A Porsche 356SC is a special car, but finding one that's been stashed away for almost 60 years is really something. However, this classic wasn't kept washed and polished the whole time, which we realize is mind blowing for anyone who realizes its value. Obviously, to the owner, it just wasn't worth the hassle. What's crazy is this classic Porsche only has 17,700 original miles on it. That's why the exterior and interior as so incredibly well preserved, like an automotive time capsule. In fact, the interior looks almost brand new.
As the final iteration of the Porsche 356, the SC was introduced in 1964 as a step up from the also-new C. The SC came with a a higher compression ratio, upgraded carbs, more aggressive camshafts, larger intake/exhaust valves, and other upgrades.
All that meant more power for the driver to enjoy, 107-bhp and 91 lb.-ft. of torque, to be specific. While it wouldn't be considered quick or fast by today's standards, back in the day it was a hot little ride many enjoyed on the street and track.
Plus, these days a well-preserved Porsche 356SC can sell for big money. Seeing one in this state might be disturbing, but the owner at least kept it whole and in overall good condition. We still would've kept it clean even if we wanted to park it for decades, but he obviously felt differently about it.
Thanks to a thorough professional detailing job performed by the guys at WD Detailing, they make the classic Porsche truly shine again. It looks like a show car in the footage, which is seriously impressive. Usually, barn finds don't clean up nearly this well.
Check out the video, it's amazing viewing.

'Breakthrough EVs': Ford Stock (NYSE:F) Notches Up on New Battery Details

An electric vehicle (EV) is only as good as its battery, at the end of the day. Legacy automaker Ford (F) is likely aware of this, and has a novel new prospect coming as a result. The new line of EVs Ford has on tap will have an unexpected feature: a much smaller battery. But this is less a problem than you may think. In fact, Ford stock is up fractionally in Friday afternoon's trading. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Unlock powerful investing tools, advanced data, and expert analyst insights to help you invest with confidence. So how does a smaller battery win Ford's new EV line any friends? As it turns out, the smaller battery will produce a car with a similar range as those cars with bigger batteries. The battery in question will offer 51 kilowatt-hours of power, which is only about half the size of the batteries currently found in the F-150 Lightning. But if Ford can make an EV that gets the necessary 250-300 mile per charge range that most electric vehicles consider 'table stakes' these days, Ford might be able to make lighter-weight vehicles that are also less expensive, a combination that is only too important in a time when everyone is still feeling the inflationary pinch that started a few years ago and has yet to relent. 'Liquid Carbon' Mustang Of course, Ford is not all about electric vehicles; EVs represent a small portion of Ford's total sales, as gas engines still rule the day. And new reports about the Ford Mustang GTD 'Liquid Carbon' are already delivering some impressive visuals of the kind that might make Porsche (POAHY) quake in fear. Indeed, the GTD Liquid Carbon does look a lot like a 911 GT3 RS. Moreover, it is also a car that has bypassed the paint process and instead stuck with bonded carbon fiber all around. It is not all about looks, though, as reports note the GTD Liquid Carbon features a 'Performance' pack as a standard edition, complete with a DRS flap on the rear win, dive planes, and a 'bigger splitter,' all of which adds up to Ford living up to its promise of ' no boring cars.' Is Ford Stock a Good Buy Right Now? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on F stock based on two Buys, nine Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 8.85% rally in its share price over the past year, the average F price target of $10.74 per share implies 6.24% downside risk.

2026 Ruf Tribute Is an Air-Cooled Homage to Past Porsche 911s

The 2026 Ruf Tribute features a completely new air-cooled flat-six engine engineered and built by the company. Paired solely with a seven-speed manual, the aluminum 3.6-liter dry-sump engine makes 543 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque. Ruf expects to build between 50 and 100 Tributes over the next five years, with each one priced at roughly $1.7 million. In celebration of the Porsche 911's 60th birthday, renowned 911-fiddler Ruf debuted the Tribute two years ago at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. But this model goes way beyond the car's visual throwback to the 964 generation of Porsche's iconic coupe. Although Ruf has plenty of experience upping the output of Porsche's flat-sixes, this time it went all-in with a completely new air-cooled flat-six engineered and built by Ruf, complete with a belt-driven fan in back that will look familiar to anyone who's popped the engine lid on an air-cooled 911. View Photos RUF This year at the Quail, the company showed off the production version of the 2026 Tribute, along with the first delivery of its safari-build Rodeo that it debuted last year. Impressively, the Tribute meets all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS)—although, for low-volume automakers such as Ruf, virtual crash testing stands in for the real thing. It also recently passed emissions testing. Of course, emissions were one of the reasons Porsche cited in switching to water cooling for the 996 911 in the late 1990s. The first Tributes, which are hand-built in Germany, will be delivered in 2026. The aluminum 3.6-liter dry-sump engine makes 543 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque and embraces modernity with dual-overhead cams and variable valve timing and lift, but it sticks with three valves per cylinder. According to Alois Ruf, president of Ruf Automobile, the reason for having one exhaust valve is to ensure there's enough cylinder-head mass around the valves to dissipate heat. View Photos RUF A four-valve design with two exhaust valves risks overheating the narrow section between the valves. In addition to the typical engine info such as oil temperature, there's also a cylinder-head temperature readout in the digital gauge cluster. As for emissions, Ruf says the trick is in using variable valve timing on the intake side to retard timing under part load. Two spark plugs in each cylinder also help. If you're guessing that an all-new engine built for a handful of cars doesn't come cheap, you'd be right, as the Tribute starts at $1.7 million based on the current Euro-to-dollar exchange rate. Underpinning the Tribute is a carbon-fiber tub with front and rear aluminum subframes, control-arm suspension with pushrod adaptive dampers front and rear, forged 19-inch wheels, and carbon-ceramic brake rotors. The body panels are also entirely rendered in carbon fiber. The only transmission is a seven-speed manual. View Photos RUF Dimensionally, the Tribute also keeps it old school, with its 165.6-inch length, 71.6-inch width, 49.8-inch height, and 92.2-inch wheelbase far closer to the specs of a 964 than today's 911, which is more than a foot longer. Even better, Ruf's claimed curb weight of roughly 2800 pounds makes the Tribute lighter than a Carrera 2 we tested in 1990, despite more than double the power and almost 40 mph more speed at its top end (200 mph). They say you can never go back, but Ruf seemingly disagrees. And the company seems to be onto something. By 9:30 am at The Quail, two attendees had placed orders, joining the two-to-three-year wait time. Ruf says the company can build 30 cars per year—split amongst the Tribute, Rodeo, and SCR models—and expects to build between 50 and 100 Tributes over the next five years. Porsche 963 RSP takes to the road and the track in the U.S.

By GlobeNewswire Published on August 16, 2025, 02:37 IST Atlanta., Aug. 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — . After a dynamic debut ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and displays in Austria and at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 963 RSP has returned to the U.S., where Roger Penske got behind the wheel of the one-off creation built in his honor, and bearing his name, for the first time. The first shakedown and familiarization laps were conducted by Roger Penske on the South Track of the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta – allowing the team to check the car after its adventures on both the road and track in Europe. 'That was a fantastic experience – an unforgettable moment to finally get behind the wheel' said Roger Penske, Chairman of the Penske Corporation. 'Our partnership with Porsche has led to an incredible history together built over six decades. This is a special moment among many in that partnership. It's been a privilege to be a part of the team and program that led to its creation.' Following this, a more extensive drive took place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca – home of four Rennsport Reunions and a future location for a Porsche Driving Center in 2026. Friends of Laguna Seca board member Bruce Canepa lapped the legendary track, as did former works driver Patrick Long, who famously also piloted the RS Spyder for Penske Racing between 2006 and 2008. 'It appears intimidating at first, but actually it shrinks around you and is very responsive and agile,' said Patrick on emerging from the car, having driven it on both the track and the road. 'It has great steering feel and the visibility is great looking forwards. The ride is pretty compliant, too, so I can see it working well on the road. What a machine – I just wanted to keep going!' 'It's a fitting conclusion to an exciting project to see Roger drive the car for the first time as it joins his collection, where I know it will be in the best of hands' added Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. 'The heart and soul of everyone at Porsche is engrained in this car.' The 963 RSP, which is based on the Porsche 963 racing prototype used in the World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, is a special, one-off car inspired by, and created for, Roger Penske. The car has been changed extensively by the Sonderwunsch program inside and out, with unique bodywork, and a bespoke interior inspired by Porsche 917 chassis number 30. That car famously featured very similar changes when it first took to the road 50 years ago. Like the 917, the 963 RSP wears a custom silver paint finish (in the same Martini Silver paint color as the 917) as well as a bespoke leather and Alcantara interior. Beyond that, the dampers are tuned for street use, ride height and engine control unit to allow for driving on the road, including the use of pump gas. In keeping with the theme, the car was fitted with turn signals, wet weather tires, and even a horn. The car will be shown at the Porsche Zentrum during Monterey Car Week in California, before joining Penske's private collection of road and race cars.
