The Cleveland Browns are entering the 2025 NFL season with one of the most crowded and uncertain quarterback rooms in the league. After using two draft picks on promising young signal-callers, Dillon Gabriel in the third round and Shedeur Sanders in the fifth, the Browns have signaled a clear desire to find their next franchise quarterback.
However, with veterans Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco also competing, and star Deshaun Watson sidelined for the season with a torn Achilles, the battle for the starting QB spot is anything but settled.

Dillon Gabriel, taken in the third round, and Shedeur Sanders, a fifth-round pick, both bring promising skill sets but have yet to prove they can lead an NFL offense long-term. Gabriel's strong arm and pocket presence contrast with Sanders' exciting dual-threat ability and high-profile college career.
Meanwhile, Pickett and Flacco offer experience but are unlikely to be long-term answers. With Watson sidelined, the Browns have no clear-cut starter, making this quarterback competition one of the fiercest in the NFL.
Looking beyond 2025, the Browns may still be searching for stability at quarterback. College Football Network's Max Dorsey predicts Cleveland could select highly in the 2026 NFL Draft, targeting Clemson's Cade Klubnik, one of the top quarterback prospects.

Klubnik impressed in 2024 with 36 touchdown passes, only six interceptions, and a dynamic running ability that makes him a dual-threat talent. His steady improvement in footwork and composure makes him a likely first-round pick and a potential franchise quarterback.
If Gabriel and Sanders fail to meet expectations this season, the Browns might pivot to Klubnik next year, signaling another quarterback overhaul.
This uncertainty underscores the Browns' ongoing quarterback challenges and the high stakes of their 2025 roster decisions.

For Browns fans, the next season will be critical. Whether it's Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders, or a future star like Cade Klubnik, Cleveland's quarterback saga remains the defining story of the franchise's future and a must-watch drama in the NFL landscape.

‘First thing I did upon landing…': How Shashi Tharoor, other politicians reacted to RCB's maiden IPL victory

The streets of Bengaluru echoed with the sound of crackers and chants of 'Ee Sala Cup Namde' (this time the cup is ours) on Tuesday night, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru or RCB clinched their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title, ending an 18-year-long quest for the trophy. Excited fans and youth flooded the streets, celebrating the momentous win with firecrackers and spirited slogans, especially hailing star players like Virat Kohli. The celebrations were not just limited to fans — leaders across political parties took to social media to congratulate the team on their historic achievement. RCB secured the title with a narrow six-run win over Punjab Kings in the final held in Ahmedabad, putting an end to nearly two decades of anticipation. After finishing second in the group stage, RCB stormed into the final with a commanding eight-wicket victory in Qualifier 1 against table-toppers PBKS. Punjab Kings later defeated Mumbai Indians to reach their second-ever IPL final, where they once again fell short — this time to a determined RCB side. Tejaswi Surya and Shashi Tharoor cheer RCB from Washington DC: BJP MP Tejaswi Surya, who is part of India's multi-party delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, shared a video on X celebrating RCB's victory. He added, "I am with Shashi Tharoor, who is also an RCB supporter." Both leaders expressed their joy in the video and called the win a momentous occasion. He posted: 'Congratulations to Royal Challengers Bengaluru on a historic IPL triumph. The dream has finally come true – Ee Sala Cup Namde!' 'Did Virat Kohli cook Rohit Sharma?': RCB great's bold 'Impact Player' stance after IPL 2025 win stirs the internet

After failing to lift the IPL trophy in 17 seasons, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's long wait for a maiden triumph ended on Tuesday night in Ahmedabad, with Virat Kohli at the heart of it all. The veteran batter, who has been the face of the franchise since its early years, couldn't hold back his joy after RCB edged out Punjab Kings by six runs in a nerve-racking final. Kohli was visibly emotional even before the victory, as tears rolled out of his eyes during the final over once RCB were mathematically confirmed to win the title. He was interviewed by Matthew Hayden following the match, where Kohli discussed in detail about the triumph and his future with the RCB. He remains the only player to have played for a single franchise since the tournament's inception, and Kohli said he wants to 'give everything on the field' for RCB until his last match, whenever it may be. Interestingly, Kohli also made a sharp comment on the 'Impact Player' rule, stating that he cannot imagine being one. 'Well, I have an opportunity to play this game for not many years. So there is an end date to our career, as you know. And by the time that I hang up my boots, I want to sit at home and say I gave it everything I had. So I look for ways to improve. I cannot play as an impact player. I want to field 20 overs and make an impact in the field. That is the kind of player I have been. And God blessed me with that perspective, with the talent. And then you find different ways to help the team,' Kohli said in the post-match presentation. Interestingly, Rohit Sharma, one of IPL's leading names and the league's second-highest run-scorer, has largely been used as an Impact Player in the 2025 season. Rohit took to the field on rare occasions for MI in the season, as he largely watched the proceedings from the dugout during the side's fielding innings. The fans were quick to relate the two. The RCB great's praise for the franchise was equally emphatic. After the win, many players, including captain Rajat Patidar and vice-captain Jitesh Sharma, stated that they wanted to win the trophy for Kohli. 'This management, this group of players, has been outstanding, to be honest. They have gotten the right kind of players, match winners, people who take the game on. In the auction, a lot of people questioned our tactics. But by day two, we were very happy with what we had. And we had a lot of confidence in the strength of this group," Kohli said. "I want to give a big shout-out to this team. It would not have been possible without each and every one in the squad, in the playing XI, the management backing the players, keeping us positive throughout when the going got tough. So it is everyone's. I do not want to stand here and talk about myself. There is a lot that is spoken about me already. This win is for Bangalore. And it is for each and every one of the players, and the families, and the whole management as well,' he concluded. Earlier in the match, RCB posted 190/9 thanks to contributions from Kohli (43), Patidar, Jitesh, and Livingstone. PBKS fell just short in response, losing by 6 runs despite a blazing final over hitting by Shashank Singh.
