Kevin De Bruyne all but confirms Man City star wants to quit club under Pep Guardiola

Kevin De Bruyne has hinted that one of his former Manchester City team-mates is unsettled at the Etihad this summer, and that they have shared an interest in following him to Napoli
Kevin De Bruyne has dropped a cheeky hint that Jack Grealish might be joining him at Napoli this summer. It comes after his own exit from Manchester City after a trophy-laden decade.

De Bruyne is set to embark on a fresh challenge in Italy, having penned a two-year contract with the Serie A titans. Although he's leaving behind a glittering array of honours won alongside his City comrades, there's a chance he could coax another of the club's stars to join him on Italian soil.

The Belgian maestro teased the possibility of Grealish, who has found himself on the fringes at City, making a switch to Napoli during an interview with Corriere dello Sport. When asked about if the Englishman had spoken to him about his move to Naples, he replied: "Maybe," with a grin.

Grealish has fallen out of favour at City, with Pep Guardiola even making the decision to omit him from his Club World Cup squad this summer. While Everton have emerged as potential suitors for the 29-year-old, a number of other clubs have been linked with the winger, who arrived at the Etihad for £100million in 2021.
Dean Smith, meanwhile, has openly shared his desire for a reunion with the former Aston Villa ace, hoping to entice him across the pond to Charlotte FC in the MLS, reports the Manchester Evening News. Yet, despite Smith's eagerness to snatch Grealish away from Man City, he conceded that the player still has "unfinished business" in Europe, and Napoli could be the answer to that.
Grealish has racked up over 157 appearances for Man City, netting 17 goals and providing 23 assists. His trophy cabinet boasts three Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup and a Champions League trophy.
He also clinched the runner-up spot at the 2020 European Championships with England and is eager to make his mark this season to secure a place in Thomas Tuchel's squad for the 2026 World Cup. As speculation around Grealish continues to mount, a reunion with De Bruyne could potentially be on the horizon.
That's if Grealish doesn't join Everton this summer on either a permanent or loan deal, however, with the Toffees opening talks with City with regards to the star's services. The Sky Blues are open to letting Grealish leave the north west this summer should the right deal be agreed.
Considering David Moyes is looking for a squad overhaul this summer, a season-long loan may be his best option at securing Grealish for the fresh campaign. However, his hefty wages could be a hurdle, and Everton may need City to pay a portion of them for a deal to work.

Arsenal 'waiting' on Real Madrid transfer decision with Rodrygo

Arsenal remain in the running to sign Rodrygo but are waiting to see if Real Madrid will approve a loan deal, according to reports. The 24-year-old's future at Madrid has looked uncertain since the arrival of Xabi Alonso at the end of May. Rodrygo started just one of Madrid's six matches at the Club World Cup this summer and played a combined total of 92 minutes across the tournament. Rodrygo is said to be intent on staying at Madrid for the upcoming season and wants to work his way into Alonso's plans. However, The Times report that Arsenal are still keeping tabs on Rodrygo's situation and will consider a move if a potential loan deal is offered by Madrid. The report adds that Arsenal are still planning to make an approach to Crystal Palace over a deal for Eberechi Eze, whose £68 million release clause expires on August 15. More Trending Meanwhile, Spanish radio station Cadena SER reported this week that Tottenham are also in the running to sign Rodrygo and are considering a €60m (£52m) offer for the Brazil international. Madrid are said to be open to offers for Rodrygo but are not actively looking to sell the winger before the end of the summer transfer window. Last season, reports also suggested that Rodrygo was unhappy with his position in Madrid's attack as he prefers to play on the left rather than the regular right-sided role he was given by Carlo Ancelotti. Rodrygo endured a difficult end to last season under Ancelotti and then with Alonso at the Club World Cup, scoring just once and registering two assists in 25 appearances since the start of February. 'They wouldn't let me into Anfield... but they did at Goodison'

This week, we are asking you to share your stories and photos about why you fell in love with is a selection of your submissions: Michael: I went to Liverpool with my family once when I was about five or six years old. We went to see both stadiums. Liverpool had their side gates open - I could see the pitch glowing green and it looked magical. I asked a groundsman if I could have a quick look in. They answered no, unfortunately. My dreams were walked over Stanley Park to Goodison. They also had their gates open. It looked amazing, the green grass, blue seats and iconic white pillars. Someone by the gate in a yellow hi-vis was on site. I asked once again if I could go in, expecting a no but God loves a trier. He replied with: "Of course, mate, just don't go on the grass!" I remember looking back at my mum as I was walking around and saying: "I want to support Everton, mum! These are nice!"Some 31 years later and we won't play again at the ground - but the memories will always live on. Send us your pictures and stories here

Andy Reid fuels Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding speculation after star's loved-up offseason with the singer

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid can hear wedding bells. The 67-year-old has made no secret of the fact that he is a fan of his tight end Travis Kelce 's love story with pop sensation Taylor Swift. And the veteran coach opened up on the A-List relationship once again this week, even hinting at what a potential wedding between the famous couple could look like. As Reid, who topped DailyMail+'s NFL head coach Power List this week, once again brushed off claims that the high-profile romance was a distraction to the team, he was asked what story he would tell at the couple's hypothetical nuptials. 'Well there are a few I can't tell,' Reid told Kansas City sports radio's 96.5 The Fan with Fescoe and Dusty. 'No, there are a lot of great stories,' continued Reid. 'He's done so many good things, all the things he's done off the field that people don't know about, just helping people out. He's got a big heart that way.' Coach Reid talks about his favorite Taylor album, her impact on the game and what Travis story he'd tell at their wedding. — 🏈👑 | fan acct. (@TayvisHaze) August 7, 2025 The coach, who revealed his favorite album of Swift's was fittingly 'Red,' also praised the two superstars for their handling of life in the spotlight over the past couple of years. 'The thing I appreciate most is how she handles it, how Trav handles it,' Reid gushed. 'They just do it the right way. And they're not a distraction by any means. People always ask are they a distraction? Absolutely not. There's no distraction because of how they handle it.' It comes as Kelce, 35, went 'Instagram official' with Swift, also 35, with an array of pictures of the high-profile couple that hadn't been seen before last month. They included pictures of Kelce spending time with Swift's brother, Austin, while Swifties also spotted that Kelce's phone background is a picture of him and the singer. Kelce nearly retired after the Chiefs were destroyed by the Philadelphia Eagles in February's Super Bowl in New Orleans. But after deciding to play on, the three-time Super Bowl winner regrouped and spend summer getting into the best shape of his life, working with a personal trainer in Boca Raton, Florida. And after reporting back to Chiefs camp at St. Joe's for the upcoming 2025 season last month, coach Reid couldn't have been happier with the condition of his star tight end. 'He's svelte right now,' Reid beamed. 'He looks like he's 20. He's doing a good job. He's in great shape. 'I'm not sure he didn't come in first during the whole conditioning thing, he was right up front. You can see he's been working out. 'You saw him yesterday on the long run where he had the burst. He's done a nice job. He's worked hard to get to this spot.' Speaking in June, Kelce dismissed rumors that he had shedded 25 pounds but admitted he had been training hard in the offseason. He said: 'Each year is different man, you gotta rebuild it. This year, I got some time to really focus on some things in the offseason that I just didn't have time for last year. I'm certainly feeling good and I think it will pay off, man.'
