Monday's episode of Coronation Street saw Mick Michaelis go on a furious rampage after finding out 16-year-old Brody might not be his biological son.
Mick turned violent as he demanded answers from wife Lou Michaelis about her past with their former pal, Kit Green.
Corrie viewers got an upsetting insight into Lou's domestic abuse from Mick - which left the residents on the cobbles worried for Lou's safety.
Meanwhile, Craig Tinker was determined to prove himself on the first day of his CID training.
He pulled over Mick at the Weatherfield Precinct for drink-driving.
Hellbent on getting revenge on Kit, Mick violently attacked Craig with a bat and left him for dead.
Wednesday's episode of the ITV soap will see Craig rushed to hospital and desperately try to make his police colleagues aware of who was responsible for attacking him.
Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith said: "I can't wait for people to see Craig's final scenes. It is exactly the exit I wanted for him and we are all really proud of what we filmed in those final weeks.
"It was actually great fun. I was walking around covered in fake blood for days and I was chuffed that I got to work with so many brilliant people in this final storyline."
Coronation Street's Colson Smith reveals which cobbles icon he filmed his final scenes with
Back in March, The Sun revealed how Colson's character Craig would be killed off in a dramatic storyline.
A source told us: "Craig has grown up on the street and he's become part of it so it was a tough decision to make but one that will be worth it.
"PC Tinker will meet his maker in heroic circumstances this summer and there won't be a dry eye in the house when it goes out.
"Colson is taking it well and there's a real feeling that this chapter is closing for him and there are bigger and brighter things ahead."
The 26-year-old actor was one of several stars who have been axed from the ITV soap.
Corrie is gearing up for a number of exits for some iconic characters this summer, including Eileen Grimhshaw is set to exit the cobbles with actress Sue Cleaver quitting the soap after an incredible 25 years.
The soap has already seen several characters depart the cobbles from the likes of Daisy Midgeley to Mason Radcliffe.
Coronation Street is facing a financial crisis due to soaring production costs, a decline in advertising revenue, and a drop in viewing figures, leading to budget cuts and cast departures.
Consequently, ITV is reducing the length of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale episodes from hour-long to 30-minute installments, starting in January 2026.
This change will create a "soaps power hour" where Emmerdale airs at 8pm, followed by Coronation Street at 8:30pm each weeknight.
But with ratings falling and viewers switching to streamers like Netflix, soap stars are fearing the axe - should they be worried?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.

Love Island fans call Islander a ‘red flag' as he makes shock dating admission

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LOVE Island fans are raising red flags after new Islander Connor Phillips made a jaw-dropping dating confession. The pro rugby-playing Irishman, 25, admitted he's only had one relationship experience - and fans argue it doesn't even count. As the pair got to know each other, Connor's lack of relationships raised alarms for Helena and viewers watching. Connor confessed: "To be honest, yeah, I've only had one girlfriend." Helena asked: "How long was that?" Connor replied: "I'd say, like, eight weeks." Helena couldn't resist laughing in his face, then asking: "How did it last eight weeks?" He added: "We were seeing each other for a while, but she was only my girlfriend for eight weeks. "And I think it's been two years since then, and I've grown a lot. So yeah, I feel like I'm kind of a bit ready now." But fans think this is a major red flag and it sparked a frenzy on X (formerly Twitter) as one said: "EIGHT WEEKS?? Oh Connor". Another added: "Only my girlfriend for 8 weeks". Love Island's TWO hunky new bombshells REVEALED A third penned: "Babe that does not count as a relationship #loveisland". Also in the episode, Conor's said he is looking for "someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic. I like dark eyes and I don't mind a dominant woman". When it comes to turn offs, he added: "Being too needy, or needing to do everything together. "I like someone to be independent and do their own thing and then we come together and do our thing." However, Connor broke the show rules before he even entered the villa, after he'd revealed he sought advice from past winner Greg O'Shea. Islanders are forbidden from revealing their involvement in the series before it starts. Fellow Irish rugby player Greg, 30, won series five alongside Amber Gill. Conor shared: "I know Greg through rugby circles so I spoke to him about going on Love Island. "He just said 'be yourself, it's a really really really cool experience that not many people get. "So enjoy it and yeah take it day by day and if you can be yourself you can't really go too far wrong'. "So that's my plan. He was like 'my advice might be a bit different from others because I won'." He added: "I'm 25 and I've only had one relationship and it wasn't very long. "So I feel like I'm maybe doing something wrong or maybe I'm not in the right places. "So, hopefully this is the right place, and it should be, you know, because you're in a lovely villa surrounded by beautiful people, so I'm hoping that this is the one." 5 Connor is currently coupled up with blonde beauty Helena Credit: ITV 5 Conor's said he is looking for "someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic" Credit: ITV

Loose Women star on 'worst thing' about ITV chat show - branding it 'ludicrous'

Carol McGiffin was one of Loose Women's original panellists, having first appeared on the series in 2000 before she quit in 2023 after she claimed she was 'unhappy' with her contract Loose Women's Carol McGiffin has lifted the lid on what she says was the worst part of working on the ITV talk show. The no-nonsense presenter, 65, was one of the show's original panellists, having first appeared on the series in 2000 before she left in 2023 after she claimed she was 'unhappy' with her contract. Carol, who was once married to TFI star, Chris Evans, was part of the Loose Women line-up for 20 years, on and off, and has now said that the show's 'strict dress' code left her 'exhausted'. Claiming show bosses had "ludicrous policies" for the ladies, she said: "I did Loose Women for almost 20 years and the mandated dress codes used to exhaust me." ‌ ‌ Speaking to Best magazine, she continued: "We went from wearing our own clothes to being bought stuff to adhere to ludicrous wardrobe policies like, 'No arms on show,' presumably because our ageing biceps were morphing into bingo wings, which the (male) boss at the time had decided were offensive. "Another female (!) boss once ordered all the women to wear high heels as well. I always loathed being 'dressed' or 'styled' as they preferred to call it." Carol also blasted ITV for getting rid of outfits that had "mostly" only been worn once by the presenters. She said: "You always had to be co-ordinated up to the eyeballs in nice slacks, wrap dresses or boiler suits. "It used to make me shudder, nearly as much as the insane amount of waste on unimaginable amounts of clothes that had mostly only been worn once." Carol first joined Loose Women in 2000 and remained on the show until 2013, and returned in 2018. Five years later she left the panel, claiming she was left 'upset' after being 'forced' into the decision due to being unhappy with her contract, which she claimed was "totally unjust and unworkable". ‌ Prior to Carol's departure, a disagreement is said to have broken out between the presenter and bosses at ITV over free speech and expression. During an interview with TNT talk radio, Carol said: "I always look back at when I started working in television and radio as the good old days because they were much less policed, I suppose. Much less restricted and it was a freer place to be. "When I look back at the old Loose Womens I used to do from 2000 all the way until I left in 2013, they're completely different. There is so much offence. People take so much offence at so much and they never used to." ‌ Tensions reportedly began to grow between Carol and her employer over comments she made in suggestion that the news organisation had been 'brainwashing' the public over the risks of coronavirus. The panellist also suggested that Matt Hancock attempted to import Covid patients to the UK from France to fill empty hospital beds as the pandemic was in full swing. In 2023, Carol confirmed that she would be parting ways with the ITV show after a two-month absence and insisted she was "upset" to leave.

The 1% Club fans up in arms as 'simple' word question wipes out 16 celeb contestants - but can YOU solve it?

Fans of The 1% Club were up in arms when a 'simple' word question wiped out 16 celebrity contestants. Saturday's instalment of the ITV quiz show, hosted by Lee Mack, was a Soccer Aid special and saw 100 stars attempt to win a whopping £100,000 for UNICEF. Celebrities including reality star Chris Hughes, Tommy Fury, former Love Islander Amber Gill and comic Paddy McGuinness. The 1% Club questions were put to the public, with the percentage who got them right determining the difficulty of each round. Aptly, the final question is one that just 1% of the public answered correctly. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. But during the special episode, some of the celebrities found the 70% question, which is supposed to be slightly easier, particularly tricky. It read: 'Which of these is an anagram of LIONEL MESSI?' The stars were presented with three anagrams: A) LONE MISSILE, B, LION IN SLIME and C, NO SMILES LEE. After 30 seconds, the correct answer was revealed to be A. 16 celebrities answered it wrong and Emmett J. Scanlan was one of the stars kicked out of the game. 'Mate, I was going to do A as well. I did B,' he quipped, before admitting it was a 'random guess' and he 'panicked'. Former footballer Stuart Pearce also got it incorrect and revealed he had put C, adding: 'Clock beat me, panic set in.' One watcher was shocked by how many were knocked out of the round and several fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the show.
