Rob Gronkowski Fears Jordon Hudson Might Become A 'Distraction' For Bill Belichick And UNC
Rob Gronkowski, one of Bill Belichick's former players, has recently shared his feelings about the legendary coach's personal life.
In an interview, Gronkowski, a former New England Patriot, commented on the controversy surrounding Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson, admitting it might come back to bite the 73-year-old in the future.
Gronkowski Admits Bill Belichick's Girlfriend Might Become A 'Distraction' For The UNC Football Program
While appearing on the 98.5 The Sports Hub show, Gronkowski touched on the headlines surrounding Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Hudson.

When the host mentioned some of the drama his former coach has faced, especially after the controversial CBS interview, Gronkowski said he's reflected on what Belichick used to tell him.
"You know, and in the back of your head, too, you're just thinking to yourself as well, 'When you were on the Patriots, the whole goal was to eliminate all the distractions that can possibly happen while you're on the team," he said.
The four-time Super Bowl champion continued, "And don't bring those distractions to the team and in the locker room, and we're just looking down at the program in North Carolina, and it feels like there are just distractions 24/7 down there. There's no football talk as well."
Was Belichick's Girlfriend Banned From The UNC Campus?
Gronkowski's statements came days after Pablo Torre, a popular sportswriter and podcaster, shared the news that Hudson had allegedly been banned from part of UNC's campus.

According to him, "higher-ups" at the university decided in early May 2025 that the 24-year-old, who recently placed third in the Miss Maine USA competition, wouldn't be allowed inside any of their football buildings or on the football field.
"There is deep worry for how detrimental Jordon can be for not just North Carolina but Bill's legacy, reputation," a source reportedly told Torre. "Don't think you'll be hearing much from [her] moving forward," another source said.
UNC Denied The Claims And Welcomed Bill Belichick And His Girlfriend

Shortly after, university officials denied the claims and said they welcomed Hudson on their campus and inside UNC's football facilities.

"While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities," the statement read.
They went on to say that Hudson would "continue [managing] all activities" related to Belichick's "personal brand."
Torre shot back on X, defending his earlier reporting. He added that he and his team "stand by the specific reporting in our episode," claiming his quote came "from the highest levels of the football program."
Gronkowski Defended Bill Belichick With Another Player On A Different Podcast
Prior to Gronkowski's statements on The Sports Hub, the iconic NFL tight end defended Belichick with Julian Edelman on the Dude on Dude podcast.

"People are giving an unfair reality of what's going on," Edelman said about Hudson and Belichick's infamous CBS interview, in which the pageant contestant interrupted journalist Tony Dokoupil to shut down a question about their relationship.
"She was jumping into that conversation during the interview just like any PR person would jump in when there's an unnecessary question that probably didn't go over in the pre-production meeting," he continued.
He went on to describe the judgment toward their relationship as "unfair" before mentioning that Hudson was working with Belichick "in the professional world."
Gronkowski agreed, calling Hudson Belichick's "representative."

In the comment section of the Dude on Dude podcast's official Instagram, netizens replied to Edelman and Gronk's comments and shared their differing perspectives.

"Respect the loyalty, Jules, but this ain't a good look for Bill," one user said, while another said, "I don't know about this one, fellas."
"This is embarrassing, Julian," said a third poster. "Would be better to say nothing than to bend over backwards defending it."
A fourth commenter said, "It's ok to realize [the] people you have looked up to may not be who you thought they were."
"Do you guys realize there is a 45-year age difference?" questioned a fifth person. "She has no experience in media or football operations. I appreciate you guys standing up for BB, but I would leave this alone."

Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua
Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Rams have retooled quite quickly after they went 5-12 in 2022 just one season after they won the Super Bowl championship. Advertisement They have won 10 games and made the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and thanks to the addition of wide receiver Davante Adams and a cadre of young studs, they have high hopes for this fall and winter. Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, could end up being an upgrade over the outgoing Cooper Kupp, and fellow Rams wideout Puka Nacua said that Adams is already having a positive effect on his new team. "The positive impact has already been felt from Davante," Nacua said. Adams, in turn, returned the favor on Instagram. "Special dude," his caption read. Davante Adams, Instagram Adams made his name as a member of the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021 alongside future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A second-round draft pick in 2014 out of Fresno State, the Northern California native grew into Rodgers' favorite target within a few years. New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams© Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Last year, Adams was shipped at midseason to the New York Jets, where he was reunited with Rodgers. Although the Jets went just 5-12, he still managed to catch 85 passes and post 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns. The Rams are hoping that at age 32, he still has plenty left in his tank. Assuming he does, he could turn them into a true dark horse team in an improved NFC and make the race for the conference more interesting. Stefon Diggs Makes Strong Statement on Monday After Personal Event
Stefon Diggs Makes Strong Statement on Monday After Personal Event originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Lately, during OTAs, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been getting himself acclimated to the New England Patriots, his new team for the upcoming season. Advertisement He has looked to build chemistry with promising young quarterback Drake Maye, and he's hoping to bounce back after his 2024 season was cut short by a torn ACL. After the Patriots' OTAs ended last week, they started their mandatory minicamp on Monday. Diggs found some time to hold his annual day camp for kids, and he made a statement about the event on his Instagram account. "Family, Football, and FUN!!!!" he wrote. "This was year 4 of my annual Diggs day camp. It's crazy watching these kids grow up right before our eyes. Thankful for everyone who played a part in the camps success.. let's keep going ❤️❤️❤️❤️" It may be easy to forget after his frustrating and disappointing 2024 season, but before that, Diggs was one of the NFL's very best wideouts. Dec 31, 2023; Orchard Park, New York, USA; Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs (14) is tackled by New England Patriots defensive end Lawrence Guy Konezny-USA TODAY Sports From 2018 to 2023, he posted over 1,000 receiving yards each year, and he was named to the Pro Bowl four straight times from 2020 to 2023. Once the Minnesota Vikings traded him to the Buffalo Bills in 2020, he helped make the Bills into bona fide Super Bowl contenders. Advertisement But there were rumors of a rift between him and the team during his final season in Buffalo, and he was dealt to Houston last offseason. In eight games last season, he posted 47 catches, 496 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He's now a member of a rebuilding New England squad that is looking to get out of the post-Tom Brady wilderness. It will likely miss the playoffs again this winter, but it is hoping Diggs can help guide it back to respectability not too long from now. World Cup host city organizers acknowledge immigration crackdown may impact next year's tournament
NEW YORK -- Philadelphia's host city executive for the 2026 World Cup says organizers accept that an immigration crackdown by President Donald Trump's administration may be among the outside events that impact next year's tournament. "There are certainly things that are happening at the national level, the international level, there are going to be geopolitical issues that we don't even know right now that are going affect the tournament next year, so we recognize that we're planning within uncertainty,' Meg Kane said Monday at a gathering of the 11 U.S. host city leaders, one year and two days ahead of the tournament opener. The World Cup will be played at 16 stadiums in the U.S., Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19 next year, a tournament expanded to 48 nations and 104 games. All matches from the quarterfinals on will be in the U.S., with the final at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. 'Whether it's the Olympics, whether it's a World Cup, whether it's a Super Bowl, you name it, anytime you've got a major international sporting event, geopolitics is going to have a role,' said Alex Vasry, CEO of the New York/New Jersey host committee. Kane said the host committees must adapt to decisions made by others. 'One of the things that I think we all recognize is that we have to be really good at operating within that uncertainty,' Kane said. 'I think for each of our cities, we want to be prepared to make any person that is coming and makes the decision to come to the United States or come to this World Cup feel that they are welcome. We do not play a role necessarily in what is happening in terms of the decisions that are made.' Trump's travel ban on citizens from 12 countries exempted athletes, coaches, staff and relatives while not mentioning fans. 'We allow for FIFA to continue having constructive conversations with the administrations around visas, around workforce, around tourism,' Kane said. FIFA is running the World Cup for the first time without a local organizing committee in the host nation. Asked in late April whether FIFA president Gianni Infantino was available to discuss the tournament, FIFA director of media relations Bryan Swanson forwarded the request to a member of the media relations staff, who did not make Infantino available. Legislation approved by the House of Representatives and awaiting action in the Senate would appropriate $625 million to the Federal Emergency Management Agency 'for security, planning, and other costs related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.' The 11 U.S. host committees have been consulting with each other on issues such as transportation for teams and VIPs, and for arranging fan fests. At the last major soccer tournament in the U.S., the 2024 Copa America final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, started 82 minutes late after fans breached security gates. 'Certainly we were not involved in the planning or the logistics for that particular match,' said Alina Hudak, CEO of the Miami World Cup host committee. She said local police 'have done an extensive review of the after-action reports related to that in collaboration with the stadium and so all of the things that happened are in fact being reviewed and addressed and I can assure you that everything is being done within our power to make sure that the appropriate measures are being placed, the appropriate perimeters.'
