Weekly Vastu remedies for all zodiac signs; August 17 to August 23, 2025
With the Sun shining in Leo — a placement that fuels leadership, courage, and decision-making — you'll benefit from activating the
southeast corner
of your home, linked to fire energy in Vastu.
Keep this corner clean, bright, and clutter-free. Place a small red object here, such as a candle holder, cushion, or decorative bowl, to ignite motivation and strengthen determination.
Avoid water elements in this zone, as they may weaken focus this week.
Taurus
The Moon moving through your sign early in the week brings stability and emotional comfort. To enhance this, focus on the
northeast corner
of your home, which governs peace, clarity, and spiritual growth.
Remove any heavy or unused items, and place a bowl of fresh water or a vase of fresh flowers. This will help you feel calm, balanced, and ready to make wise, stress-free decisions.
Gemini
With Jupiter and Venus together in your sign, this week is filled with learning, creativity, and fresh opportunities. The
north direction
in Vastu is linked to career growth, intellect, and communication — all areas highlighted for you now.

Keep the north side of your home or workspace well-lit and obstruction-free. If possible, work or study facing north. Adding a green indoor plant here can further boost clarity and attract new ideas.
Cancer
Mercury in your sign enhances communication and emotional connections. To harness this, keep the
northwest corner
of your home clean, airy, and open. This direction influences social bonds and movement. Place a small white, silver, or cream-colored object here — such as a vase, photo frame, or decorative bowl — to encourage smoother conversations and greater cooperation at home and work.
Leo
The Sun in your sign brings authority, confidence, and recognition, while Ketu reminds you to lead with humility. The
east direction
in Vastu is tied to the Sun's energy and life force. Keep this area clean and let natural sunlight flow in. Place a bright yellow or golden decorative item here to radiate positivity and attract respect. Avoid storing unused items in the east this week, as they can dull your influence.
Virgo
Mars in your sign fuels productivity and action, but it needs proper direction to avoid stress. The
west direction
in Vastu relates to stability, career progress, and reputation.
Keep this area uncluttered and well-organized. It's a great place to plan, brainstorm, or store important documents. Adding a healthy green plant or fresh flowers here will keep your energy steady and productivity high.
Libra
Partnerships, joint ventures, and relationships are highlighted this week. The
southwest corner
in Vastu governs stability and trust in relationships. Keep this zone solid, heavy, and tidy. Avoid moving heavy furniture out of here, as stability is key.
Place a pair of matching decorative items — like cushions or candles — to strengthen harmony in both personal and professional bonds.
Scorpio
The Moon's midweek influence brings emotional strength and healing. The
northeast corner
of your home becomes your sanctuary. Keep it peaceful with calming décor such as a white cloth, crystal, or small water feature. Avoid dust or clutter here, as they can block clarity. Spend a few quiet minutes in this corner each morning with deep breathing to feel centered and in control.
Sagittarius
With Jupiter encouraging growth and exploration, the
north direction
is especially auspicious for you. This space supports big-picture thinking and future planning. Keep it bright and active — ideal for studying, meditating, or vision board planning. Adding a map, inspirational quotes, or a globe here can inspire you to take bold steps in both personal and professional life.
Capricorn
Pluto retrograde in your sign calls for transformation, making space — both physical and mental — essential. The
southwest corner
represents stability, and keeping it orderly will help you handle changes without unease.
Remove broken, unused, or damaged items. Placing earthy elements like a clay pot, terracotta décor, or brown cushions will ground your energy and help you adapt to new beginnings.
Aquarius
Rahu in your sign fuels bold ideas and unconventional thinking. The
west direction
in your home can channel this creativity. Keep it open and clutter-free. Avoid blocking it with bulky furniture. Place a metallic object, such as a brass piece or silver bowl, to stimulate innovation and help you act on your unique ideas.
Pisces
With Saturn retrograde in your sign, patience and steady effort are key. The
east direction
is your power zone this week. Keep it clean and allow natural light in. If possible, sit facing east in the morning while setting intentions for the day. Adding a small plant or fresh flowers here will help you stay hopeful and focused, even if progress feels slow.

Hyderabad faces rising electrocution risk due to dangling electric wires
1 2 3 4 Hyderabad: The city is facing a serious threat of electrocution as thousands of wires continue to hang loosely from electric poles across the city. With poles installed every 30 to 40 meters, the extent of the problem is evident and alarming. Over the past few months, this hazard has already claimed at least 15 lives, including one on Independence Day and another during the Krishna Janmashtami procession. Even those lying on footpaths have become victims to poor cables. In June, two footpath dwellers died due to electrocution at LB Nagar after a high tension wire snapped and fell on them. On Aug 15, an electrician died of electrocution while making preparations for Independence Day at a private hotel in Jeedimetla. In a similar incident a month ago, a 32-year-old private worker from Kukatpally was electrocuted while trying to tie a flexi for a festival to be organised at a local temple. The victim, climbed an arch to tie the flexi when he came in contact with an overhead high-tension wire and was electrocuted on spot. In 2020 alone, over 800 lost their lives to electrocution. Although TGSPDCL claims to have cleared high-tension (HT) cables, low-tension (LT) wires still dangle precariously along residential streets, putting citizens at constant risk. "We have cleared dangling wires on all main corridors. However, in the colonies, we are struggling to clear them due to backlash from local vendors and players. In fact, our electric poles are being used for all kinds of cables, compromising the safety of our LT lines," said an official from TGSPDCL. 'Unused cable caused accident' Meanwhile, officials at TGSPDCL said that the Ramanthapur accident, which claimed five lives, occurred when an unused cable, strung between two buildings, fell onto an 11 KV overhead line. The impact caused the live current to pass through the copper wiring of the fallen cable, which in turn came into contact with an iron-framed chariot, leading to the incident. They further clarified that the electricity department had no role in negligence, as the 11 KV line at the spot stands at a height of more than 20 feet, and an aerial bundled cable was already installed earlier in place of the LT overhead line. The main cause, they noted, was the private cable improperly connected between buildings. Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI). Residents voice concern after sighting of wild boar at Taljai Hill
1 2 Pune: Residents living in the vicinity of Taljai Hill near Sahakarnagar have voiced concern over the sighting of a wild boar in the area on Monday morning. They have urged the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) authorities to check whether there are other wild boars on the hill. "Many morning walkers visit the hill daily and wild boars can cause harm to the visitors. Attacks on people cannot be ruled out," said Nitin Kadam, a local activist. The PMC official said they would visit the site and take necessary measures in association with the forest department. Around 650 acres of the hill are under the jurisdiction of the forest department and 400 acres under PMC. A fire had broken out on the hill in Feb this year. Amey Godse, an environment lover, said, "Though the forest is a natural habitat for the boar, it is surprising to see it in Taljai. The animal is very aggressive and the possibility of it attacking humans cannot be ruled out. So, if a wild boar was found at Taljai, the morning walkers should be more vigilant." "It is a good sign that the boar was seen. Citizens as well as the authorities should create more awareness about the presence of the animal," said Sanjay Athavale, an environment lover. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Compare Spreads: Bitcoin vs Ethereum CFDs IC Markets Learn More Undo Residents said citizens from Sahakarnagar, Satara Road, and even from Wadgaon areas visit Taljai Hill daily. A number of projects like oxygen park, Taljai redevelopment, and biodiversity conservation has been planned by the PMC for the upkeep of the hill. "Apart from creating awareness about the sighting, our department will also get in touch with the health department. They will take necessary steps for deploying agencies to catch the boar," said Ashok Ghorpade, head of PMC's garden department. Audio reveals ordeal of tourists stranded in dark inside R'bore
1 2 Jaipur: An audio recording between a woman tourist and a tour operator has revealed the harrowing experience of those who were left stranded inside Ranthambore Tiger Reserve Saturday evening after their Canter safari vehicle broke down deep within the forest. According to the recorded conversation, the group was stuck for nearly one hour and forty-five minutes in an area known as a three-tiger territory (zone-6). The woman recounted that the vehicle failed around 6pm, plunging the tourists into panic. With no mobile network to call for help, the situation grew tense. The guide, she alleged, abandoned the group altogether, taking a lift from another vehicle to exit the park. By 7pm, no rescue had arrived. The woman said one of the tourists, Mohit, managed to reach the main entry gate by requesting another vehicle and pleaded for assistance, stressing that his seven-month-old child was among those stranded. However, when he appealed to a Canter driver for help, the driver allegedly demanded full payment before agreeing. At the chowki, staff reportedly dismissed his pleas, telling him it was not their responsibility. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like When Knee Pain Hits, Start Eating These Foods, and Feel Your Pain Go Away (It's Genius) Read More Undo Relief came only between 7.30pm and 7.45pm when another Canter finally arrived. But, the rescue vehicle had no functioning headlights, forcing the driver to rely on a torch to make his way through the forest. By then, children had broken into tears as darkness closed in. Fortunately, no wild animal appeared during the ordeal," the woman said. In the wake of the incident, action was taken. Forest department banned three Canter drivers and one guide until further orders. An inquiry was also ordered, with the assistant conservator of forests (tourism) directed to submit a report within three days. The order was issued by the deputy conservator of forests (tourism).
