Dolphins Ecstatic to Have Trio of Pass Rushers Healthy
The Miami Dolphins have three dynamic pass rushers, who are all expected to be healthy heading into the 2025 season.

According to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN, this is the first time that Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, and 2024 first-round pick Chop Robinson have all practiced together.
"I feel myself smiling," Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said. "I think having you know both Bradley and Jaelan back is something... it's a different presence that I think has been understated and has been gigantic."
Chubb missed all of last season recovering from multiple torn ligaments in his knee, while Phillips missed much of 2024 with a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
The trio of defenders have all flashed their pass rushing abilities, with Chubb as the most established player in the group and Robinson taking the role of the rising star.

Chubb says he is excited about the chance to work in rotation with Robinson and Phillips.

"Sitting down with Chop, seeing when he started to turn it on, I [was] just smiling from ear to ear because I know the potential we had," Chubb said. "I know when 'JP' got back, once I got back, it was going to be a lot of thinking for the offensive side to do."
Robinson racked up six sacks last season, but Legwold says he was one of the best pass rushers in the NFL in the final 11 weeks of the season, with the third-highest quarterback pressure rate in the league during that span.
Phillips had 6.5 sacks in eight games before going down with a torn Achilles in 2023, and Chubb had 11 sacks before getting hurt in Week 17 of the same season.
The potential is clearly there, it will just be a matter of health for a group of edge rushers that could surprise some people as one of the best in the NFL.

LA 2028 to sell venue name rights in Olympic first
Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics will sell naming rights for some competition venues to "unlock an additional revenue stream" in a move that breaks with Games tradition of forbidding brand names on stadiums and arenas. In a statement released on Thursday, LA28 organizers said the "landmark change" will apply to featured venues in support of the "largest commercial revenue raise in sports". "From the moment we submitted our bid, LA28 committed to reimagining what's possible for the Games," LA28 chairperson and president Casey Wasserman said in a statement. "Today's historic announcement delivers on that promise, creating the first-ever venue naming rights program in Olympic and Paralympic history while advancing LA28's mission of a fully privately funded and no-new-build Games." Contracts are already in place with automaker Honda, an LA28 sponsor which already has the naming rights for the Anaheim, California, arena that will host volleyball, and with media and technology company Comcast -- which will have its name on the temporary squash venue. As previously announced, Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles will host boxing and weightlifting. Wasserman said the "groundbreaking partnerships" will generate revenue beyond what is already budgeted and "will introduce a new commercial model to benefit the entire (Olympic) movement". "We're grateful to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for making this transformation possible," he added. Naming rights for up to 19 temporary venues will be available, with the IOC's sponsorship partners and LA28 partners having a chance to put their names on Games venues. Companies that already have their names on such Olympic venues as SoFi Stadium and Arena "will have the opportunity to keep existing venue naming rights during Games time", Wasserman indicated. Josh Jacobs becomes third Packers player on 'NFL Top 100 Players' list for 2025
Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs became the third member of the Green Bay Packers to land on the "NFL Top 100 Players" list for the 2025 season. Jacobs, who came in at No. 33, joins quarterback Jordan Love (No. 68) and defensive end Rashan Gary (No. 80) on the list. During his first season in Green Bay, Jacobs rushed for 1,329 yards (sixth in NFL) and 15 touchdowns (fourth). Counting receiving stats, Jacobs had 1,671 total yards (sixth) and 16 touchdowns (fifth) across 17 games. He was a Pro Bowler the third time in his career and finished 11th in the NFL Offensive Player of the Year voting at the Associated Press. It's likely Jacobs isn't the final Packer on the list. McKinney, an All-Pro at safety during his first season in Green Bay, still hasn't been announced.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it was accepted that this was a one-year rental and the team wanted to make a push for the Super Bowl. Then, once Rodgers rides off into the sunset, the Steelers will begin the rebuild at the position via the 2026 NFL draft. Mendoza isn't there yet, but I saw a lot of positives—including a snappy release, excellent touch, and a plus arm—in his tape this summer. In this scenario, the first three quarterbacks off the board are Clemson's Cade Klubnik, LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, and South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers. If Mendoza backs up his tape from the end of last season with continued improvement in 2025, he will absolutely belong in this group. I'd actually put him ahead of Nussmeier at this point just based on measurables but their games are very similar.
