Rahul does not know 'F' of foreign policy but keeps raising questions: BJP
BJP national spokesperson Ajay Alok also hit back at the Congress leader for his "circus" jibe at the government's handling of the China issue after External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying he does not know "F of foreign policy" but keeps raising questions.
Mr. Alok said, "When our Foreign Minister goes to China for the SCO meeting and if he does not meet his Chinese counterpart and the country's president, then who will he meet? Italy's prime minister?" Tagging a media report on Mr. Jaishankar calling on Mr. Xi and apprising him of the recent development in India-China ties, Mr. Gandhi said on Tuesday, the External Affairs Minister was "running a full-blown circus aimed at destroying India's foreign policy".
"I guess the Chinese Foreign Minister will come and apprise Modi about recent developments in China-India ties. The EAM is now running a full-blown circus aimed at destroying India's foreign policy," Mr. Gandhi had said.
Two days after a Lucknow court granted bail to Gandhi following his appearance in a defamation case filed over his remarks "against" the armed forces, Alok accused the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha of being a "habitual liar and offender".
He said Mr. Gandhi has often made disparaging remarks against the armed forces, and cited his comments like "khoon ki dalali" and "Chinese are beating up our soldiers" to attack him.
Amid the RSS' call to rethink the insertion of words 'secular' and 'socialist' in the Constitution's preamble during the Emergency, Alok said it must be debated in the country as the amendment was an "insult" to B R Ambedkar and was done when opposition leaders were in jail.

Hyderabad: The first phase of the 'Janahitha padayatra' by AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud will begin on July 31 in Rangareddy district and continue till Aug 4. NEW DELHI: BJP Lok Sabha members on Wednesday raised questions over the conduct of former PM Indira Gandhi during the 1971 war with Pakistan, claiming she had "literally begged" then US President Richard Nixon's to intervene. In a letter to Speaker Om Birla, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused LoP Rahul Gandhi of using "distorted and inaccurate facts", a day after the Congress neta said if PM Modi had "even 50% courage of Indira", then he must announce that US President Trump is a liar and did not force the Operation Sindoor "ceasefire". NEW DELHI: EAM S Jaishankar Wednesday took a swipe at Congress netas pretending to have expertise on India's bilateral ties with China, calling them "China gurus" while countering their claims that Pakistan and China have come closer in recent years. He said the two have come close over decades as earlier Congress regimes left the land of POK between them. Intervening during the discussion on Operation Sindoor in Rajya Sabha, Jaishankar dismissed opposition's questions on whether US President Trump brokered the ceasefire, saying there was no call between PM Modi and Trump between April 22 and June 16.
