While talking about 'Gangs of Wasseypur', Bala talked about how he and Kshyap used to interact on the sets of the film. In an episode of the 'Cyrus Says' podcast, the director revealed that the two even ended up in a 'showdown' regarding
Manoj Bajpayee

Richa Chadha
's characters on screen.
While talking about the situation, he did not describe it as a 'tiff', however, he only labelled that some disagreement about the film led to a situation. "There was no tiff. So, I was taking stills, and I wasn't feeling useful on the sets of Gangs of Wasseypur. And then, I started critiquing the film. And critiquing the story to him', he added.
He added that while giving his opinions, one point at a time, he came to where it became too much. He stated that while Kashyap takes criticism kindly, this situation was different. He talked about the comment that sent everything downward, when he said on the sets, ''Can't there be just a tender moment?'
He then also added, "And he was like, 'This is the film, this is the character.'
