Naidu alone can eradicate poverty: Vemireddy
He participated in a programme at SR Sankaran Hall at the Collectorate here on Monday, where CM Naidu virtually inaugurated Swarnandhra vision offices in all 175 constituencies. Later speaking to reporters, Vemireddy said that as part of the initiative in eradicating poverty, Naidu has introduced P-4 concept. He detailed that to implement Swarnandhra 2047 Vision effectively, which has framed with 10 principles, the government proposed to establish one office with nine members to coordinate with MLAs in their respective constituencies.
Analysing that at present aqua culture is most profitable in Nellore district, the MP opined that if P-4 concept is linked with aqua culture, there will be a possibility of securing excellent results.

Naidu urges agencies to complete Amaravati projects six months ahead of deadline
Vijayawada: Without waiting until the deadline, contract agencies should focus on completing works in the capital, Amaravati, as expeditiously as possible without compromising on quality, said chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu . He held a review with officials of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC), and representatives of various agencies executing works in Amaravati on Tuesday. Every agency should execute works with proper planning, adhering to timelines. He said that the works should proceed in autopilot mode without any hindrances. He suggested finishing the work six months ahead of the deadline to complete the city's development. Naidu inquired about the present status of various works like LPS layouts, residences for ministers, MLAs, officials, employees, judges, roads, ducts, trunk infrastructure, and flood control work in the capital. CRDA officials informed the chief minister that tenders were called for works worth Rs 50,552 crore, and 74 projects have been launched so far. He warned that contract firms and concerned officials would be held accountable for any delay in execution. Addressing concerns raised by some farmers regarding the transfer of returnable plots, Naidu directed officials to ensure farmers do not face any difficulties in getting their plots. The minister for municipal administration and urban development (MAUD) informed the Chief Minister that issues pertaining to returnable plots would be resolved within a week. When representatives of contractors mentioned theft of sand stockpiles and rusting of iron material over the last five years, Naidu instructed mining department officials to replenish the sand. Besides focusing on infrastructure development, the chief minister directed officials to ensure approvals are given to firms establishing offices expeditiously. He said land should be allocated to institutions like XLRI and BITS Pilani immediately so that they can start operations in Amaravati. Officials should track the progress in the establishment of offices by all 72 organisations given land in the capital region. Stressing the need for significant economic activity in the capital, Naidu said investment flow will start once essential infrastructure is in place. Naidu pushes for early completion of Amaravati works
Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials and contractors to expedite the construction of Amaravati Greenfield Capital with an aim to complete the works six months ahead of the schedule. The state government had earlier set a three-year timeline for the completion of the capital construction works. During a review meeting of the capital construction works at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister reiterated his vision of making Amaravati the world's most livable city. The meeting, which included Municipal Administration and Urban Development P Narayana and officials from Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and EDC, focused on the progress of various projects, including infrastructure development in Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) layouts, residential units for ministers and officials, road networks, and flood-control measures. Officials reported that tenders for projects worth Rs 50,552 crore have so far been issued, and 74 projects are already underway. The CRDA proposed projects worth Rs 81,317 crore. The Chief Minister stressed that the progress should be visible to the public and announced that he would conduct monthly reviews. He warned that any delays would be the responsibility of both the contractors and the officials involved. Naidu also called for 'real-time monitoring of all projects, urging them to operate in 'autopilot mode'. Regarding plots for farmers, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that the process of returning plots does not cause inconvenience while upholding the integrity of the master plan. Narayana said the issue would be resolved within a week. Contractors at the meeting highlighted a significant challenge from the previous administration, alleging that construction materials like iron and sand stockpiles were pilfered. The Chief Minister has since directed the Mining Department to replenish the sand supplies. To accelerate development, Naidu ordered officials to fast-track approvals for institutions planning to build offices in Amaravati. He called for quick land allocation to prominent institutions such as BITS Pilani and XLRI. He also instructed continuous monitoring of the 72 organisations that have already been allocated land to ensure they begin their projects promptly. "Mere allocation of land does not complete the capital's development," Naidu said. "Investments and ventures need to follow." He called for investments in various sectors, including sports city, tourism, airport infrastructure, biotechnology, and healthcare. The Chief Minister also spoke about the trust placed in him by the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister stressed that a capital city would be incomplete without a thriving economy. He said that once construction is finished, it would attract investors, create jobs for the youth, and make Amaravati a truly livable city. He called for the creation of an ecosystem focused on a knowledge economy and startups. Naidu also directed officials to invite India's top 10 real estate companies to undertake projects and advocated for the promotion of electric vehicles to transform the capital into a green energy corridor. 'Stree Shakti' free bus travel for women ready for launch
Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday reviewed the preparations for the 'Stree Shakti' scheme, a flagship welfare programme offering free bus travel for all women across the state in select APSRTC buses. The scheme is set to launch on August 15. During the review meeting with officials at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed them to take proactive measures to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme without any issues. Naidu emphasized the importance of effective crowd management and increasing capacity to handle the expected high ridership. He also stressed the need for robust safety measures and called for staff to be courteous to passengers, ensuring no complaints are received. The Chief Minister also instructed the officials to regularly collect passenger feedback and use it to improve the scheme's implementation. He also suggested using an outsourcing agency to manage certain services. He highlighted the need for a robust system to address any problems immediately. He instructed officials to ensure e-POS machines are GPS-enabled to track buses and provide real-time information to passengers. He also mandated that bus stations be kept 'exceptionally clean', with trash removed regularly and toilets cleaned every two hours under constant official supervision. To enhance passenger comfort, Naidu ordered the installation of RO water plants at all bus stations. He also noted that the renovation and painting work on bus stations with Rs 30 crore should be completed by December of this year. New fans and chairs are to be installed where needed, and RTC staff must be available round the clock to assist passengers.
