Director Adam Bernstein shared his excitement about casting Jesse Williams in the lead role, saying: "It's an amazing opportunity for me to work with Jesse Williams on Costiera."
"I've always admired his work – both on stage and screen, and he's the first actor that came to my mind for the role of Daniel De Luca. Jesse provides a perfect combination of intelligence, charisma, and humour, and we're incredibly lucky to have him at the centre of our show."
The six-part series will be released on September 24 on Prime Video.

Which? names two Welsh coastal destinations among the best in the UK
Which? names two Welsh coastal destinations among the best in the UK Two Welsh seaside locations have been named as one of the UK's best coastal destinations in the Which? rankings, however another was even named one of the worst. This pretty village in Wales has been compared to Italy for its beautiful buildings and coast (Image: Getty Images ) Wales is known for many things, including rugby, Tom Jones and of course it's beautiful scenery. We are very fortunate to have some of the most stunning beaches on our doorstep, and this has been acknowledged in this year's Which? rankings. The UK's consumer champions surveyed over 3,800 people about their experiences of UK seaside destinations in the last year. They asked those taking part what their views were on a range of things including the quality of the beaches, scenery, food and drink offerings, accommodation, tourist attractions and value for money. In the end, two Welsh locations made it into the best five seaside finds, along with Bamburgh in Northumberland which took the top spot for the fifth year running. From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here . The esteemed annual seaside survey saw South West spots, particularly those in Devon, basking in popularity, credited in part to the acclaimed film 'The Salt Path'. Meanwhile, destinations across the North East and Wales also received high praise. Portmeirion in Gwynedd, North Wales' colourful Italian inspired village celebrated for its vibrant architecture achieved a commendable 79% rating. With five-star accolades for both its scenery and seafront, a visitor commented: "The place is superb in every way. It's a beautiful setting with wonderful food and accommodation - perfect for a special occasion." The location, which was made iconic by the classic TV series 'The Prisoner', came in third place on the list. They trailed behind the Northumberland village which received an 84% destination score and Beer, a seaside village in Devon with a score of 80%. Article continues below The average cost for a hotel stay in Portmeirion works out as roughly £134 per night. You can read about one Wales Online reporter's experience of staying overnight in the surreal Welsh Village with no residents here. In fourth place on the list was another Welsh gem that won over visitors. St Davids in Pembrokeshire, the UK's smallest city, it also matched Portmeirion's 79% destination score. A view over St Davids (Image: (Image: Getty) ) A visitor praised St Davids for its "excellent facilities, lovely seafront, nice walks and excellent hotels." One reporter for Wales Online said that "there's nowhere like it", when they visited the location. You can read more here. Another Pembrokeshire town featured on the list just behind places like Tynemouth in Tyne and Wear and Dungeness in Kent. Eighth on the list was Tenby, which beat out renowned resort areas like St Ives, Brighton and Margate. Rory Boland, Editor of Which? said: "From beautiful coastlines to peaceful walks and charming traditional bucket and spade resorts, the UK seaside offers something for everyone - whatever the weather. "While you may have your own favourite destination, as well as the top spots in Devon and Wales, our survey shows there are still plenty of beautiful hidden gems across the UK to explore. "Some seaside resorts offer better value for money than others, so it is worth looking at surrounding areas of popular spots if you are looking for a cheaper overnight stay." The least popular location on the list was Bognor Regis, which in the past has been celebrated as one of the sunniest spots in mainland Britain. It has now languished at the bottom of the holiday destination table with a mere 36% rating, earning just one star across most judged areas. A disappointed visitor described it as "'a run-down seaside town". Trailing just slightly better was Bangor in Gwynedd, which scored a very disappointing 38% where its "shabby" state didn't go unnoticed. However, it has gone up a spot from being last year's 'worst seaside town in the UK'. Yet, amidst criticism, someone commended the area for its "stunning views across the Menai Straits" and considered it an excellent gateway to North Wales and Anglesey. (Image: Getty ) Bangor may lack a traditional beach but boasts a Victorian-era landmark pier, virtually unchanged since Lord Penrhyn inaugurated it in 1896. Last year, one of our reporters was disappointed to hear that the North Walian city had been declared the 'worst seaside town in the UK' (especially as it isn't a town) and decided to write about her love for where she grew up, you can read more here. Brooklyn Beckham breaks silence with touching gesture towards family amid ongoing feud
David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn Beckham has reached out to his family in a touching social media post amid rumours of an ongoing feud Brooklyn Beckham has made his first public gesture towards his family on social media, sharing a heartfelt message. The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham posted a touching birthday tribute to his grandmother, Sandra. He said: 'Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much," along side two heart emojis. The post is believed to mark the first time Brooklyn has publicly acknowledged his family amid reports of a bitter family feud. However, insiders remain convinced that a reconciliation with his parents is unlikely. One source stated: "At present it feels like there is too much to overcome.' It comes as it was revealed last month that the wanna be chef was in London at the same time as his dad, but kept his visit a secret. A picture uploaded to Instagram showed Brooklyn drinking a pint in a pub, as bottles of his own-band hot sauce on the table in front of him, the Mirror reports. The pub may have seemed unrecognisable to outsiders, but those close to the Beckhams quickly recognised the distinctive light fittings and bold green walls in the background. One pal stated: "The picture was taken in London's Wigmore pub, which is part of the Langham Hotel where the Beckhams have sometimes stayed." "The fact that Brooklyn was in the country and failed to see any of his family was heartbreaking. And not only that, but here he was posting about it.' Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had travelled to London for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler - which took place less than two miles from the Beckham family's Holland Park home. His dad, David was also nearby that day, appearing alongside the King at the Chelsea Flower show. A friend shared: 'Brooklyn had kept the visit quiet from not only his mum and dad but his siblings and extended family. It was terribly sad that he had flown thousands of miles to London and hadn't engaged at all. It would have been very easy to meet up.' In a separate Instagram post on May 16, Brooklyn paid tribute to Nicola's late grandmother, sharing a photo to mark the anniversary of her passing. He wrote: "I miss you and will love you forever." A source stated: "Brooklyn's heart is of course in the right place…but it hasn't gone unnoticed how all the while he is posting about Nicola's family he is silent about his own, including his own grandfather whose birthday it was last week." Those familiar with the family suggest that what they believe are "performative" social media posts are Nicola's doing. They express concerns that she may be influencing or even directing Brooklyn's online activity - which they say feels out of character - and suggest she is playing a role in distancing him from his friends and family. A pal close to the family, stated: "She is creating conflict where there is none and divides are springing up left, right and centre." Although a source close to the couple has hit back at comments of Nicola being "controlling" towards her husband, and claims that Brooklyn is very much his own man. The source, said: "She is not isolating him at all. He is free to do what he wants and he loves his wife and they are happy together. They are each other's family."

This new Bushwick pizza joint has the oldest coal oven in America, and it's opening tomorrow
Seeking out the best pizza places in NYC will lead you all over the five boroughs. Our city is home to second best slice in the world and still continues to churn out new 'za joints in every neighborhood. Some of the best restaurants in Brooklyn are also pizzerias, including a brand-new addition: Lucky Charlie, opening tomorrow at 254 Irving Avenue in Bushwick. Created by award-winning chef Nino Coniglio (of Williamsburg Pizza and Coniglio's fame), the restaurant takes inspiration from slice shops past, specifically the coal-oven pizzerias of the 1920s and Nino's own Sicilian heritage. But the true gem surrounding its debut sits in the corner of the kitchen: a coal oven built in 1890—the oldest in America!—which formerly provided fresh bread for the neighborhood's Italian immigrants. The building's landlord, Charlie Verde, discovered this iconic historical artifact in 2002, and thus, lucky Charlie became the restaurant's namesake. Scrawled on chalkboards, the menu highlights Italian imports (Sicilian olive oils, San Marzano tomatoes), seasonal rotations of meat (beef ragu, aged ribeye) and seafood (tuna crudo, clams casino), plus oven-baked pasta dishes. Ten-percent sourdough creates thin but fluffy crust for daily pizzas that include a classic pie with red sauce and Italian sheep's milk pecorino; a white pie laden in stracciatella, ricotta, and salty pecorino sardo; and a saucy red pie souped up with basil and breadcrumbs. You can always ask for additional toppings like locally sourced sausage, cup-and-char pepperoni, Sicilian olives, artichoke hearts, and even house-made meatballs. Alongside Sicilian wines, expect curated classic cocktails like martinis doused in Calabrian chili brine and a gin and tonic playfully called 'Tony & Geno' with house-made rosemary syrup. Most notably, chef Nino is the only pizza aficionado to ever apprentice with legendary chef Dom DeMarco (Di Fara Pizza) and has received numerous accolades abroad, in addition to championing Food Network's Chopped. Lucky Charlie is Nino's first project with a coal oven, where he applies techniques and ingredients pulled from pages of the O.G. NYC coal-oven joints of the 1900s. Across the tiled threshold guests are greeted with 'Va Eccati,' meaning 'Let's get outta here,' as the 42-seat space recalls throwback New York City: exposed original brick, stained glass sconces, red-leather bar stools, vintage posters and personal photographs galore depicting chef's family and ancestral roots.
