EXCLUSIVE Revealed: The real reason JoJo Siwa denied dating Chris Hughes - after THAT steamy bedroom snap

Daily Mail2 days ago

JoJo Siwa originally denied her relationship with Chris Hughes due to fears he didn't feel the same way, it's been revealed, after the dancer finally confirmed they've made their romance official.
The dancer, 22, and Love Island star, 32, have sparked a social media storm since they met on Celebrity Big Brother in April, with their friendship slowing blossoming into romance since they met the show.
JoJo's romance with Chris appeared to gather steam when he jetted to Mexico to surprise her for her 22nd birthday last month, and he proceeded to mark the milestone with the singer and her family in Orlando.
Now, after JoJo jetted to the UK to reunite with Chris last week, sources have told DailyMail.com that the Dance Moms star's parents, Jessalynn and Tom, fully approve of the relationship.
They said: 'I'm not sure why she ever denied the fact that they are dating, she's mad about him. Literally head over heels, maybe she wanted to know it was as true to him as it was for her.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
'Her parents are all in for JoJo's happiness and see Chris as someone very special and are eager to see where it all goes.
'They fully support their daughter's decision. JoJo has grown up before our eyes, and will jump into things with both feet, so her friends aren't surprised that she is acting this way with Chris.
'No one is talking about the age gap or if they are rushing into things. Everyone just wants to see JoJo happy.
'She has been thinking of writing songs about her relationship with Chris.'
In a recent interview with Sunday Brunch, JoJo fought back tears as she shared how her parents 'think the world of Chris.'
She said: 'She loves him, she does love him. My parents think the absolute world of him, and him and my Dad are like best friends, Chris was actually telling me this yesterday, they went to the spa together yesterday.
'They're literally best friends, Mom Siwa she absolutely adores him. I love watching her watch us, because I've never seen my mom so happy, and it's... it's... I could cry.
'Honestly, it makes me happy to have everybody act as... it feels like we're a family, it feels like he's been in my family for how ever many years it feels like forever.
'He gets along as well as I do. I think he loves me becuase of my parents!'
It comes just hours after Chris was grilled about his romance with JoJo during an appearance on Tuesday's This Morning.
The former Love Island star appeared on the daily ITV show on Tuesday from Towcester where he was covering Sam Thompson 's Soccer Aid challenge.
During the segment, host Ben Shephard asked Chris a cheeky question about him and JoJo.
'Can we just say, because obviously we're all talking about it. Congratulations on the relationship, we're all very excited, have we decided whether it's Hughes-wa... what's the power couple name?' Ben asked.
Co-host Cat eagerly added: 'What is it going to be?'
'They call it Co-Jo, that's the one they're all going for,' Chris replied.
The two presenters gushed that they liked the name and Chris commented it 'rolls off the tongue'.
On Monday, JoJo finally confirmed that she and Chris were in a relationship, following weeks of speculation.
The pair sparked a social media frenzy since meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house in April, with their sweet friendship blossoming into romance after the series ended.
While JoJo has been grilled many times on her relationship status, she had been noticeably coy, simply branding Chris her 'favourite person in the world.'
But in an interview with Capital Radio, JoJo confirmed that she and Chris have made their relationship official, and she's started calling him her boyfriend.
Speaking in a video for the channel's new series Capital Buzz, the dancer admitted that she's had to explain her viral 'Dream guest on my podcast' moment to Chris.
She then added: 'I'm sure it's no secret to people, I am in a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes.'
In an earlier interview with The Guardian, JoJo gushed about her blossoming romance with Chris, when asked whether things between them were still platonic.
She said: 'It's not platonic any more, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head over heels for him and he's the same way.'
The Dance Moms star also hit back at speculation that their relationship is a 'PR stunt,' saying: 'Clearly, you've never been around us. I won't ever speak for him, but for me personally, the happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now.
'Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I've never [before] been in pain from smiling so much.'
On Sunday, Chris sent fans into a frenzy when he shared a steam bedroom snap with JoJo on Snapchat.
Sharing the sweet image of himself and JoJo cuddled in bed together, he captioned the image: 'Sleeping beauty.'
Last week, JoJo took to Instagram to reflect on her London shows, admitting she has never felt so 'content and happy,' and described her first few days in the UK as 'the perfect time with perfect people in a perfect place'.
Her post included a slew of snaps from her performance, including a sweet image that showed herself and Chris embracing backstage.
Chris had previously shared his relationship status with JoJo, after the singer seemingly confirmed their romance with a sweet on-stage tribute.
The ITV star had a simple one-word answer when asked whether he and JoJo were in a relationship during a Q&A session.
The presenter admitted: 'Happy. That's my relationship status - happy. Yeah, I'm just happy that's good. I'm happy with that.'
Despite the guarded answer, Chris still gushed about his close relationship with JoJo, admitting she's become his 'favourite topic of conversation.'
He said: 'She's just just my favourite human and somebody I can literally talk about relentlessly.'
During her performance in London on Tuesday, JoJo seemed to confirm their friendship with Chris had blossomed into romance, before breaking down in tears as she told fans she feels 'incredibly loved '.
The star once again performed her cover of Bette Davies' Eyes, and changed the end of the song's lyrics to sing ' Chris Hughes ' Eyes'.
Admitting she'd changed the end of the song because it made her 'happy,' she added: 'I'll tell you this much, if it's not obvious, that ending lyric is very much true,' sparking a huge cheer from the fans in attendance.
Chris had attended JoJo's first show in London the previous night, but the star admitted he couldn't attend Tuesday's performance.
Instead, she brought along the orange beanie he'd given her while in the house, after she caught Chris singing one of her hits while she was still asleep.
She told the audience: 'This morning I woke up and all I heard was [sings Nobody Can Change me] he was singing, so I figured today I'd bring a little bit of him while I sing this next song.'
As the show came to a close, JoJo wept at the crowd's reception, telling her fans that after once feeling she was 'one of the most hated people in the world,' she felt 'so special and so loved'.

The 36-year-old has shared moments from their break in the Maldives at the luxury Kandima beach resort. Taking to Instagram, the mum has spoken up about her battle with melasma, a common skin condition in adults which can cause darkening of the skin caused by increased melanin, reports The Record. "Off to see my laser guru @rebeccatreston @ Please sort out my melasma I've missed you." She also asked her followers if they would like treatment recommendations or advice, if anyone may be suffering from a similar skin condition. "Do you suffer from pigmentation/melasma/sun spots?," she asked. "Okay guys I have been in the sun all day, always wear my factor 50 and my hat but I think with melasma you still get affected with just the heat so I always try and keep my face really cool. "That's a tip that I learnt, but I'm going to see Rebecca now but look," she gestured as she pointed her face towards the camera. "I don't know if you can see this all kind of multiplied again come back, this is me completely bare faced." She continued: "You can see it here there's definitely a difference between freckles. I love freckles, love to embrace them, but sun spots, melasma, pigmentation is different and can be quite ageing. (Image: Instagram) "I quite like the little bits on my lips but I just want to remove that and Rebecca has all the best lasers in Dubai," as she gestured to her cheekbones. "She always teaches me things and has new techniques that I've never heard of before which are incredibly effective." The star added: "So we are going to go today with pico, really quick easy. I don't think there's any down time so yeah, let's get rid of this." Jamie Oliver says there's one ingredient you should use to cook the best steak

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, famed as The Naked Chef and face of Channel 4 cookery shows, has spilled the beans on crafting the ultimate steak. If you're looking to woo your significant other with a steak dinner at home, Jamie insists there's no need to douse your sirloin in pricey cooking oils or unhealthy fats. In a tutorial on his YouTube channel, Jamie shared his tip for achieving 'delicious, melt in your mouth' sirloin using nothing but the steak's own fat. Dispensing with the need for additional oil, Jamie advises trimming the steak's fat, dicing it finely, and letting it supply its natural essence. READ MORE - Man who knew Madeleine McCann suspect makes dramatic plea to police during search READ MORE - Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson opens up on 'health struggle' on holiday The culinary maestro said: "We're gonna cook a beautiful steak for date night, steak night." Describing his method, Jamie expressed: "It's really quick, it's really delicious, I wanna share with you a brilliant technique for making the perfect sirloin steak, tender, melt in your mouth, cut like butter.", reports the Express. He began by prepping a non-stick skillet on medium flame, then tackled the beef sirloin. Jamie proposed: "What I would suggest to do is pull this fat off, and this fat is really really important, it's going to give you the flavour. "But what we don't want is that sinew. That really tough bit that you kind of push to the side. "It's a real pain. "So what I love to do is slice [the fat] up into little chunks, and render it down. So instead of putting butter or oil in this pan, we're going to cook the steak in the steak fat. "Then get the knife and cut off the piece of sinew. Get rid of that." He then said you fry the cut up fat, add cloves of garlic, which will flavour the fat. Then season the steak with black pepper and sea salt, and pat it in. He added: "What I'm doing is one thicker steak for two people, and cook it medium rare." Before adding the steak to the pan, throw in some spring onions, and slice open two red chillis, taking care to remove the seeds first so it's not too spicy. Once that's sizzled for a while, take it all out of the pan, and put the steak in. The pan will already have natural beef juices in from the fat. Jamie added: "When pan-frying a steak, do it a minute on each side until it's cooked to your liking. "Whether it's well done, medium, medium rare, rare, whatever you like. For me medium rare is what I'm after, about three minutes on each side." When you take it out, place it on top of the spring onions and chillis you removed earlier. For those feeling really daring, you can also blend up a sauce using the rest of your chillis, spring onions and add jarred peppers, and serve the steak sliced up on top, Jamie added.

The power from thousands of UK car drivers is now in your hands

I received an interesting E-mail from a reader last week, following up on a recent long-term report on the single-motor Volvo EC40 I'm currently driving. It turns out that our reader, a keen petrolhead called Derek Dunthorne, is running the twin-motor version of the Volvo EC40, and although it's in a different specification to mine and something of an upgrade, we share many similar opinions. Advertisement - Article continues below Derek loves the interior, telling me that the 'Android-based interface is brilliant – easy to use and completely logical – although, like most folk, I would prefer knobs for the heating and ventilation'. He also gave me some background information on his buying decision. Moving away from several Porsche Macans, this would be his – wait for it – 56th car. What particularly impressed him was Volvo's interior quality and finish; they're not quite at Porsche standards, in his opinion, but better than the Korean alternatives. He initially considered the smaller and newer EX30, but found he preferred the more conventional driver displays of the EC40, which is something I happen to agree with. It also turns out that we are even getting the same miles per kWh. But the really interesting information from Derek was beyond even what our long-term reports can offer. It transpires that he bought the car at six months old with 1,800 miles on the clock for a discount of 33 per cent on the new price and a three per cent PCP (to hedge against depreciation). He was impressed with Volvo's used car 30-day exchange policy, and as it transpired that was a good choice, because he actually ended up using it. Unhappy with his first car for a number of reasons, he returned it and the company refunded his money and allowed him to choose another, which he now loves. In terms of running costs, his are a fraction of mine. He uses the Octopus Energy Intelligent Go tariff that enables him to charge overnight for 7.0p per kWh. This means he has spent around £120 on electricity in 12 months and about 4,000 miles. Like many, he has never needed to use public charging, with all his journeys having been no longer than the 200 miles that the Volvo can comfortably complete. In the digital era, we often hear about information overload, but Derek's E-mail and the context of his purchase and ongoing experience really brought home the power of information for car buyers. Which is what our annual Driver Power satisfaction survey is all about: real-world experiences from real-world drivers. You can read the 2025 results next week, but in the meantime 'be more Derek'. Fill in the latest survey that will contribute to next year's results, because there is clearly no such thing as too much information when it comes to changing cars. We need all the help we can get, from experts and those living with the cars we're considering. Buy a car with Auto Express. Our nationwide dealer network has some fantastic cars on offer right now with new, used and leasing deals to choose from...
