New adventures, bold stories, and fan-favorite characters are set to dominate screens this year
The streaming giant is bringing a powerful mix of fresh stories and returning favorites, with genres ranging from supernatural action to sci-fi drama.
First up is Devil May Cry, an anime adaptation of the popular video game series. Fans have been waiting a long time for this, and Netflix is finally delivering. The story follows Dante, a half-demon demon hunter with a love for pizza and sarcasm, as he takes on supernatural threats.
With high-octane action and stylish animation, this one's already creating serious buzz.
Then we have Sakamoto Days, a series that mixes action and humor and is becoming popular fast. It's centered on a famous hitman called Sakamoto, who decides to quit his violent job to take over a convenience store. Yet, peace doesn't continue for long and before long his old foes are at his door. Back in January, we saw Part 1 of the anime and now we're expecting Part 2 to arrive in July.
The combination of humor and sharply designed fights makes this one special.
Moonrise, an original science fiction drama, is said to look amazing and pack some emotional punch. The series tells the stories of two people fighting each other even as Earth and the Moon are close to war. The game's eye-catching characters and soundtrack by leading artists might make Moonrise one of the top surprises this year.
Dan Da Dan will be back with its second season.

From stylish demon hunters to retired assassins and futuristic warfare, 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for anime lovers on Netflix. So whether you're into intense battles or just want something new and quirky, there's plenty to binge on.

Bad Bunny shares why filming with shirtless Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2 was too much fun: To make Taylor Swift jealous?
Bad Bunny and Travis Kelce's unexpected Happy Gilmore 2 scene might be the craziest thing you see all year (Getty Images) Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and NFL sensation Travis Kelce are bringing unexpected chemistry and comedic chaos to Happy Gilmore 2. The much-awaited sequel to the 1996 classic will see Adam Sandler reprise his role as the fiery golfer Happy Gilmore, now retired but forced back into action to support his daughter's ballet school tuition. The film premieres on Netflix this Friday. Bad Bunny and Travis Kelce steal the show in Adam Sandler's much anticipated Happy Gilmore 2 Directed by Kyle Newacheck and co-written by Tim Herlihy and Sandler himself, the sequel picks up 30 years after Happy's iconic win. With Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, Dennis Dugan, and Benny Safdie returning or joining the cast, the film already had fans excited. But the addition of Bad Bunny and Travis Kelce? That's the comedic cherry on top. Kelce, who has steadily built a dynamic off-field career — from his 2016 reality series Catching Kelce to his viral 'New Heights' podcast with brother Jason Kelce — brings his charm to the big screen in a scene that's both bizarre and brilliant. A sneak peek involving Kelce shirtless, Bad Bunny, and a jar of honey has gone viral, teasing audiences with what might be one of the film's most hilarious moments. Bad Bunny confirmed the chaos while speaking with Extra on the red carpet: 'A lot. It was a very funny and crazy scene.' Dressed in a bold plaid blazer and ballet flats, the reggaeton icon looked every bit the unconventional star he is. Comedy debut for Bad Bunny and another win for Travis Kelce Though known for his genre-defying music and past acting ventures, this marks Bad Bunny's first leap into comedy. Reflecting on the experience, he said, 'I'm proud about what I did and I'm very grateful for the director, with Adam [Sandler] and the team, and that they let me be myself… It was a very great experience to make comedy for the first time. I'm happy and grateful!' When asked whether Taylor Swift might feel a twinge of jealousy seeing Kelce doused in honey, Bad Bunny cheekily replied, 'I was just putting him ready for her. She can be the bear.' With humor, heart, and honey, Happy Gilmore 2 promises a nostalgic ride made fresher with today's biggest stars. FAQs: 1. What role does Travis Kelce play in Happy Gilmore 2?
