'Beauty Empire' to premiere in GMA Network on July 7
In a recent media conference, the series announced that they will be premiering in GMA Network on July 7 at 9:35 p.m.
Produced by GMA Public Affairs and based on an original concept by CreaZion Studios, "Beauty Empire" dives deep into the intense rivalries and high-stakes drama among powerful women as they navigate the beauty industry driven by ambition, revenge, and power.
The story will follow the life of Noreen (Barbie), a rags-to-riches beauty entrepreneur who is out to tear down the empire that her enemies have built. She goes head-to-head against Shari De Jesus (Kyline), a crass but social media-famous beauty CEO who is mentored by Velma Imperial (Ruffa Gutierrez), Noreen's idol and a powerful industry veteran whose ties to her go beyond business.
But as Noreen tears her opponents down on social media and as they destroy each other's personal lives, an invisible player becomes evidently responsible for the bloodshed happening amidst the ongoing beauty wars.
Aside from Barbie and Kyline, the series also stars South Korean actor and former Golden Child member Choi Bo Min, Gloria Diaz, Sam Concepcion, Chai Fonacier, and Sid Lucero among others.
The series will also stream in Viu Philippines. —MGP, GMA Integrated News

Dennis Trillo teaches Kim Ji Soo hilarious Tagalog sentences
Kim Ji Soo enlisted the help of none other than Dennis Trillo to teach him some Tagalog! On TikTok, the South Korean actor posted a video of their lesson. 'Today, I'm learning Tagalog acting with great actor, Dennis Trillo,' he said. Dennis said he wrote several funny lines for them to try out. The Kapuso Drama King recited the lines first, and Ji Soo did his best to copy each one. The lines include, 'Ang baho! Sinong umutot?', 'Pakiusap! Ibalik mo ang salawal ko,' and 'Parang awa mo na, magsipilyo ka naman.' Amused netizens jokingly commented, "Jisoo, parang away mo na, lumayo ka kay Dennis." Ji Soo is a guest star on 'Sanggang Dikit FR' starring Dennis and Jennylyn Mercado. He calls his character 'totally a bad guy.' "Sanggang Dikit FR" follows Sgt. Bobby Enriquez (Jennylyn) and Lt. Tonyo Conde (Dennis). After having experienced personal losses, the two police officers are brought together when a high-profile murder happens involving people close to them. The show recently filmed scenes in Europe and the United Arab Emirates. Catch "Sanggang Dikit FR" from Mondays to Fridays at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News

Barbie Forteza garners praise for professionalism, punctuality: 'Artista na nauuna sa staff'
Barbie Forteza received praises for her exceptional professionalism and punctuality during the production of her latest film, 'P77,' which made a significant impression on both the director and network executives. At Tuesday's media conference for the horror movie, director Derick Cabrido expressed his admiration, noting that the Kapuso Primetime Princess consistently arrives on set even before the crew. 'Ito 'yung artista na nauuna kaysa sa staff. Maraming time na nakaka-receive ako ng tawag, tumatawag sa 'kin, nagda-drive pa lang ako. Imagine mo, call time namin, mga 6:30, 7:00. Tumatawag na sa akin 'yung PM namin o kaya 'yung mga staff. Sabi 'Nandito na si Barbie,'' he said. He would ask why she was there so early, and the crew would inform him that Barbie went directly to the 'P77' shoot from another project, which was 'Pulang Araw.' 'Direk, hindi pa naka-set up ang tent,' the crew would tell him. Direk Derick shared, 'May time na parang parang nando'n na siya nang 5:30, pero 7:00 dapat siya dumating, 7:30. For me, alam ko na talagang sobrang ano siya doon sa work niya.' GMA Public Affairs Senior Vice President Nessa Valdellon further echoed these sentiments, explaining why Barbie is such a favorite to work with. 'She's such a pro,' she said. She shared that at 2:15 p.m., she came in to check the setup for the press conference, and she was surprised to see that Barbie was already at the venue when the event was scheduled to start at 3 p.m. 'Nauna pa siya sa akin. So, ganoon siya lagi. She is always early. She is just so prepared. She is so professional. So, why wouldn't we want to work with her?' she said. The network executive added that Barbie is always willing to do anything. 'As in, no weirdness, no freak-outs. She doesn't disappear in the middle of a shooting day. So, we love Barbie. And she acts so well, ever since bata pa na siya.' Also present at the press event was GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, who commented on the significance of 'P77.' 'Matagal nang hindi gumagawa ang GMA Pictures ng horror na movie, na nasa horror genre, at ito 'yung comeback namin sa horror kaya pinaghandaan talaga 'to at gusto naming magbigay ng kakaibang type of horror na tamang-tama naman sa mga panahon ngayon,' she said. 'P77' also stars JC Alcantara, Euwenn Mikaell, Gina Pareño, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, and Jackie Lou Blanco. The film is coming to cinemas on July 30. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
