Allahabad HC allows plaint to represent suits of Hindu side in Krishna Janmabhoomi Mathura case
Allahabad High Court
on Friday allowed an application moved by the plaintiff in suit number 17 to treat his plaint as the representative one of all other suits in the Krishna Janmbhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute at Mathura.
After this, suit number 17 will be treated as the representative suit and will be heard and decided first.

The order was passed by Justice Ram Manohar Narain Mishra, hearing a bunch of original suits relating to the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute at Mathura.
The controversy is related to the Mughal emperor Aurangazeb-era Shahi Eidgah mosque at Mathura, which is alleged to have been built after demolishing a temple at the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

In suit number 17, an application under order 1 rule 8 was moved saying this suit be treated in representative capacity for all the suits.
Senior advocate Taslima Naseem, appearing on behalf of the Muslim side, said that the proceedings of other suits be stayed after this order. She further said that whatever order will be passed now in suit no. 17 should be binding on other suits.
The court fixed August 22 as the next date for framing issues.
The Hindu side has filed 18 suits for the possession of land after the removal of the Shahi Idgah masjid structure as well as for restoration of the temple and for
permanent injunction
.
At one stage, on August 1 last year, the high court had rejected applications of the Muslim side, which challenged the maintainability of suits of Hindu worshippers. The court held that all suits of the Hindu worshippers were maintainable and these suits were not barred by the
Limitation Act
, the Waqf Act and the Places of Worship Act,1991.
Later on October 23, 2024, the high court rejected an application moved by the
Shahi Idgah mosque
committee to recall the high court's January 11, 2024 order consolidating all suits filed in connection with the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Eidgah dispute at Mathura.

HC seeks government stand on Commission of Enquiry on Bhoodan lands
Telangana High Court on Friday sought to know from the State government if it was willing to constitute a Commission of Enquiry to probe into the allegations of illegal mutation and alienation of Bhoodan lands spread over 10 acres under survey numbers 194 and 195 at Nagaram village of Maheshwaram mandal in Rangareddy district. Justice K. Lakshman of the HC directed the Additional Advocate General T. Rajnikanth Reddy to get instructions in the matter after hearing a writ petition filed by an agriculturist Vadthya Ramulu who contended that his lands were sold off by private persons fraudulently to some senior IAS and IPS officers. The judge directed the AAG to explain the government's stand in the matter by July 28. The petitioner from the scheduled tribe maintained that his father late Jamala purchased the land from its original owner Nawab Mohd. Haji Khan in 1964. It was registered by the Sub-Registrar Office of Ibrahimpatnam. Five acres of this land was gifted to him through gift settlement deed in 2019 which was registered by the Maheshwaram SRO in 2019, according to the writ petition. Eventually, the authorities issued pattadar passbook to him in 2020. The petitioner's counsel submitted that four private persons, in connivance with the Kandukur Revenue Divisional Officer, got the lands mutated online on their names. But the manual records still remained on the name of the petitioner, the counsel pointed out. Using documents generated through the fraudulent mutation of the lands, the private persons sold off the land to 34 senior IAS and IPS officers, the petitioner claimed. He stated that he had submitted an application to the State government to constitute a Commission of Enquiry into the fraudulent sale of the lands, but the authorities did not respond to it. The counsel informed the bench that another writ petition alleging fraudulent sale of Bhoodan lands in Maheshwaram mandal was pending in the HC. Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy had already directed the Revenue and the Registration department not to permit any further transactions on the said lands in that writ petition. Justice Lakshman directed the Registry to tag both the pleas together and adjourned the matter to July 28.

AP forms high-level panel to fast-track MSME tourism projects
Vijayawada: In a move to accelerate tourism development and promote entrepreneurship in the state, the govt has constituted a high-level committee to oversee the land allotment process for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. This follows the rollout of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Land Allotment Policy 2024–2029 and aligns with the overarching Tourism Policy 2024–2029. According to the Govt Order on Thursday night, the newly-formed committee will facilitate the transparent allotment of govt land to eligible MSME tourism projects. The committee is designed to ensure efficient, sustainable, and investor-friendly project implementation across tourism infrastructure, including hotels, resorts, wellness centres, amusement parks, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities, and more. The committee will be chaired by the vice chairman and managing director (VC&MD) of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC). The chief executive officer of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority will serve as co-chairman, while the executive director (projects) of APTDC is designated as the member convener.
