He reviewed the "Iktafa" model as one of the pioneering initiatives in sustainable agricultural production, contributing to food security and enhancing environmental sustainability.

He also pointed out that the second theme highlighted The American University and its role in enhancing talent, where Professor Abdul Latif Al-Shamsi, Academic Advisor in Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi's office, provided a comprehensive overview of the importance of academic education in skill development and building future competencies. He emphasised that universities play a crucial role in preparing the next generations through advanced educational programs that align with labor market needs.

Major General Abdullah bin Amer added that the third theme addressed "The Big Heart Foundation and Leadership in Humanitarian Work," presented by Her Excellency Aliya Obaid Al-Masebee, Director of the Big Heart Foundation. She highlighted the foundation's contributions to humanitarian work both locally and internationally, affirming that sustainability in charitable work is a fundamental pillar for enhancing community development and providing support to those in need worldwide.
An annual platform for thought leaders and innovators
He confirmed that the Ramadan Excellence Majliss have become an annual platform gathering thought leaders and innovators to enhance integration between sectors and exchange experiences, supporting Sharjah's vision for sustainable development and institutional leadership. He noted that the session witnessed extensive interaction from attendees, while the Sharjah Police reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and sustainability through events that support innovation and knowledge-sharing across various fields.

High customer satisfaction and leadership initiatives His Highness rviewed the customer satisfaction rate of 97.8% and was informed about progress in digital transformation, intellectual property, employee satisfaction, and strategic partnerships. Tour of the Operations Department facilities The Deputy Ruler toured the Operations Department, equipped with AI-based systems to manage security reports and tasks. He also learned about network integration with traffic cameras across the emirate. Reports Management Centre overview His Highness received a detailed briefing on the Reports Management Centre, including 999 emergency report platforms, 24/7 monitoring systems, patrol coordination platforms, and early warning systems for gold and money exchange stores. Visit to 901 Call Management Centre He was introduced to the 901 Call Management Centre, which handles non-emergency inquiries and enhances communication between police and the public. Simulation rooms for police training The tour concluded with a visit to simulation rooms designed to train police personnel in managing real-time reports effectively. UAE: First rose water made from Mohammadi and Taifi roses unveiled in Sharjah

The first successful local production of rose water in Sharjah has been unveiled, extracted from Mohammadi and Taifi roses, both known for their quality and scent. The product appeared on social media as part of the exhibits at the Sharjah Products Exhibition held at Al Dhaid University, where it drew attention for its locally sourced ingredients. Mohammadi roses originate from Oman and are currently cultivated in the UAE. Along with Taifi roses, they are used to extract rose water, which is commonly known for its cosmetic, therapeutic, and culinary uses. This effort reflects the emirate's direction toward local agricultural production. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, President of Al Dhaid University, visited the exhibition and reviewed a wide range of products, including those from Jabal Al Deem such as Mohammadi and Taifi roses, honey, olives and their derivatives, apples, thyme, and rosemary. He also visited the stand of the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Corporation (Ektifa), and reviewed the latest products of Grasse, including vegetables, fruits, and derivatives such as jam and sauces. As reported previously by Khaleej Times, the successful first grape harvest from the Ghammam Project in Sharjah, recorded at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level in Jabal Al Deem, marked an agricultural achievement for the region. 5 million seeds According to the official website of Sheikh Dr Sultan, during the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Al Dhaid University, he explained that his efforts in collecting and classifying seeds began in 1973. He currently maintains a seed bank containing approximately 5 million of them. The seed bank will be moved to Al Dhaid University to support scientific research and training for students in the agriculture program. The Sharjah ruler concluded his tour with a visit to the Sharjah Products Exhibition at the university. He expressed interest in the quality of the items on display, which align with the emirate's approach to food security through scientific education and agricultural development. Following the meeting, Sheikh Dr Sultan hosted a lunch for members of the Board of Trustees. Under the agreement, the factory will manufacture all types of "Saba' Sanabel" organic pasta, made from wheat grown at the Maliha farm, which boasts a protein content of 19.3%, the highest globally. Signing ceremony The agreement was signed during the "Make it in the Emirates 2025" exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, CEO of the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment "IKTIFA," and Ahmed Saeed Belyouha, Chairman of the Emirates Macaroni Factory, represented the parties involved. Event significance This milestone agreement took place at the UAE's leading industrial event, where the Department of Agriculture and Livestock and its investment arm, "IKTIFA," showcased projects from Sharjah's sustainable organic food security system, along with a variety of organic products. He pointed out that the agreement with the Emirates Macaroni Factory to produce "Saba' Sanabel" organic pasta was made due to the factory's status as one of the leading national institutions. With nearly fifty years of experience, it is the first factory in the UAE and the region to specialize in pasta and its derivatives. Future of organic food production Ahmed Saeed Belyouha, Chairman of the Emirates Macaroni Factory, stated that the partnership with IKTIFA marks an important milestone towards a more sustainable future for organic food production in the UAE. Since its establishment, the Emirates Macaroni Factory has remained committed to delivering high-quality products that meet international standards and reflect the evolving aspirations of consumers in the UAE and the wider region.
