Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola is going to be a mom!
The Jersey Shore star, 37, is pregnant and expecting her first baby with her fiancé Justin May. The couple shared the happy news via a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Feb. 23, with Giancola writing, "We've been keeping a little secret… ✨Baby May Due August 2025✨🤰🏻."
She then reflected on the couple's journey to this moment.
"After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!" she continued. "We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can't wait to meet you baby! 🫶🏼🥹💕."
The posted featured a series of photos of Giancola and May posing together while holding a strip of ultrasound photos of their baby. A final image shows a sweet setup on the sand at the beach — perhaps a nod to Giancola's many years filming her reality series on the New Jersey coast — featuring a teddy bear, balloons, a basket of white daisies, an ultrasound photo and a framed sign announcing the baby.
In the comments of the post, Giancola's friend and Jersey Shore costar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi shared her excitement over the news, writing: "So so so happy for you both!!! You deserve it all my loves!!!"

The reality star's pregnancy announcement comes just months after Giancola opened up about the "devastating" miscarriage she experienced before she and May got engaged on March 16, 2024.
In a confessional in the Nov. 21 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Giancola explained that the pair learned that she was no longer pregnant after a failed round of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Although she did become pregnant, the embryo did not survive, and she had a miscarriage.

"This has been a very long process. It's been a lot of shots, it's been a lot of hormones," she continued in the confessional. "Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away. It's devastating for me."
Giancola went on to praise May for lovingly supporting her through the ups and downs of the couple's IVF journey.
"He's so positive and uplifting," she said. "He's so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He's been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him."
When May popped the question last year, Giancola said it was "the easiest question I've ever answered" in an Instagram post announcing their engagement.
"Happiest & luckiest girl in the world 😭. I'll love you forever and then some," she added in the caption. "Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

LAS VEGAS -- LAS VEGAS (AP) — Khaby Lame, the world's most popular TikTok personality with millions of followers, has left the U.S. after being detained by immigration agents in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was detained Friday at Harry Reid International Airport but was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed in a statement. Lame arrived in the U.S. on April 30 and 'overstayed the terms of his visa,' the ICE spokesperson said. The Associated Press sent a message seeking comment Tuesday to the email address listed on Lame's Instagram account. He has not publicly commented on his detainment. His detainment and voluntary departure from the U.S. comes amid President Donald Trump's escalating crackdown on immigration, including raids in Los Angeles that sparked days of protests against ICE, as the president tests the bounds of his executive authority. A voluntary departure — which was granted to Lame — allows those facing removal from the U.S. to avoid a deportation order on their immigration record, which could prevent them from being allowed back into the U.S. for up to a decade. The 25-year-old rose to international fame during the pandemic without ever saying a word in his videos, which would show him reacting to absurdly complicated 'life hacks." He has over 162 million followers on TikTok alone. The Senegal-born influencer moved to Italy when he was an infant with his working class parents and has Italian citizenship. Billy Joel is reliving some of the most painful moments in his life. In the upcoming documentary, "Billy Joel: And So It Goes," the "Piano Man" crooner, 76, recalled the moment his first wife, Elizabeth Weber, walked away from their marriage shortly after his near-fatal motorcycle crash. "I always romanticized motorcycles. There's something about it. I feel like I can be completely disconnected from the world. There's a sense of freedom about that," Joel said in the doc, per People. "I on many occasions said to him, you know, 'You can't do this, this is dangerous,'" she said. In 1982, Joel suffered multiple injuries after his bike crashed into a vehicle mid-intersection. "I was amazed I was still alive. I should have died in that accident," he said. "And I laid there in shock for a couple of minutes and I went to the hospital." The accident left him with a broken arm, leg and wrist. While he recovered in the hospital, Weber opted out of the marriage. "I would've stayed, I would've been able — like so many women before me — to make that accommodation for someone you love ,but there was no way that I could stand by and watch him kill himself," said Weber, who recalled placing the house key onto a tray in his hospital room. "I just didn't have that in me. And I felt very strongly that that's what was going." When Weber left the hospital, she recalled telling Joel, "You know, someday they may write about us and I hope that they say that we really did something." According to her, Joel responded with, "I hope they could say we went all the way." She added, "And that was it. That really was the final. That was it." The couple were married from 1973 until 1982. "After 'Glass Houses' came out I was always on the road, working, working, I look back on that guy and I don't even know who he was, he had to be so ambitious to work that hard and work that much," Joel said in the documentary. "So, it must have not been easy to be married to me at the time." "I wasn't asking him to change, but I just did not want to live like that. My response to it was to get a place in New York City where you can enjoy anonymity — so it wasn't so much as we separated, but we started to get a little bit isolated from one another and I also knew that he wasn't in a good place. We were all under a lot of stress," Weber said. "All of us dealt with our stresses in different ways. And so there was a lot, a lot of alcohol use and eventually a lot of drug use." When the musician was in his early 20s, Joel was part of a band called Attila with his best friend, Jon Small, who was married to Weber at the time. He ended up moving in with Small, Weber, and their son, according to People. "Bill and I spent a lot of time together," Weber confessed in the documentary, per People. She added that their friendship was gradual and a "slow build." Joel eventually told his best friend, "I'm in love with your wife." "I felt very, very guilty about it. They had a child. I felt like a homewrecker," Joel admitted in the documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday. "I was just in love with a woman, and I got punched in the nose, which I deserved. Jon was very upset. I was very upset." Joel's sister shared in the film that she was working as a medical assistant and gave him sleeping pills to help with the restless nights. During Joel's second attempt at suicide, he ingested "lemon Pledge," a furniture polish. Miraculously, he survived both attempts, after Small rushed him to the hospital.
