Emmerdale fans 'work out' secret murder - but John's not the killer
There's a new murder theory being shared by Emmerdale fans, after a recent death on the ITV soap.
A character named Owen was recently killed off on the show, left to die by killer John Sugden who then framed him for Nate Robinson's murder. Owen was later found dead with his 'confession' believed by the police.
It comes months on from fans finding out John had accidentally killed Nate back in September before dumping his body in the lake. After the body was found a few months ago, John took action to cover his tracks before recently setting up Owen as the killer.
Robert Sugden, John's brother, was surprised to find out Owen's guilt given weeks ago the newcomer drugged him on a date. So when he realised John had been at Owen's home the day before he was found dead it set off alarm bells.
Owen's sudden death and the confession all happening just after the spiking too left Robert suspicious. The John connection has now left him convinced he is to blame and has framed Owen, cos Robert knows for a fact that Owen didn't kill Nate.
Robert knows this because he met with Owen's brother Steve, and found out Owen had an alibi for the night Nate left the village, or was believed to have. So the day Nate died, his 'killer' Owen was with Steve committing a crime.
Steve told Robert the pair had been doing something illegal, which is why he had not come forward. He had no intention of clearing his brother's name, even threatening Robert despite it being proof Owen was not the killer.
But some fans think there's even more to the tale, and that there's a different reason why Steve wants to stay quiet. Seeing his dark behaviour and some of the comments he made about Owen to Robert, fans think he might have caused Owen's death and made it look like an accident.
Fans are speculating that something happened with the crime they were committing, and maybe Owen went to spill the beans or Steve got greedy with whatever payment there may have been. Taking to social media one fan said: "I think Steve killed Owen. No other logical reason for him to threaten Robert and say 'stop digging.'
"If the police realise Owen didn't commit suicide, then they will question the validity of the suicide note and start listening to Robert." Another fan said: "Interesting theory! We have been shown that Steve was grossed out by Owen's sexual orientation, that dislike could very well go much deeper."

A third fan commented: "Maybe they got a lot of money from a dodgy job but Steve didn't want to split it with Owen so he killed him so he'd keep all the money, and also because they were related maybe Owen's death would lead to Steve inheriting all of Owen's stuff."
Another fan said: "Maybe Owen threatened to tell someone what they'd done and his brother had to silence him. Something just feels off - WHY would you let your brother be framed for murder if you KNOW he can't have done it?"

Who is Tia Wardley in Coronation Street? True identity 'solved' in Lisa twist
Coronation Street fans think they know who Tia Wardley really is after Carla Connor was given the name by Logan Radcliffe after asking about Lisa Swain's late wife Becky Tia Wardley in Coronation Street has certainly got viewers speculating over their mystery identity. The name was mentioned on Friday, and it was hinted they were linked to the case surrounding Becky Swain's demise. Lisa Swain is still struggling to move past the death of her police officer wife Becky years earlier, even looking into the case. It comes after suggestion earlier this year that Becky may have been a corrupt officer, leading to her possibly being killed. Becky died in the line of duty, hit by a car which was later revealed to have been driven by Logan and Matty Radcliffe. It was their hints about Becky that left Lisa fearing Becky was in trouble and may have deliberately been killed. But as she and others went snooping this week, she was stopped by her superior DI Costello who clearly knows more than he's letting on. He won't go into matters with Lisa and threatened punishment when he caught her looking at files on his computer. With Carla Connor trying to help her parnter Lisa get the answer she desperately needs, she went to see Logan in prison. All Logan would say was the name Tia Wardley, demanding money for any new information. But something happened to Logan before anyone would have the chance to see him again. It was because of the chat with Carla and the name he'd shared that he learned from a cellmate how he'd upset a "mutual friend". It seems Logan then got a beating or worse, with fans convinced he may be dead. So who is Tia, and why are so many people covering up what went down? Why is Costello so eager to silence any investigation into Becky's death, and why is it so important that Logan doesn't spill anything about Becky, or even the mystery Tia? Fans think it has everything to do with Tia's identity, and that she and Becky may be linked. In fact fans think Becky isn't actually dead, and she could have been given a new identity. Fans are wondering if Tia is Becky under a new name, and that there is much more to be exposed. Perhaps this is why Logan mentioned the name, or maybe why Costello is possibly covering things up. Could that be Becky's cover name if she was corrupt?" A third fan said: "Becky is 'Tia Wardley'?" A fourth fan posted: "Tia Wardley will be Becky?!" as another agreed: "Could 'Tia Wardley' be Becky's new identity since after she 'died'?" The comments kept on coming too, with one fan writing: "Becky swain is Tia Wardley." A final comment said: "Becky is in witness protection and Tia Wardley is her alias, that's why Carla couldn't find anything and why they don't want Lisa AND Kit digging."

Willy Wonka child star reveals how much he still earns from film and surprising career choice
The child star who played Charlie in Gene Wilder's 1971 hit film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory still makes a small amount of money from the film after choosing a totally different career Child star Peter Ostrum still makes royalties from his role as Charlie in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 54 years after it was released in 1971. Although Ostrum was one of the classic movie's lead characters, alongside Gene Wilder, he completely turned his back on acting, and instead chose a very different career. Ostrum, now 67, is a retired veterinarian, and is a father of two. He never starred in another film, making his role as Charlie his one and only acting job. In an interview at a screening of the movie at his local Snowtown Film Festival in 2018, he was asked if he makes any money from his short-lived acting career. Due to residuals from screenings of the film on TV, he revealed he gets a cheque for roughly $8 to $9 every few months, despite the Johnny Depp remake making half a billion dollars. It comes after reports Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue. During the same interview, he revealed that his wife, Loretta M. Lepkowski, had no idea he had been a small part of Hollywood history when she met him. She said: 'Once I saw it, I realised — 'Wow, he had a major part.'' He spoke about the reception of the movie, which he described as "lukewarm" at the time. Despite having major film star Gene Wilder as the titular character, he said people simply "forgot about it", with it making around $4million at the box office. During a 2021 virtual reunion hosted by Yahoo, Ostrum said: "You can't kill Wonka. It just gets played over and over again, whether the original or the remake with Johnny Depp. "And that brought attention back to our film. Kids saw Johnny Depp's version, their parents said, 'You need to see the original.' "Anything that talks about Wonka is good for the Wonka story. It's a great story and it needs to be retold, regardless of who's producing it or who's making it.' Peter revealed how his life went straight back to normal after he finished filming the movie. Speaking to the Mirror in 2013, Peter said: "I get calls every time there's a new version of the story or some fresh look at the film. You can't kill Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... it keeps resurfacing in different formats. 'We had no idea at the time that it would have any kind of success at all so it's pretty neat that it is still so loved. I know my kids have read it and they liked it.' He added: "I have a great affection for the story idea that if you are honest and hardworking and do the right thing, good things happen to you." Although he went on to get an offer for a three-film deal, he turned it down as he hated spending time away from home. Peter said said: 'I enjoyed doing it but I couldn't really see myself doing it for the rest of my life. How many kids carry a successful child acting career into an adult acting career? "The Jodie Fosters and Ron Howards you can count on one hand. I think I just played myself in the film – in real life I am a horrible singer and they told me that they weren't going to use my voice but they did. 'Acting was fine, but I wanted something more steady. The key is to find something you love doing, and that's what I got."

Daniel Craig's best James Bond movie is available to stream on ITV now
A James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig that has been described as the most 'visually stunning' in the franchise is now available to stream on a major UK platform. In what is a huge win for devoted 007 fans, Skyfall has arrived on ITVX more than a decade after its release in 2012. Starring Javier Barden, Judie Dench and Ralph Fiennes, the thriller was a smash hit amongst fans and critics. It was also the third of Craig's performances, directed by Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, who is known for 1917 and American Beauty, and shot by Roger Deakins. Taking to social media, @CinemaTweets1 said: 'Javier Bardem's performance as Raoul Silva is my favorite James Bond villain ever. Skyfall honestly feels like a stand-alone film or outlier from the rest of the Bond series given the creative decisions made by Sam Mendes. Bardem is also a big reason- he's a worthy adversary.' @BestMovieMom added: 'Skyfall will remain the most visually stunning James Bond film for a long time.' @Danimalish also said: 'Whenever I watch SKYFALL I'm convinced I'm watching the best James Bond film. 'From Daniel Craig's steely performance to the incredible supporting cast including Judi Dench, to of course Roger Deakins' immaculate cinematography. This was the peak of the Daniel Craig era.' Meanwhile, @TheCinesthetic wrote: 'As the third film in Craig's run, Skyfall isn't just a great Bond film…it's a visual triumph. Roger Deakins turned espionage into art.' The film follows Bond as he pursues an assassin in Istanbul to retrieve a stolen list containing the identities of undercover agents. However, the plan goes disastrously wrong, leaving Chief M (Dench) forced to take drastic action. The espionage thriller was nominated for five Oscars and went on to claim two of them for Best Sound Editing and Best Original Song, which was given to Adele. Its move on to ITVX comes as ITV dropped all episodes of a gripping crime thriller that fans hailed as 'phenomenal'. The tense eight-episode drama, Under the Bridge, has finally landed on ITV for viewers to watch for free in the UK, and you are in for an emotional rollercoaster. The 2024 series stars Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone opposite Daisy Jones and the Six actor Riley Keough. More Trending Elsewhere in the James Bond universe, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was named as the screenwriter for the latest Bond film. Amazon MGM onfirmed on social media on Thursday night that Knight will pen the script for the next instalment. The announcement follows an intensive search by Amazon MGM, which gained full creative control of the Bond series earlier this year from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Skyfall is available to watch on ITVX. Got a story?
