Calm After The Storm – Inter Milan Duo Lautaro & Calhanoglu Share Photo After Summer Transfer Soap Opera
As FCInterNews note, Nerazzurri captain Martinez shared a picture of the two players together on his Instagram story, reunited after a turbulent summer of transfer rumours and harsh feelings.
It would be an understatement to say that Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was at the centre of a transfer saga this summer.
For weeks, reports have linked the 31-year-old with a move to Galatasaray. Most coming out of Turkey.
In the last week or so, there have even been some shock links between Calhanoglu and Fenerbahce.
These transfer rumours became unavoidable after a certain point.
Eventually, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez had all but called out the Turkish international a few weeks ago over the rumours.
Speaking frankly after Inter's Club World Cup exit against Fluminense, the Argentine implored 'whoever wants to leave, leave.'
Inter Duo Lautaro & Calhanoglu Make Peace After Summer Transfer Blowup

Calhanoglu then responded to Martinez's outburst. He hit out that 'respect is a two-way street' and suggested that the captain's comments had been 'divisive.'
Naturally, this made it obvious that there was a real rift starting to form within the Inter squad.
That made it awkward, then, when it became clear that Calhanoglu would be staying at Inter after all.
Inevitably, fans have wondered whether the two key players in the squad can really be on the same page after all of the summer drama.
However, Martinez and Calhanoglu have met up before the preseason training camp begins tomorrow. And evidently, they have spoken, made their apologies, and cleared the air.

Jashari set for Milan medical tests in 24-48 hours
Ardon Jashari is expected in Italy tonight for a Milan medical over the next 24-48 hours after a deal was agreed with Club Brugge for a reported €34m plus add-ons, with significant tweaks to the format. The big breakthrough was reported yesterday evening and things progressed rapidly from there, with the Rossoneri agreeing to raise the fixed part of the fee compared to the add-ons. That means the ultimate cost of the operation remains circa €38m, but that the structure of the fee is changed. (Photo by Alex Bierens) According to that means €34m fixed, plus €4m in add-ons, with payment spread out over four years rather than five. Jashari had signed off on the personal terms weeks ago, a five-year contract worth €2.5m per season and rising. (Photo by) The player was crucial in getting this over the line by demanding a transfer to Milan, who he had supported since a childhood trip to San Siro, and rejecting more lucrative proposals from the likes of Neom. Now Club Brugge are releasing him to fly out and undergo the medical tests, so he is expected to arrive on Italian soil as early as this evening, undergoing the tests on Wednesday.
