WWE fans were left stunned during this week's episode of Monday Night RAW after Liv Morgan suffered a legitimate shoulder injury mid-match. The bout against Kairi Sane was building momentum when Morgan landed awkwardly during a takedown and immediately clutched her right shoulder in pain.

It was later confirmed that Morgan had dislocated her shoulder and would need surgery, ruling her out of action for the foreseeable future.
Kairi Sane responds with sincere apology
Following the incident, Kairi Sane issued an emotional statement on social media, expressing her heartbreak over the situation.
'One of the most painful things for me is when a match is decided not by wrestling, but because of an injury,' she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
'I always step into the ring with deep respect for my opponent, and I train hard every day to give the audience something they can truly enjoy.'
She added, 'Even if it was never intentional, knowing that someone was hurt in a match with me is something I carry deeply. It breaks my heart. I hope with all my heart for a full and speedy recovery.'
Creative plans disrupted behind the scenes
The injury also caused a ripple effect backstage. WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, who was scheduled to appear during the match, was pulled from the segment due to the uncertainty surrounding Morgan's condition.
