Bridal, who aimed to reflect her life in the US, where she is a judge on America's Got Talent. Black told the PA news agency: 'For Mel's Morocco wedding dress, we focused on trying Justin Alexander gowns with a little extra sparkle. 'Mel loved the idea of a red dress — something bold, with lots and lots of shimmer — but it also had to feel light and easy to move in. 'We drew inspiration from a variety of dresses she tried on at Evelie South Kensington, then went back and forth brainstorming with Justin Alexander and his design team. 'After several conversations and sketches, the first design took shape. Mel gave us clear feedback on what she liked and what she didn't, and the final result was beautiful. 'Mel had such a strong sense of what she wanted — it was a joy working with her and Justin Alexander to bring her vision to life.' The dress required a team of six artisans and took more than 850 hours to complete. Her husband wore an Alexander McQueen outfit featuring a white shirt and jacket with black trousers and shoes. The London wedding saw Brown joined by guests including bandmate Emma Bunton, model Daisy Lowe, and comedians Tom Allen and Katherine Ryan. The singer was previously married to Stephen Belafonte until she filed for divorce in 2017 following allegations of abuse. They have a daughter, Madison Brown Belafonte. Brown also has two daughters, Phoenix Chi Gulzar and Angel Iris Murphy Brown, from two previous relationships. With the Spice Girls, the singer had nine UK number one singles and two UK number one albums. The group was best known for songs such as Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Who Do You Think You Are?.
