Mariah Carey, 56, looks incredibly youthful in striking snaps as she becomes latest star to baffle fans by appearing to age backwards
Mariah Carey looked like she'd barely aged a day in her latest slew of stunning snaps.
The singer, 56, took to Instagram on Monday to document her time in Asia, writing: 'Loved celebrating Mother's Day in China! ❤️'
Yet fans were focused on her stunning youthful looks, flooding the comments sections with compliments.
Among the sweet messages were: 'Always beautiful'; 'Whoaaaa!!! So beautiful ❤️❤️❤️'; 'Slay mama ❤️❤️❤️❤️'; 'A+Amazing dahling'.
Mariah - who is currently on her Celebration of Mimi tour - is mother to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 14.
She is the latest Hollywood star to baffle fans by looking younger than ever as the years pass.
Cosmetic surgeons have reported a recent rise in deep plane face lifts - with a myriad of A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Lindsay Lohan and Anne Hathaway - speculated to have had one.
Mariah has denied having any cosmetic surgery and has instead credited many other factors for her youthful looks.
Over the years she has opened up about various beauty tips - which range from never smoking cigarettes to only being photographed from her 'good side'.
The singer has often highlighted the importance of external factors, like angles and positioning.
She has on several occasions admitted to feeling 'tortured' by 'hideous' overhead lighting.
Speaking recently on the Las Culturistas podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, she voiced her grievances.
'I can't with the overhead lighting. Why do they do it to us? I shouldn't say us, it's not us. It's me,' Mariah remarked.
'I'm the one who's the most tortured by the hideous lighting in every elevator, doorways, gyms - not that I go to the gym. But I'm just saying, it's hideous lighting.'
She added that 'the sun is OK if it's sunset', but is 'careful' to the UV ray exposure.
'But overheard lighting, I don't think so, honey,' the singer expressed. 'Everywhere I go, shut the lights. Turn them out. I don't want to see them no more.'
It's not the first time Mariah has expressed that overhead lighting makes her 'sick'.
In an interview with the Sunday Times in 2016, as reported by Yahoo!, the musician told the journalist: 'I have to point out this is a rented house - I would never have overhead lighting. High hats, they call them.
'In my apartment in New York, it's all recessed lighting, chandeliers, candles. This lighting is abusive.'
Elsewhere earlier this year Mariah took to Instagram to show what she deemed the 'bad side' of her face.
'New year, new beginnings... taking a picture from my 'bad side'!' the caption read.
Mariah smiled softly with the camera facing the left side of her face, where she has a signature mole between her lips and jawline.
The star has frequently joked about her 'bad side' with fans, after in 2016 revealing that she was told to favour one side of her visage when she was only 19.
Recounting the tale on her docuseries Mariah's World, she said it was her first ever shoot, and a photographer said her right side was her 'good side'.
'This is your good side,' they allegedly said. 'Only let people photograph you from your good side. Ever.'
For years after, Mariah reportedly wouldn't allow photographs of her 'bad side' - but eventually leaned into it.
In 2009, speaking to the Associated Press - as shared by Yahoo! - she revealed: 'I don't feel like, "Oh, I have to be on this side, or I have to be on this side." I really had specific things that someone told me when I was 19 starting in the business and I listened to them. I don't care anymore.'
The pop sensation has also been rumoured to be a fan of unusual beauty treatments - including milk baths.
Speaking to the Guardian in 2018, Mariah clarified an interviewer's question about whether it was really true that she only bathed in French mineral water?
'No, I bathe in milk,' she replied. 'Yes, sometimes I use milk as a beauty treatment. I don't want to give away all my secrets... Cold milk.'
Elsewhere a US Weekly report once claimed that the artist paid a masseuse $1,500 to massage her for eight hours, while she slept.
Speaking to FEMAIL, Dr Akis Ntonos, founder of Aion Aesthetics and partner of Certainly Health also suggested it's possible Mariah may have gotten 'tweakments' over the years to maintain her youthful appearance.
The doctor shared that it is likely that Botox has been used in various areas of her face.
The injections appear to have been administered masterfully, knocking years off her appearance while still keeping her looking like herself.
'Mariah has a very defined facial structure, so Botox would be used to fill out her lines without losing that striking definition,' he explained.
'It's been strategically injected in a way that lifts her eyes rather than making them droop. Her practitioner has done an excellent job.
'Good Botox is all about enhancing what's already there, not completely overhauling your natural beauty.'
Dr Ntonos believes that part of the reason Mariah Carey's Botox is so impressive is that it is most likely been used preventatively.
He added: 'Botox is a widely used treatment to diminish signs of ageing, such as wrinkles and fine lines.
'Most people get Botox once these signs have already appeared; however, preventive Botox aims to beat the formation of wrinkles.
'By relaxing or weakening the facial muscles that cause wrinkles, preventive Botox can help to slow down the development of these lines.'
When it comes to make-up, the star has also revealed a surprising product that she 'never' wears.
Speaking to US Weekly, Mariah admitted that she 'hates' mascara. 'Whenever a makeup artist tries to put it on me, I throw a fit,' she added.
Mariah also told the outlet that she has a strict no-smoking policy for her wellbeing.
'I smoked quite frequently from the time I was 12 to when I was 18,' the singer admitted.
'I gave up smoking in one day and never went back. I absolutely detest cigarette smoke now.'
However, the rule does appear to be linked to her vocal abilities more than anything else.
'One day I promised God if he'd give me my voice back, I'd never smoke again,' she had said in an interview, as shared by Vogue.
'And I got three octaves back after quitting.' Because nobody does a comeback story quite like a true pop diva.
In 2016 Mariah also opened up about her food choices, for maintaining a healthy body.
'It's really hard. My diet, you would hate it,' she told E! News. 'All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That's it.
'I'm actually serious... I try to stick with the proteins. It's the worst.'

Why fans think Mariah Carey isn't singing on her comeback track... amid claims she's been replaced with AI
Mariah Carey has been caught up in another wild conspiracy theory just weeks after fans believed that she'd been replaced by AI. The diva, 56, returned to the music scene with a new rap single this week called Type Dangerous, but a lot of fans have pointed out that Mimi sounds different compared to before. 'Is it just me or it doesn't sound like Mariah at all,' asked one confused listener. 'Is it just me or does Mariah's new song sound like a JLo song? Also… she sounds nothing like herself, the overproduction is weird. Doesn't sound like her even a little,' wrote another. A third wrote, 'Now who is singing bc that doesn't sound like Mariah.' Another added, 'What's strange about this new Mariah song is I saw her live a year and a half ago and she can very much still sing live. Why on earth did they add whatever this is on top of her voice? It doesn't even sound like her.' However, other fans argued that the talented vocalist was just using a different style of singing. 'Just listened to Mariah Carey's new song. She used her voice in a different way than we're used to, but the song is nice! I like it,' wrote one. Another explained, 'She's just using her lower voice and experimenting. She's always doing something new and original.' It comes after Mariah left some of her Australian fans confused after appearing disinterested as she sat down for an interview with The Project. The pop diva gave a series of short answers, sometimes uttering single word reposes in a bored monotone while speaking with host Georgie Tunny. When asked how she handles criticism, Mariah replied simply: 'By not coping is what I do.' After a pause she continued: 'I mean, just don't pay attention to it, you know? And everybody else goes through it, so... whatever.' The 56-year-old was also asked what she'd like on her tour rider for her upcoming Aussie tour, to which Mariah oddly replied in deadpan: 'A kangaroo.' Mariah was likewise asked about her notorious love of good lighting, to which she said dismissively: 'Good lighting is everything. I don't know why people even have rooms that are poorly lit.' The interview plodded along at painful length, with some viewers branding it 'bizarre' and some even asking if the clip was AI. 'Was that an AI version of MC? That poor lady. I feel sorry for you. You did your best. She hasn't been called a DIVA for no reason... Maybe in the shadow sooner then she likes' wrote one person. 'Sure she wasn't an AI version of Carey? Weird smile, no eye contact. Bot for sure' someone else asked. 'That was the most bizarre interview!!' yet another chimed in. Despite the controversy, Mariah is currently preparing to release her 16th studio album. According to Forbes, the songstress, who has 19 number one singles, is aiming to get her 20th chart topper with Type Dangerous. 'She's fighting to stay contemporary,' her longtime producer LA Reid told the publication. Mariah left her label Epic Records, who released her last album Caution, to partner with new music company Gamma for her comeback.

Coronation Street fans slam Eileen Grimshaw's ‘ridiculous' exit as she waves goodbye to the cobbles after 25 years
CORONATION Street fans were left baffled by Eileen Grimshaw's emotional farewell tonight after 25 years. Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver, told her heartbroken boyfriend George she didn't love him anymore before hopping in a cab with son Jason and announcing: 'I'm moving to Thailand.' 4 4 4 A cheery Eileen was waved off outside the Rovers after a few drinks with her Streetcars co-workers Steve and Tim. Eileen was greeted to a big treat by the Street Cars drivers, who beeped as she drove away. George was left in tears, having confronted Eileen with his suspicions that she wasn't attracted to him anymore. George was due to fly to Thailand with Eileen - and fans couldn't believe he'd throw away the money he spent on the ticket. Others slammed the idea of Eileen as a barmaid in Thailand, and moving halfway across the world on a whim. 'It's hilarious how they make moving so simple in soaps… 'She couldn't just up and leave to live permanently in Thailand without the correct visa,' one fan wrote. 'Can't see Eileen as a Thai barmaid,' another added, while a third joked: 'Seems they're giving Eileen a boring, miserable exit!' Long-time viewers also felt the storyline was a letdown compared to Eileen's dramatic past. 'Remember when Eileen got her head stuck in the railings? This has been mostly dull and miserable — which sums up Eileen in recent years,' one fan said. Even George's tearful goodbye was mocked, as one said:'George! You're not a murderer, a liar, thief, womaniser… that's why Eileen isn't interested in you, hon!' She also made the decision to make a fresh start in Thailand after being worn down by being suspected in her sister Julie's tragic death. In Friday's episode, Eileen's mind is turned to leaving the cobbles after hearing Theo's impassioned speech to his daughter Millie. Theo explains to his teenage daughter, that he can't return to live with her mum, his ex, because "it didn't feel right," after realising he was attracted to men and wanted to see where is his relationship with Todd went. George realised how Theo's speech moved Eileen and went to confront her after she'd been at the police who had just cleared her of any wrongdoing in Julie's death. The Sun exclusively revealed in January that she had quit the show after 25 years on the Salford set to look for new acting opportunities. 'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly,' she explained. One of Sue's major next steps is to become a a regular panellist on after first appearing on the daytime panel show in 2023. Sue took a break from Corrie last year to star in Sister Act The Musical as Mother Superior and appeared in reality show I'm A Celebrity in 2022. Last year, Sue released her memoir A Work In Progress and revealed she was embracing being in her 60s. 4

Greggs mania as legions of JAPANESE fans desperate to visit UK to try firm's £1.30 sausage roll
GREGGS has won a legion of followers in Japan after Madame Tussauds displayed a waxwork version of the bakery chain's sausage roll. Japanese expat influencers have been trying the British pastry favourite and waxing lyrical about it on TikTok. 4 4 4 And their countrymen are now desperate to travel halfway around the world to try one for themselves. In one video, a Japanese TikTok influencer living in the UK tells her 10,000 followers she eats Greggs twice a day and says: 'If you plan to go to England, please try this.' Another said: 'Pretty sure it's a legal requirement in the UK to eat at least one Greggs.' The Newcastle-based chain became so well-known online that Japanese news channels have run TV reports explaining what it is. On one item on the popular Nippon TV network, a reporter tells viewers: 'Madame Tussauds, the wax museum that is one of London's popular tourist attractions, features numerous wax figures of British royal family members and world-famous celebrities. 'This time, the new exhibit is not a human, but a sausage roll — a popular snack in the UK. 'June 5 is designated as National Sausage Roll Day in the UK, and Madame Tussauds has created a wax replica of a sausage roll made to look just like the one sold by Greggs, a British chain. 'Greggs' sausage rolls are a beloved snack in the UK, with around one million sold each day. "The wax figure production team spent several months completing the piece, going through trial and error to recreate the flaky pastry layers and crisp texture of the sausage roll.' Greggs taste test Bemused Japanese journalists even interviewed families scoffing sausage rolls outside a branch in London, and asked why they liked them so much. One man, identified by the channel only as 'person eating', told viewers: 'The crust is crunchy, crispy and soft. The seasoning is really good.' Greggs was asked to comment on its new-found fame in the Far East. But after the waxwork was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in central London last week, Greggs CEO Roisin Currie, said: 'Seeing our sausage roll receive the celebrity treatment is a proud and slightly surreal moment for all of us.' 4
