Alesha Dixon 'rekindling marriage' a year after splitting from husband
Alesha Dixon and her husband are said to be rekindling their marriage a year after they shocked fans by announcing they had split after almost two decades together
Alesha Dixon and her husband Azuka Ononye are believed to be giving their marriage another go after splitting. The Britain's Got Talent judge and her partner shocked fans when it emerged that they had split last year after first meeting in 2006.
Now, however, it's said that the couple have been attempting to give their marriage another go for the sake of their two children. Prior to their split, the pair had been married since 2017 and had still been living together. Now, sources claim that Alesha and Azuka's decision to remain under one roof has caused sparks to fly.
They're believed to be doing "all it takes" to make sure that their marriage gets back on track after they hit a rocky patch. Alesha reportedly failed to see a way forward when they split.
"AZ even moved out to a hotel for a while, despite the fact they were co-parenting," a source said. They went on to add: "But there is still a huge amount of feeling between them. They've been together for 12 years and have two beautiful children."
Speaking to The Sun, the source continued: "So they have decided to give it one last try. They both desperately want to be a family again and are going to do all it takes to make it work" However, it's believed that some of those close to Alesha are skeptical as to whether Alesha and Azuka have ironed out their issues.
The Britain's Got Talent judge and Azuka first met after the breakdown of her marriage to So Solid Crew rapper, MC Harvey. Azuka, who works as a creative director and choreographer was subsequently hired to dance with Alesha on a nationwide tour. But things weren't always plain sailing for the couple.
Famed for her hits including Breathe Slow, the singer admitted she played "hard to get". During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2018, Alesha revealed that she fell in love with Azuka after she underwent an operation on her foot.
She said: "I had the foot operation and I couldn't walk and he was literally sleeping on the floor looking after me every day. I was just looking at him thinking: 'That is for better or for worse isn't it?' I looked a state."
Meanwhile, speaking on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum podcast, she said: "[Azuka] was the first person that I'd met, that I knew that we could have children together because of our values, our morals, our thinking aligned." Meanwhile, during an interview with Hello! in 2022, she explained that she had made a "very conscious effort" to ensure her two children have a supportive family dynamic.
Last year, The Sun reported that Alesha had been telling her nearest and dearest that she and Azuka had made the decision to part ways. A source said: "She and Azuka have been together almost two decades but their relationship has become more like a friendship.
"They're devoted parents to their girls, who are 11 and six, and want to focus on keeping their relationship as amicable as possible for their sake."
The Mirror has approached Alesha's spokesperson for comment.

The TV presenter, 57, made the shocking admission that 'I can't do this any more,' was the life-saving message she sent to a friend on June 5 last year - a moment she now credits with rescuing her from the depths of addiction. She wrote in The Sun: 'It was a hangover day, much like any other, really. I sat on the sofa with my liver and brain pickled in equal measure, wrapped up in the blanket of shame, and something made me reach out for help.' The star, described herself as a 'binge drinker who drank to black out,' and detailed how her addiction crept in slowly. Although she didn't drink daily, lose her job, children, or end up in prison or get arrested, the toll it took was significant. The TV presenter, 57, made the shocking admission that 'I can't do this any more,' was the life-saving message she sent to a friend on June 5 last year - a moment she now credits with rescuing her from the depths of addiction Ulrika admitted to drinking for the wrong reasons - to numb her 'crippling anxiety, to escape, to disappear and extinguish my self-loathing'. She also spoke openly about the shame and secrecy that surrounded her behaviour. From drinking neat rum in a cupboard at 11am to waking up with no memory of the night before, she revealed that her drinking quickly spiralled out of control, but remained hidden behind a polished exterior. Despite having a 'quite unremarkable' drinking history on paper, Ulrika revealed the emotional damage was profound. 'Alcoholics come in all shapes and sizes and many live among us in plain sight,' she wrote, adding that her family history made her vulnerable. 'I wasn't cut out for life,' she confessed, recalling how alcohol became her coping mechanism. 'I wanted the full anaesthetic effect… I just wanted the feelings to stop.' Since giving up alcohol, Ulrika says she has learned more about herself in the past year than in the previous five decades and added how she has had a 'spiritual awakening' and found an 'inner peace'. While family and friends have celebrated the milestone, with her daughter even offering to take her out for a meal, Ulrika admitted the lead-up to her one-year anniversary was filled with anxiety. She now lives one day at a time and accepts that recovery is a lifelong journey. It comes after Ulrika marked one year sober, sharing an emotional Instagram post about the milestone on Thursday. The TV star shared before and after photos, captioned 'sober' and 'drunk' as she told her 204k followers that 'the journey goes on.' 'Today I'm marking 1yr of sobriety,' Ulrika wrote. 'No fanfare, no medal, no trophy. The journey goes on. 'A huge thanks to all those beautiful people who have supported me; understood me; scooped me up and handled me tenderly and without judgement; who nudged me in the right direction; who made me laugh and helped me shed the crippling shame.' She paid tribute to her four children Cameron, 30, Bo, 25, Martha, 20, and Malcolm, 16, and apologised for the concern she has caused them over the years: 'Thank you to my kids for their support; for having faith in me after I must have worried them so.' 'For close friends for their patience and belief. My sobriety will continue to be my priority. Turns out it IS possible to teach old dogs new tricks. Alongside the before and after snaps, Ulrika shared a childhood photo of herself as well a poignant reminder of 'this day last year'. In December Ulrika marked her six months sober milestone, as she credited her loved ones for helping her get this far. In her post, the former Gladiators star shared a picture of herself presently as well as an older snap of herself 'under the influence of alcohol', which she admitted that she previously 'couldn't bear' to look at. 'A huge thanks to all those beautiful people who have supported me; understood me; scooped me up and handled me tenderly and without judgement, she captioned the post Alongside the before and after snaps, Ulrika shared a childhood photo of herself as well a poignant reminder of 'this day last year' Detailing her road to sobriety, Ulrika penned: 'Today I am 6 months sober. On the 5th June 2024, I had the gift of desperation and reached out for help. I no longer recognised myself and I surrendered. Referring to the image where she was 'drunk', Ulrika added: 'Pic. 2: is of me in the midst of the madness. Another drunk moment. At first I couldn't bear to look back at pictures of myself under the influence of alcohol. The cloak of shame was too heavy a burden. 'But now I look at those images and feel pity and sympathy for that girl - she desperately needed to be scooped up; held tightly and helped. Not shamed or judged. She was quite, quite broken and had no idea there was another way.' Concluding her post, she shared: 'There is so much more to say - and I will say it in time. I'm still very much at the beginning of my journey but my life has changed in a beautiful way. It's a spiritual thing. One day at a time….

Fans are still recovering from the news of Billie Piper's return - and now show legend David Tennant has now been tipped reunite with her onscreen for "one last hurrah". David, who played the role of the Doctor between from 2005 to 2010, is rumoured to be in talks to star in a one off special with co-star Billie. The actress previously appeared as Rose Tyler, companion to the doctor between 2005 and 2006. The pair recently reunited for the BBC special, Doctor Who: Unleashed, 20 Years in Wales where they reflected on their time together. In a sneak preview, Billie and David gushed over how much fun they had on set. Now, it looks like they could be having even more fun - by reuniting for a special anniversary episode. 'The BBC brought Doctor Who back in 2005 and there is talk about a possible one-off project to celebrate the 20th anniversary. David and Billie were a hugely popular partnership and he brought in the golden age of Doctor Who," a source told The Sun. "With the anniversary of the reboot this year there have been some ideas floated about with the idea of maybe bringing David and Billie back together for one last hurrah." It's not the first time David would be making a shock return. In November 2023, he was officially revealed as the Fourteenth Doctor before handing the role over to Ncuti Gatwa. Recently, Doctor Who fans were left stunned when it was announced Billie Piper had replaced Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, with the character regenerating during the finale of science-fiction series Doctor Who. Speaking about her return, Billie said: "It's no secret how much I love this show, and I have always said I would love to return to the Whoniverse as I have some of my best memories there, so to be given the opportunity to step back on that Tardis one more time was just something I couldn't refuse." In a statement released by the BBC, Ncuti Gatwa said: "You know when you get cast, at some point you are going to have to hand back that sonic screwdriver and it is all going to come to an end, but nothing quite prepares you for it. "This journey has been one that I will never forget, and a role that will be part of me forever. There are no words to describe what it feels like to be cast as the Doctor, nor are there words to explain what it feels like to be accepted into this iconic role that has existed for over 60 years and is truly loved by so many across the globe. "The fans are truly the final character and beating heart of this show, and I can't thank the Whoniverse, and the Whovians, enough for welcoming me in and making this such a touching experience. "I've loved every minute of it, but now is the time to hand over the keys to that beloved blue box and let someone else take control and enjoy it every bit as much as I have. I'll truly miss it, and forever be grateful to it, and everyone that has played a part in my journey as the Doctor."

She captioned her shots: "A little girls trip with Sue." Fans were quick to comment on her holiday snaps, with one saying: "Wow u look incredible". Another said: "Still stunning after all these years!" Louise found love again almost two years ago with boyfriend Drew, 41. Since then, they've appeared inseparable, often enjoying music events and spending their summers attending festivals, including Glastonbury and Boardmasters. If Louise hasn't been going to festivals, she's been performing at them, with the singer launching a comeback with her Greatest Hits celebrating her career to date. She's also just released her fifth solo album Confessions. The Strictly winner was with ex Jamie Redknapp for 20 years and they share two sons. 'What's great is (Drew) is brilliant on a friendship level with the boys,' she told The Sun last month. Louise Redknapp says she felt 'the lowest a human could get' when she split from husband Jamie and 'almost gave up' 'They get on great with him. And that, for me, is super-important. There's just a real mutual respect there. Obviously Beau is still at school, but we spend a lot of time together.' The nine-year age gap inevitably led to Drew being described as her 'toyboy' and Louise being referred to as a 'cougar'. But it's 'water off a duck's back,' she added. 'For me, age is irrelevant – within reason – but he's not 22. I think it's more about the person and the life experiences and the connection that's important.' However, Louise isn't thinking about walking down the aisle a second time. 'Oh, I'm not even thinking that far ahead. I'm not even going there. Manifesting is a real hint to Drew. 'I'm not going to lie and say it isn't. But it's also a life lesson to be present in the here and now, so I'm not thinking down the line. I'm enjoying my relationship, my kids, my album and my life." After their split her ex Jamie went on to marry model Frida Andersson in 2021. 5 Louise with boyfriend Drew Credit: Instagram
