New Michelin Guide to cover southeast U.S., including Carolinas
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Michelin announced Wednesday that the company will launch a new Michelin Guide for the American South.
The new guide will cover restaurants in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the pre-existing Atlanta guide.
According to Michelin, inspectors are already in the field, scouting restaurants throughout the region for the 2025 guide. The company said the guide would be their first regional guide in North America.
The Michelin Guide uses certain criteria to select restaurants to appear in the guide, with each restaurant inspected several times a year for quality, flavor, cooking technique, chef personality reflected in cuisine, and consistency.
This new guide gives restaurants throughout the southeast a chance to earn coveted Michelin stars.
'We are excited to embark on this new journey for the MICHELIN Guide as this will be the first time since the Guide's North American debut in 2005 that we are launching a regional selection,' said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. 'The cuisine of the American South is a unique product of diverse influences creating an iconic array of specialties prepared by proud and impressive culinary talent.'
The full selection of restaurants will be announced at a ceremony later this year.

Louis Vuitton's Saint-Tropez Restaurant Is Back With a Michelin Star
The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric atLouis Vuittonrestaurant has set up shop at the White 1921 Saint-Tropez for the third consecutive year. This time, however, the bougie dining locale is back with a newly earned Michelin star. Chef Arnaud Donckele and chef pâtissier Maxime Frédéric have unveiled a seasonal menu guided by three pillars: international food, disruptive dishes, and cultural meals. The chefs, both of whom are from Normandy, place a special emphasis on French and Mediterranean cuisine, but international flavors contribute to the menu's travel-by-plate mentality. Among the best-rated dishes are the Wagyu beef, which is served in a seasoned broth, and the grilled blue lobster, which is dressed with shiso-infused sauce. The Louis Vuitton restaurant features all sorts of nods to the French megabrand's core identity, including trunk-shaped side tables, Monogram-inspired tableware from the 'Art de la Table' collection, and even desserts modeled after the label's signature shapes and motifs. The alfresco dining area is filled with white and blue sofas, which are enclosed by lush greenery decorated with logomanic flowers. The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton restaurant is now open at Hotel White 1921 in Saint-Tropez, France, and reservations can be made on the brand's website. Take a look inside the restaurant in the gallery above.

Jim Cramer Says He 'Personally Would Not Own Altria (MO)'
We recently published a list of . In this article, we are going to take a look at where Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO) stands against other stocks that Jim Cramer discusses. Answering a caller's query about Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO), Cramer commented: 'Alright, but here's, okay, so I'm going to give you two answers to this because I've been trying to change my mind about some things…. I personally would not own Altria. Why? Because I don't like what they do. Is it a superior stock better than most? The answer is, as I was writing How to Make Money in Any Market, the answer is yes. So you've got two answers. It's up to you. I couldn't own it for my trust. I couldn't live with myself.' A close-up of an assembly line with a blend of tobacco products. Altria (NYSE:MO) produces and markets a range of tobacco and nicotine products, including cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, nicotine pouches, and e-vapor devices, sold under brands like Marlboro, Black & Mild, Copenhagen, and NJOY ACE. Andvari Associates stated the following regarding Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO) in its Q1 2025 investor letter: 'Last year, Andvari made its first investments in tobacco companies with the purchase of Philip Morris International and Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO). At the time of our purchase, Philip Morris and Altria had underperformed the S&P 500 over the prior 5- and 10-year periods. Both traded at low valuations and with high dividend yields. But thanks to following the industry o and on for 10+ years, and thanks to many discussions with long-time shareholders of the companies, Andvari felt the time was right to make the plunge. The timing could not have been much better for us as both companies have so far contributed positively to Andvari's recent overall performance. Cramer was bullish on Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (NASDAQ:CBRL) as he said: 'I've been following this folksy off-highway restaurant/retail chain for a little over a year, and I started pounding the table on the stock last July after speaking to CEO Julie Masino, who I think is orchestrating just one heck of a turnaround… The stock rolled over, especially after Liberation Day, at its April lows, it came all the way back down to 33 bucks. Now, I told you that was an incredible buying opportunity.
