New York [US], June 16 (ANI): Actress Heather Burns expressed her interest in working with her dear friend Sandra Bullock on the third sequel of the hit film 'Miss Congeniality' if given a chance, reported People.
In an interview with People during the premiere of her latest film, 'The Best You Can,' at the 2025 Tribeca Festival, Burns said that she would love to work on the third part of the 'Miss Congeniality' franchise, and called it "one of the best experiences" of her life.
"I would love it. That was one of the best experiences of my life. It was so much fun making both of those films. I'm actually here with one of the other actresses. Melissa De Sousa, she played Miss New York, she's my date tonight, which is wonderful," said Burns as quoted by People Magazine.
Even though it has been almost two decades since the release of the first instalment, certain cast members are still in touch and are good friends.
"I made lifelong friends with Sandra Bullock. It's just a dream. So yes, a third [movie], I would jump at it," said Heather Burns as quoted by People. After working on 'Miss Congeniality' in 1999, Bullock and Burns worked together on 'Two Weeks Later,' a romantic comedy.
Meanwhile, Burns' latest film, 'The Best You Can,' which stars Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Brittany O'Grady and Judd Hirsch follows two halves of an unlikely friendship between a security guard and a urologist whose chance encounter blooms into something deeper, as reported by Variety.
Burns also opened up about her new movie and why she chose to work in it.
"I loved the script, first and foremost. I love these kinds of films. I guess I would call it a dramedy. It was beautiful. I was moved by it," said Burns as quoted by People.
The actress added that the all-star cast -- which also includes Judd Hirsch and Brittany O'Grady -- was also a major appeal.

Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin celebrated Father's Day in a very special way. As per 'People', the video began with Ilaria saying, "Happy birthday, daddy", even though his birthday is April 3, as Alec picked up a gift to open. The actor then opened up a box of silverware and joked about having his own silverware set with a smile on his face. As the clip continued, Hilaria walked over with a lit candle for Alec as they jokingly sang "Happy Birthday". Alec let his daughters blow out the candle and playfully mimicked their technique. "Say, happy Father's Day", Hilaria said to their kids from behind the camera. Ilaria, who was sitting on his lap, echoed the sentiment, which caused him to visibly grow emotional and hug her to his chest. In response, their sons celebrated as Maria began singing "Happy Birthday". "Thank you, mother, for my silverware", Alec told Hilaria in the video.

Keerthy Suresh's Telugu film 'Uppu Kappurambu' to be out this July

ANI 16 Jun 2025, 18:51 GMT+10 New Delhi [India], June 16 (ANI): Get ready to see actor Keerthy Suresh in an interesting role in the Telugu film titled 'Uppu Kappurambu'. Directed by Ani. I.V. Sasi and written by Vasanth Maringanti, the film is set in the 1990s. It follows the residents of Chitti Jayapuram, a fictional village in South India's hinterland grappling with an escalating pressure on its burial infrastructure. Suhas, Babu Mohan, Shatru, and Talluri Rameshwari are also a part of 'Uppu Kappurambu'. Sharing his experience directing the film, Ani I.V. Sasi in a press note said, ' 'Uppu Kappurambu' draws from a world I've long wanted to bring to screen. Set against the quirky and chaotic backdrop of rural life in the '90s, it uses satire and humour to explore how ordinary people navigate extraordinary situations with limited means but an unbreakable spirit. We wanted it to be something that deals with very serious issues in society but in a very silly and cartoonish way. This film is a sincere attempt to blend comedy with meaningful commentary, brought to life by an incredible cast and crew.' The film will be out on Prime Video on July 4. (ANI)

Gerard Butler's Viking Avatar On How To Train Your Dragon Set Made Cast ‘Nervous'

Last Updated: The cast and crew of How To Train Your Dragon started calling Gerard Butler chief because of how real and commanding he looked. Gerard Butler is a big name in Hollywood. This was seen on the set of the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, according to Mason Thames, the young actor playing Hiccup. He shared how Gerard, who returns as Stoick the Vast, made everyone feel a bit nervous. When Gerard walked on set in full costume, 'everybody would kind of cower a little bit, including myself." The cast and crew even started calling him 'chief" because of how real and commanding he looked. Speaking with People, Thames said, 'When he would walk on set, you would feel that presence. It's insane to see it in person, and him bringing that character to life with the voice, the energy, the giant brute force that Stoick is, him bringing that to life was so incredible to watch. I feel like he would walk on set and everybody would kind of cower a little bit, including myself." While Gerard Butler looked like a strong Viking warrior on the set of How to Train Your Dragon, with his heavy armour and thick beard, behind the scenes, the actor was dealing with a lot of discomfort. While appearing on radio station Kiss, the actor explained, 'They gave me a costume that weighed 92 pounds. Best costume I've ever worn. It's stunning, but my back was breaking by the end of three hours. This movie's huge and I thought the whole movie is going to fall apart because Gerry Butler can't wear that costume. Like, what a way to go down." As per the official synopsis, How to Train Your Dragon tells the story of Hiccup, a young boy who doesn't look at dragons as dangerous. He's the son of the village chief, Stoick the Vast, but is often ignored and not taken seriously. Everything changes when he meets a dragon named Toothless. Instead of fighting him, Hiccup chooses friendship, which shocks everyone around him. As their bond becomes strong, a new danger threatens both dragons and Vikings. Hiccup and Toothless must work together to save both and show that peace is possible. The live action film, directed by Dean DeBlois, also features Nico Parker, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz and Murray McArthur. The movie released on June 13. First Published:
