How to watch Ohio State vs Boston University hockey on Thursday in NCAA Regionals
After a heartbreaking loss to Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament last weekend, the Ohio State men's hockey team will begin its quest for a NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship. The Buckeyes earned a No. 3 seed in the Toledo Regional and will face the Terriers of Boston University, the No. 2 seed in the same bracket.
Boston University is 21-13-2 on the season. The Buckeyes and Terriers didn't play many common opponents but did face a couple in Michigan and Notre Dame. Boston lost both matches to the Wolverines and beat the Irish in their lone game. For comparison's sake, OSU was 4-0 against Notre Dame and split 2-2 with Michigan. Ohio State should have a slight home-ice advantage as Toledo is just a short drive from Columbus.
As if the opening round wasn't hard enough, should the Buckeyes topple the Terriers, they most likely will get a rematch with the Big Ten Champion Michigan State Spartans. The Spartans earned the No. 1 seed in the Toledo Regional. But let's not get ahead of ourselves as the Bucks have a tough task ahead in the first round.
Here's how to watch Ohio State take on Boston University on Thursday afternoon, including time, TV schedule, and streaming information:

Odds courtesy of BetMGM as of Friday, Nov. 21
Prediction - Ohio State 4, Boston University 3: This will be no easy task for the Buckeyes. The Terriers are ranked No. 8 in the country and OSU is ranked No. 9. Boston has a slightly higher goals per game than Ohio State, but the Buckeyes allow fewer goals per game. The game could easily go either way, but we'll give the nod to the Buckeyes with the ever-so-slight home-ice advantage.
ODDS: Boston University -1.5
O/U: 6.5

No. 1 Texas, No. 2 Penn St each place 3 players on Associated Press preseason All-America first team

Texas and Penn State, the top two teams in The Associated Press preseason Top 25, each had three players selected for the preseason AP All-America team announced Monday. No. 1 Texas had one player from each level of its defense on the first team: edge rusher Colin Simmons, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. and safety Michael Taaffe. No. 2 Penn State's picks were running back Nicholas Singleton, offensive lineman Olaivavega Ioane and defensive lineman Zane Durant. No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Clemson, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 8 Alabama and Pittsburgh each had two players on the first team. The Southeastern Conference had 12 players on the 27-man first team determined by media members on the AP Top 25 voting panel. The Big Ten had seven players, the ACC four and the Big 12 two. Clemson's Cade Klubnik was the overwhelming preseason choice for first-team quarterback after throwing for 3,639 yards with 39 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Ohio State safety Caleb Downs and Florida center Jake Slaughter are returning first-team AP All-Americans. Downs, whose late interception against Texas helped wrap up a College Football Playoff semifinal win for defending champion Ohio State, starred as a freshman at Alabama two years ago and established himself as the nation's top safety in his first season with the Buckeyes. He's a projected top-three pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Downs was joined on the preseason-All-America first team by Buckeyes receiver Jeremiah Smith. Slaughter, a leading candidate for the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center, played 800 snaps in his breakout season for the Gators. He allowed just one sack and was among the highest-rated run and pass blockers in the country, according to Pro Football Focus. The AP All-America team for this season will be released in December. It will mark the 100th anniversary of the first team published in 1925. First team offense Quarterback — Cade Klubnik, fourth year, Clemson. The arrival of Oregon, USC, and UCLA not only added to the conference's depth, but it also turned the Big Ten into a coast-to-coast competition that feels awfully like a professional league. Oddsmakers project that the Big Ten will be top-heavy once again in 2025, with Ohio State, Penn State, and Oregon sitting as the three clear favorites, with Michigan lurking after a terrific close to their 2024 campaign. The odds don't look too different from how they sat entering the 2024 season, which ended with Oregon winning the Big Ten title over Penn State, just a few weeks before Ohio State won the National Championship. Will things look similar in 2025? Let's dive in. 2025 Big Ten odds Team Odds Ohio State +190 Penn State +240 Oregon +350 Michigan +700 USC 18/1 Indiana 35/1 Nebraska 35/1 Iowa 40/1 Illinois 40/1 Washington 50/1 Minnesota 125/1 Wisconsin 150/1 Michigan State 150/1 UCLA 150/1 Rutgers 250/1 Maryland 300/1 Northwestern 500/1 Purdue 500/1 Odds via BetMGM The Favorites Ohio State is the defending national champion, but the Buckeyes have had to deal with a lot of turnover this offseason. Not only did several key contributors move on, but Ohio State will also have a new coordinator on both sides of the ball. Julian Sayin will get the first say as the starting quarterback for Ryan Day, and while there will always be questions about a new starter, Sayin, a former blue-chip recruit from Alabama and has the best wide receiver in the country, Jeremiah Smith, on his side. Ohio State comes into the season as the No. 3 team in the AP Poll, but Bill Connelly has them at No. 1 in his SP+ rankings. 3 Penn State head coach James Franklin meets with the media. Lucas Peltier-Imagn Images The Buckeyes are the team to beat, but there are just too many heavyweights to back them at this price. The same goes for the other favorites. There are a lot of sharp bettors out there who are going to start the season with Penn State as the No. 1 or No. 2 team in their power rankings, but the Nittany Lions have yet to shake the bridesmaid reputation under James Franklin. You will need to win several big games to win the Big Ten, and Franklin doesn't do that with any regularity. Pass. Oregon has gone 25-3 in the past two years, but the Ducks rank 109th in returning production and will be breaking in another new quarterback. Talent is there, the coach looks like a star, but that's too many holes to fill when you're dealing out a +350 in this setup. The shine is back on Michigan, thanks to a strong finish to 2024 and the arrival of highly-touted freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, but beating out Ohio State, Penn State, and Oregon (as well as some of the other teams below them in the pecking order) is a tall ask of a freshman. Especially with so much turnover on offense. Dark horses USC is the fifth-favorite in the Big Ten, but the Trojans seem to have their eye on 2026 thanks to a program-changing recruiting class. Nonetheless, Lincoln Reilly has a veteran-laden roster with a high floor for this season, but the ceiling doesn't seem high enough when you look at some of the teams being offered at much bigger prices. In fact, while you're stretching to find reasons to back USC at their odds, I think you could make a pretty solid argument for any of the next five teams (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, and Washington) as good value bets to win the Big Ten. Picking between them may feel like splitting hairs, but I've landed on Nebraska (40/1) and Illinois (40/1) for similar reasons. 3 Dylan Raiola of Nebraska in action against Iowa. AP For the Huskers, this is Year 3 under Matt Rhule and Year 2 with Dylan Raiola under center. Raiola's freshman campaign featured plenty of bumps, but that's to be expected, especially since he was leading an inexperienced offense. Another season under the entire unit's belt should be a massive step forward. Just as important is Nebraska's schedule. The Huskers are 6.5-point favorites over Cincinnati in Week 1, and things don't get too choppy until they host Michigan in Week 4. If the Huskers come out on top in that game, they stand a pretty good chance of being 10-0 or 9-1 when they travel to Beaver Stadium on Nov. 22. Like Nebraska, Illinois drew a great schedule for 2025. The Illini open conference play with a tricky one against Indiana, but a win over the Hoosiers could set them up to crash the gates with Ohio State as the only true heavyweight on their schedule after that. Betting on College Football? And it's not just the schedule that boosts Illinois' chances this year, they are also legitimately building towards something under Brett Bielema. The Illini won 10 games for the first time in 23 years in 2024, and they lead the conference in returning production, highlighted by quarterback Luke Altmyer. Long shots There's bound to be a lot of cannon fodder in an 18-team conference, and the Big Ten certainly isn't short on pedestrian teams. Ignoring Purdue, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, we'll focus on the long shots that have some upside to cause a stir, likely by going over their win total or pulling the big upset in the Big Ten. Northwestern's schedule is a bear, but they should see some marked improvement on offense with Preston Stone (formerly of SMU) under center. A stingy defense with a high-ceiling quarterback could put Oregon, Penn State, and/or Michigan on upset alert. 3 Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano on the sidelines. Robert Sabo for NY Post UCLA will also pin its hopes on a blue-chip quarterback. Nico Iamaleava joins the Bruins from Tennessee and could win games on his own, but there's so much turnover on this roster that it's almost impossible to get a read on DeShaun Foster's bunch. And then there's Rutgers, which, so long as Greg Schiano is in charge, will defy preseason expectations and overachieve. The Scarlet Knights should be a real thorn in the side, especially on defense, for the big boys. Best Bets for the Big Ten Nebraska to win the Big Ten (40/1, bet365) Illinois to win the Big Ten (40/1, BetMGM) Why Trust New York Post Betting Michael Leboff is a long-suffering Islanders fan, but a long-profiting sports bettor with 10 years of experience in the gambling industry. Longtime Michigan Reporter Taunts Ohio State Fans About Ryan Day

Longtime Michigan Reporter Taunts Ohio State Fans About Ryan Day originally appeared on The Spun. For as great as Ryan Day has been since taking over for Urban Meyer at Ohio State, his record vs. Michigan in The Game continues to haunt him. The Buckeyes are riding a four-game losing skid to The Team Up North — which had largely ruined OSU's national championship hopes up until last year. With the recent expansion of the College Football Playoff, Ohio State was afforded the opportunity to still compete for its first national title under Day despite its two regular season losses — and the program might've been better off for it. OSU curb stomped its way to the CFP Final where they ultimately proved to be too much for Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. But that still hasn't stopped fans in Ann Arbor from letting the Bucks coach know about how poorly his team has performed against Big Blue. This last one was arguably the worst considering that Michigan was barely over .500 when they found a way to go into Columbus and plant the UM flag (and keep in mind Day lost to a Wolverines team that didn't even have its coach on the sideline in 2023). Michigan reporter keeps it real After an Ohio State fan posted to X that: "It's on Ryan Day to send Michigan to hell, and to be honest, I want it that way," longtime Michigan reporter Jordan Strack put last season's loss into (savage) perspective for the OSU alum. "lol. Ryan Day was a 3 touchdown favorite - with a $20 million roster- facing a walk-on quarterback - and a Michigan team who couldn't complete a forward pass on his home STILL LOST," the former WTOL sports director replied. To the Buckeyes credit, they responded to the loss about as well as they possibly could've. But its still not going to be pretty if Ohio State suffers a fifth-straight loss to the Wolverines under Day come Nov. 29.
