Dhadak Box Office Preview: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer run time, screen count, advance booking & opening day
The film is seeing an all-India release by Zee Studios in consultation with Dharma Productions, and the partners have strategically opted for a restrained release on about 1000 screens. The release is planned more towards the urban markets, with the hope of a surge over the weekend based on audience feedback.
The advance bookings for Dhadak 2 opened on Wednesday evening, and the response has been on the expected lines. The film has sold about 15,000 tickets in the national chains as on Thursday at 7.00 PM and is headed for a closing in the vicinity of 25,000 tickets. The first day business of Dhadak 2 is expected to be in the range of Rs 3.75 crore to Rs 4.25 crore, and the hope is to capitalize from this start and grow over the weekend.
Dhadak 2 is a film relying on word of mouth of the audience, and if reports come in its favour, the romantic saga will be looking to show big spikes on Saturday and Sunday to consolidate with good results over the weekend. With romance being the flavour of the season, Dhadak 2 could spring a surprise if reports from the audience come in its favour.

Dhadak 2 box office collection day 4: Siddhant Chaturvedi-Triptii Dimri film struggles after slow start, earns ₹1 crore
Dhadak 2 box office collection day 4: Expectations were high for Dhadak 2, the Hindi language remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. The film, helmed by Shazia Iqbal and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in lead roles, received mostly positive reviews upon its release. However, that has not turned into box office numbers as the film continues to struggle amid other new releases. (Also read: Son of Sardaar 2 vs Dhadak 2 box office report card: Which sequel fared better over the weekend?) Dhadak 2 box office collection day 4: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri shared screen space for the first time in the film. Dhadak 2 box office update As per the latest update on Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 collected ₹1.04 crore on its fourth day of release (as per early estimates), its lowest so far. A dip in collection on Monday is expected, but that has hurt the momentum of the film, especially given that the film has not shown considerable growth during the weekend. Its highest single-day collections were recorded on Sunday, with ₹ 4.15 crore. The overall collection now stands at ₹ 12.44 crore. Dhadak 2 had an overall 12.75% Hindi Occupancy on Monday. Dhadak 2 is facing stiff competition from multiple releases, including Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, animation epic Mahavatar Narsimha, and the blockbuster Saiyaara. About Dhadak 2 Dhadak 2 is a standalone sequel to the 2018 Dhadak. However, it is not connected to the original narrative or characters. It tells the tale of a law student who falls for his classmate, only for her family to harass him due to caste differences. It is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures. Dhadak 2 was initially slated to hit the big screen in November 2024, but it experienced several delays following the reported hurdles with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). These hurdles were resolved only recently after the makers agreed to significant cuts and modifications to the film.

Son of Sardaar 2 box office collection day 4: Ajay Devgn's film witnesses drop amid tough competition from Saiyaara
Son of Sardaar 2 box office collection day 4: Ajay Devgn's comedy-drama released in theatres on August 1 and clashed with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2. While the film has managed to stay ahead of Dhadak 2, it is still struggling at the box office and has now seen a decline in collections on its first Monday. Son of Sardaar 2 box office collection day 4: Ajay Devgn headlines the comedy with Mrunal Thakur and Ravi Kishan for company. Son of Sardaar 2 witnesses a dip on first Monday According to Sacnilk, Ajay's film closed its opening weekend with ₹24.75 crore (earning ₹7.25 crore on Day 1, ₹8.25 crore on Day 2, and ₹9.25 crore on Day 3). However, the film failed to maintain momentum at the box office on its first Monday, earning just ₹1.88 crore. The total collection of the movie now stands at ₹26.63 crore. While the film continues to race ahead of Dhadak 2, it has clearly faced tough competition from Saiyaara. Ajay's film earned slightly more than what Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara collected on Monday, which marked its 18th day at the box office. Saiyaara earned ₹1.82 crore, according to the trade tracking site, taking its total box office collection to ₹301.29 crore. Mrunal Thakur, the film's female lead, was seen encouraging viewers to watch the movie in theatres and decide its fate for themselves. When a fan tweeted about the film's mixed reviews on social media, saying, 'The way the reviews are on Instagram and YouTube, I don't even feel like watching it anymore,' Mrunal responded, 'Most of the reviews are misleading… I would appreciate if you decide how YOU LIKE IT SIR!' About Son of Sardaar 2 The sequel to the 2012 hit Son of Sardaar follows the story of Ajay's character, Jassi, who is called to London by his wife (played by Neeru Bajwa), only to be blindsided by her demand for a divorce. Stranded and heartbroken, he crosses paths with Rabia (Mrunal Thakur), a spirited member of an all-girl wedding dhol band. Rabia's younger sister, Saba (Roshni Walia), is in love with the son of the stern and traditional Raja (Ravi Kishan), who insists on meeting her parents before giving his approval. The problem? Saba's parents are no more. To keep the romance alive, Jassi agrees to pose as her father, an ex-army colonel, while Rabia plays the mother. What follows is a hilarious and chaotic ride of twists, emotional beats, and drama. The film received mixed reviews from critics. However, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, and Deepak Dobriyal's performances and comic timing were widely appreciated by both critics and audiences.
