From various artistes crying to a reunion of local celebs, the night was riddled with these exciting and touching highlights.
Reunion of All-Time Favourite Artiste recipients
Past winners of the All-Time Favourite Artiste award from 2004 to 2024 gathered together on stage to commemorate the 30th year since Star Awards began.
They included beloved veterans such as Li Nanxing, Zoe Tay, Chen Liping, Xiang Yun, Dasmond Koh, Christopher Lee, Fann Wong and Tay Ping Hui.
This year, actress Yvonne Lim, 48, and host Pornsak, 43, received the All-Time Favourite Artiste awards.

Tears aflow
Several artistes wept tears of joy last night, including Yvonne, who walked the red carpet with her husband and two young children.
During an interview with the family on the Backstage Live show, her children expressed their love for her and she quietly shedded tears.
After receiving the All-Time Favourite Artiste award, Yvonne again wept while thanking her family on stage.
"To receive so much support in the midst of such ordinary days, I feel truly grateful and blessed," she said.
Cynthia Koh also teared up after winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in Hope Afloat, her first time winning in the category after being nominated five times prior.
"I have been running for a long time and I'm exhausted," the 51-year-old said. "But I told myself I can't give up."
Radio DJ Gao Meigui, one of the hosts of the Star Award's Backstage Live show, also cried after receiving the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award.
City Beat hosts present awards
The hosts of beloved 1990s variety show City Beat — Sharon Au, Bryan Wong and Kym Ng — graced the stage to present the Best Entertainment Programme Award and the Best Infotainment Programme Award to Dishing With Chris Lee S2 and Legends of Singapore Comedy respectively.
"The last time we stood together on stage was around 20 years ago," Bryan, 54, recalled.
Sharon, 49, joked about how she hadn't aged at all. "It's quite amazing how you can't see the passage of time on my face at all. Camera, close up please!"
Kym, 58, shot back: "That's because you already looked old 20 years ago!"
Sharon had shared on her Instagram that she returned to Singapore from Paris just to attend Star Awards.
Star Awards 1994 reunion
After being invited on stage to present the awards for the Top 10 Most Popular Male and Female Artistes, Yun Fat shared that he was very "excited" because he met a few local celebs who were present in the inaugural ceremony 30 years ago.
"I didn't have the chance to take a photo with the artistes then," the 70-year-old said, which then prompted him to invite them up on stage to take a selfie.
Yun Fat exclaimed: "We're still the same, we've not changed. Thirty years ago, we were like this and 30 years later, we are still the same!"
Chow Yun Fat and Chen Biyu's funny moment
When Yun Fat presented Love 972 radio DJ Chen Biyu with her Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award, host Guo Liang joked that her favourite actor is Hong Kong star Andy Lau.
Yun Fat dramatically and playfully rolled his eyes, turned to Biyu to grab her award back and walk away. The audience and the others on stage laughed after hearing the banter between the three. And yes, he soon returned the award to Biyu.

Li Nanxing on reuniting with Chow Yun Fat at Star Awards: ‘I consider him more a friend than an idol'
SINGAPORE – For Singaporean actor Li Nanxing, attending Star Awards 2025 on July 6 after a 10-year absence was a chance to catch up with old friends and colleagues. But the most memorable reunion came in the form of the 30th anniversary edition's special guest, Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat, who was on hand to present awards – just like how he did at the inaugural ceremony in 1994. Back then, Chow famously remarked that Li resembled him, adding: 'Please don't come to Hong Kong, or else I will not be able to make movies any more.' At Star Awards 2025, Chow, 70, called out 60-year-old Li's name twice while onstage, when he rallied the local actors in the audience from the 1994 batch to go onstage for a wefie. Li was also the first artiste to receive a hug from Chow. Li said it was the pair's first reunion since 1994, but they did not get to chat offstage as Chow was 'very busy'. On Nov 29, he will hold a 40th anniversary event in Shanghai, China, with an estimated 800 fan s, including those from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. He also plans to join a Huangpu River Cruise to admire the nighttime scenery together with attendees of an eight-day Jiangnan Gourmet Autumn Tour, departing from Singapore on Nov 23 and organised by local tour agency SA Tours. During the event, he might shake fans' hands, sign autographs and even belt out a number or two. 'It all depends on what requests they have. Maybe it is to sing some theme songs or act out certain roles? I just want to thank my fans for their support all these years. 'Did you know many fans in China like Mediacorp dramas?' he shared, namedropping his period drama The Great Conspiracy (1993), which was partly filmed in the Chinese province of Shanxi and in which he played Shen Chong, a killer skilled in martial arts. Outside of the entertainment industry, Li remains passionate about his other businesses. He established artiste management company LNX Global in 2003, which manages actresses Constance Song and Vivian Lai, actor Shane Pow, UFM100.3 DJ Luo Kemin and actress-influencer Julie Tan. In 2021, he opened dessert shop Tian Wang, now located in Keong Saik Road, where he has been spotted playing cashier and waiter. In addition, he has collaborated with other F&B businesses over the years, such as Chinese hotpot chain Chamoon Hot Pot on a bak kut teh broth in 2024, and casual restaurant chain Yun Nans on a number of spring menu dishes in 2021. He said: 'I love cooking. And food is something I feel very strongly for, especially Nanyang cuisine, which has a distinctive Singaporean flavour. SINGAPORE – Local actor Andie Chen may have missed out again on the Best Actor accolade at the Star Awards on July 6, but veteran actors Hong Huifang and Chen Hanwei believe what he lacked was a bit of luck. Andie Chen, 40, was nominated for his role as a strict father in family drama Born To Shine (2024). He lost to Christopher Lee, 53, who played a father whose daughter was killed in crime mystery drama Kill Sera Sera (2024). The Best Actor nomination was Chen's fourth at the Star Awards. He has been nominated six times for Best Supporting Actor. On July 12, Hong, 64, shared on social media photos of her meet-up with Chen and other artistes, such as his wife Kate Pang; Felicia Chin and her husband Jeffrey Xu; and Aileen Tan. 'You were the winner of Star Search 2007, and along the way, we have seen you working hard consistently,' Hong wrote, addressing Chen. 'Although you have missed out on the awards many times, it is not because you are not good enough, but sometimes you just lack a little bit of luck.' Andie Chen admitted in a social media post on July 7 that he felt a twinge of loss and loneliness after missing out on the award . 'But I didn't lose heart,' he wrote. 'Because over the years, I have my family, team, friends, and you who have always supported me. Every time you speak up for me, it is my motivation to keep working hard. Thank you.' He added: 'Putting aside my own little drama, I'm actually happy for my friends when I see them winning awards. Who isn't working hard for their dreams?'

'Wow, who is this girl?' Pierre Png and Cynthia Koh recall first time they met at water park as teens, Entertainment News
Local actors Pierre Png and Cynthia Koh are no strangers to one another in the entertainment industry, with their first on-screen collaboration dating all the way back to Holland V in 2003 as siblings Mo Yangyang and Mo Yanyan respectively. Since then, they have played spouses and even ex-spouses, but "seem to have skipped the girlfriend-boyfriend stage," joked Pierre, who turns 52 this October. Now, the two have taken up the role of husband and wife yet again in the upcoming thriller series Decalcomania, which is a collaboration between Singapore and Thailand. Pierre plays Mark, a policeman who is a doting husband and emotional "punching bag" to his domineering wife Sue (Cynthia). The latter runs a restaurant with her bitter mother Granny Lu (Hong Huifang), who suspects Mark is in an affair with socialite Leia (Mookda Narinrak). [[nid:720074]] In a recent interview with AsiaOne on the set of Decalcomania, they revealed that their history dates even further back to their pre-showbiz days. Their first meeting was in a water theme park when the duo was in their mid-teens, one year apart in age. Pierre recounted the series of events: "My version of the story? I met her when I had a friend who was interested in her in secondary school. They went out, and I tagged along kind of as a plus-one. Funnily enough, my first memory of Cynthia was that we were all at some water theme park. "So she was there, my friend was there, and I was like, 'Wow, who is this girl?' And many years later, I'm working opposite her." AsiaOne asked if they still bring up the moment, to which he said: "Oh, all the time. She teases me and I choose to remember a few things, while I want to forget a few things as well." Cynthia, 51, recounted her perspective: "I was from a convent school, and Pierre and his good friend Daniel would always come by our school. Back then, we would always hang out with the boys who hung around our school, or rather, camped out there. "So me and my good friend Elizabeth — who ended up dating Daniel for a short while eventually — went out together with him and Pierre to the water park and that's how I knew Pierre. I can't remember which water park it was or the white swimwear he keeps teasing me about, but it's been so many years. I was only 15 or 16 back then." Pierre reportedly went to Holy Innocents' High School while Cynthia was in Saint Anthony's Canossian Secondary School. "And then after that, obviously I was not interested in him so I didn't get his number," she joked. "And the next time I saw him, he was at the Fame Awards and I was in Mediacorp too." The Fame Awards was a Channel 5 talent competition which Pierre won in 1998. Cynthia joined showbiz in 1992. So when it comes to working on set, what's their dynamic like now? Cynthia, who recently won Best Supporting Actress at Star Awards 2025, told us there are perks to their bond. "I'm quite glad I'm doing this together with Pierre, because we don't have a lot of time on set to build chemistry this time round. And to work with someone that I've built chemistry with over the years in projects like Zero Calling (2014) and I Do, Do I? (2023), the chemistry is already there — I understand him. "And although sometimes he can be a bit troublesome, being a guy with many, many questions, he just likes to clarify things. And that's something I've kind of come to work with and accept over time in our work relationship." Pierre added: "It's really great working with Cynthia — we have a very comfortable relationship. I trust her, and she's also a very giving actress. And I've said this many times before, but I think acting has a lot to do with trust. When you come to the set, there's trust with the director, your co-stars and the crew." He elaborated: "Because the actors are giving their all and putting their emotions into a scene, so you trust that the actor acting opposite you will reciprocate your efforts. You need a safe space to create and to play." In Decalcomania, two women with identical faces (both played by Thai actress Mookda Narinrak) — Neungdeaw, a hardened owner of a nightclub in Bangkok and Leia, a sheltered Singaporean socialite — suddenly have their souls swapped after a car crash. Neungdeaw must now learn to survive a world of high-society manipulation, while Leia must navigate a criminal underworld unknown to her. The series is set to debut on Thailand's TV channels One31 and OneD application streaming worldwide in December 2025, with its Singapore broadcast on Mewatch to follow.
