Man picks 'dirt from under his partner's toenails' during easyJet flight
A holidaymaker saw a fellow passenger 'pick dirt from under his partner's toenails' during an EasyJet flight.
Erin Butcher, 27, had been enjoying a seven-day family holiday in Tenerife, Spain, when her return journey home took a nasty twist.
When looking around in the packed plane, she saw a woman's bare feet splayed out on a tray table.
The fashion merchandiser from Southwark, London, said she felt 'disgusted' when noticing a man then appeared to be giving her a makeshift pedicure.
Footage shows how he used his bare hands to flick bits of dirt off her manicured toenails.
The couple continued the bizarre grooming activity for around 20 minutes, Erin claimed, and were unfazed by other passengers' confused reactions.
The holidaymaker said the toenail incident was a 'depressing' way to end her week-long holiday.
She said: 'I felt so disgusted and I couldn't believe it.
'The partner was sprawled across the seats with her feet on the tray table, which was shocking enough.
'Her partner then started picking at her toenails and flicking little bits [of dirt] everywhere. It was disgusting.
'I was absolutely horrified. I was with my family and none of us could actually believe what was happening.'
Erin described the activity as 'questionable' but felt relieved she was not sat next to them on the over the four-hour trip home.
She continued: 'Even to do that in the privacy of your own home is questionable but to put them on a tray table where people are eating off all day.
'I was relieved I wasn't sitting next to them. I had the perfect view from my aisle seat which is horrifying. I couldn't really take my eyes off even though I wanted to.'
She labelled the couple's toenail session as 'unhygenic' and said most passengers laughed at the pair, while others seemed horrified.
Erin said: 'As if things aren't depressing enough when your week in the sun has just ended and you're faced with toe picking the whole way home.'
When the Londoner shared the video on TikTok, many users expressed their disgust in the comments. More Trending
One user simply wrote, 'totally gross', while another said, 'save it for later'.
Another commenter suggested toenail picking should not be tolerated in any situation, adding: 'That's disgusting anywhere'.
A different user simply asked the question: 'Why on earth?'

I ditched the UK for Australia & I'd never return – I work less hours for more money & see dolphins on my morning walk
A MAN has revealed that he will likely never return to the UK, after upping sticks and moving to Australia. In February, Lewy and his partner made the bold decision to relocate to Adelaide, after becoming sick of the " miserable weather and negative people". 2 2 The couple describe themselves as "normal people" without much money, said they were able to move to a "stunning" neighbourhood, that "wasn't expensive". Lewy said that it had been their dream for 10 years to live in Aus, and added that his and his partner's life has greatly improved since ditching the British Isles. "It's highly likely that we will never live in the UK again because it cannot offer us the life we've got now", he said in a video posted to his TiKTok channel @lewyp23. Lewy revealed that he is no longer "overworked" and "stressed" and is paid more for his job in Australia than he was in the UK. He added that the cost of living in Adelaide is much cheaper than it was for him back home, and that the people seem so much happier and fulfilled. The TikToker claims that he would have to earn a whopping £150,000 a year to have the same quality of life in the UK as he does in Adelaide on his "average" wage, and added that he wouldn't even move back to the UK if someone gave him £50,000. Lewy now lives just three minutes walks from the beach, and as soon as they finish work, he and his partner take their dog out for sunny seaside walks. He has even spotted pods of dolphins during his beach walks, which he said always leave him in "disbelief". Even in winter, the weather in Adelaide is warm and sunny, meaning that Lewy and his partner can have year round fun, without spending a penny. "You don't realise how much the weather affects you until you move to a nice place", he said. I fled the UK for sunny Dubai - life back home is miserable & no-one has any cash "We're happier, it's just fantastic." Another thing that Lewy loves about his life in Adelaide is the lack of crime. "It's safer her in Australia, you see a lot less nastiness." He added that he and his partner now do lots more on the weekends, and are able to be so much more social, as they are no longer stressed. How easy is it to move abroad? Brexit means British citizens now have to apply for visas to move to countries within the EU. While some countries residency restrictions are easier than others, here's what you need to do at home before moving: Notify HMRC about your upcoming move. Let your local authority know and provide a forwarding address. Contact your mortgage and utility providers and bank before leaving. If you have paid enough UK national insurance contributions, you can qualify for a state pension abroad - contact the International Pension Centre. You can sign up to the Royal Mail's redirection service. If you have outstanding student loans, contact the Student Loans Centre. If you have children, give due notice to childcares and schools. He described the supermarkets, which are packed full of fresh fruit and veg as being "incredible" and said that older people look much more youthful and full of life. Lewy is urging others to follow in his footsteps and ditch the "miserable" UK. He said that anyone under 35 can easily get a working holiday visa, and added that the country is especially looking for tradesmen. He said: "Why are you waiting to get out of that horrible place when you've got this waiting for you? "The people are really lovely and you've got a life waiting for you with way less stress." "You get one go at life, you have to take risks"

Truth revealed about why farmers sprayed manure on 'illegal campers'
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video This is certainly one way of getting rid of trespassers on your land. French farmers decided to evict some travellers on a farm by sending them a smelly message and spraying them with loads of manure. Last month, photographer Loic Madre caught the cheeky attack when tractors drove around in circles on the farm in Hautes-Vosges spraying it all around. The stinking dung was a fresh bid from the tractors to make the area uninhabitable for the squatters. The travellers can be seen sprinting after the tractors, with one even seen holding on to the side of one and shaking his fist. Loic said that the travellers were on the farm without permission and said the harvest will take place in the next few weeks. This is why they were so keen to get them off the land, because the grass the travellers were on is set to be used as animal feed. Loic told Daily Mail: 'It was difficult to negotiate with the travellers; they refused to listen. The farmers received no support from the local authorities or the police. 'So they handled it on their own! As you can see in the images.' Local media also reports that farmers in the area have not received support from police about the travellers. After a few days the efforts of the farmers proved to work because the travellers were forced to leave, according to Loic. Hydrogen sulfide is a gas that is produced during the decomposition of manure. Health effects depend on the concentration (ppm) inhaled: 2 – 20 ppm: Nausea, headache, dizziness 50 – 100 ppm: Altered breathing 100-300 ppm: Pulmonary edema 500-700 ppm: Collapse in 5 min, death 30-60 min 1000 ppm: Nearly instant death 'The meadow was badly damaged, but they left, he added. More Trending The video was posted on X and has since gone viral with more than 11,000 retweets. One user called Brugade Jean Michel pointed out: 'The sprayed liquid is pig manure. The smell is so strong and long-lasting that the air is unbreathable for several days.' Another person named AngloGenXer said: 'Feel good video of the day, that.' Terri Lipanovic also liked the video and added: 'This is so good!' Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page. Ryanair sets monthly passenger record despite air traffic control strikes
Airline Ryanair said it carried a record high number of passenger last month despite French air traffic control (ATC) strikes. The Dublin-based carrier announced 20.7 million passengers travelled on its flights in July. That is up 3% from 20.2 million during the same month last year. Its load factor – which represents the average proportion of seat filled on its aircraft – was stable at 96%. Ryanair said it operated more than 113,000 flights in July and cancelled 680, mainly because of French controller strikes. French ATC staff took industrial action on July 3 and 4 in a dispute over working conditions. As well as disrupting flights to and from French airports, the walkouts affected flights scheduled to travel over French airspace. This meant many services to or from UK airports were delayed or cancelled. EasyJet chief executive Kenton Jarvis previously described the French strikes as 'very, very disruptive' as they forced the airline to cancel 660 flights and cost it £15 million. Around 70% of easyJet's flights either fly to or from a French airport, or over the country's airspace. European air traffic management body Eurocontrol estimated the strikes affected more than one million passengers. Meanwhile, a radar fault suffered by UK ATC provider Nats led to more than 100 UK flights being cancelled on July 30.
