Teodora Marcu, who was 26 weeks pregnant, was gunned down in the street and shot dead while holding her toddler in her arms
A pregnant reality star was shot dead in the street with her toddler daughter in her arms. Teodora Marcu was allegedly gunned down in cold blood by her ex-boyfriend who turned the gun on himself when cornered by the cops.
She was 26 weeks pregnant at the time of her death. The TV star, 23, was carrying her three-year-old daughter in her arms when the suspected killer, named as Robert Lupu, 49, allegedly shot her at close range.

She left him when she found out he was lying about his marriage and he never accepted the relationship was over, according to reports. The reality star was fatally shot outside the Cosmopolis residential complex near the Romanian capital Bucharest on Saturday (31 May).

Teodora, who found fame on a Love Island-type show called Insula Iubirii in her home country, had been at a kids' party with her cousin and her children. The pair posted images of the party on social media just minutes before the attack happened.
They left the party and went to buy ice cream together when the victim was reportedly shot four times in the chest and abdomen. The relative helped her on the street and tried to console her young daughter.
Meanwhile, the suspect calmly left the scene and was later tracked down by the cops. He allegedly shot himself when he was cornered, as reported by NeedToKnow.
The police said: 'Two lethal firearms were found on the man, one of which he used to commit suicide. The two weapons were seized by specialists from the Weapons Service of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate and we are still trying to determine their origin.'
Teodora was expecting her second child with her partner Alexandru Marcu, an illusionist by profession, at the time of her death. She would have given birth to a son.
The investigation into her alleged murder is ongoing.

Love Island: Why Was This Contestant Axed Before The Show Had Even Started?

The countdown to the new series of Love Island is officially underway, with the 12th season of the show airing on Monday. After weeks of speculation, the Love Island cast was officially revealed this week. However, one contestant has reportedly been dumped from the villa before the show has even begun. Just one day after the cast announcement, it was revealed that Kyle Ashman had been axed from the show after he was arrested on suspicion of a machete attack before being released without charge. A spokesperson for ITV shared the news, writing in a statement that Ashman would not be taking part in the 12th season of the show. 'For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned,' the statement read. Kyle has also responded to the news himself. He said: 'I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.' According to reports in The Sun, the incident took place in February when 'masked thugs stormed a wake in Stafford and hacked at a dad' who 'nearly lost his arm.' Additionally, someone else was glassed, one struck with a metal pole, and two people were run over by a car. Ashman was one of two suspects questioned about the incident. 'This was a horrific attack which could have been even worse,' a source told The Sun. 'Ashman may have signed up to one of the biggest shows on TV with this hanging over his head.' According to insiders, ITV were unaware of the incident until the publication raised it, and it was not flagged as part of the contestant checks. Now, the decision has been made to part ways with Ashman. Other confirmed contestants for series 12 of Love island include former fire breather Sophie Lee and personal trainer Aaron Buckett.

Dogs chase and savage young deer at Aberdeen park

Wildlife rescue teams discovered a scene of horror after a trapped deer was brutally mauled by dogs near an Aberdeen park. The young animal was chased into the fence and became stuck before it was savaged by the two off-the-lead dogs. It was still alive when staff from New Arc Wildlife Rescue arrived to offer aid but they were dismayed to discover the severity of its injuries. The wounds were so serious that they confirmed the deer had to be euthanised at the scene. The animal was found injured in a small grass park area at Erroll Place, near King Street, at around 7.30pm on Sunday. It is reported that the injuries were caused by an Alsatian-type dog and another smaller breed which chased the deer. Following the attack, Aberdeen dog owners are being urged to keep their pets on a lead. A New Arc Wildlife Rescue spokesperson said: 'Our advice is the same as the British Deer Society. 'Please keep your dogs on leads, especially when in parks or wild areas. 'Most of the time when we attend these types of scenes, if the dog owner is there they state that their dog has never done anything like it before.' Deer birthing season peaks between May and July, so it is more likely dog walkers will encounter pregnant and new-born deer during these months. And the British Deer Society advises that even well trained dogs can chase deer instinctively. They also warn that off-lead dogs can:

Fourth man arrested over fires at properties linked to Keir Starmer bailed

The 48-year-old was stopped at Stansted Airport on Monday and arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life. On Wednesday the Metropolitan Police said he had been released on bail to a date in July. Three men have already been charged in connection with the fires: Ukrainians Petro Pochynok, 34, and Roman Lavrynovych, 21, and Ukrainian-born Romanian national Stanislav Carpiuc, 26, who are all due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday. Lavrynovych, of Sydenham, south-east London, is charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. Pochynok, of Holloway Road in Islington, north London, and Carpiuc, of Chadwell Heath, east London, are accused of conspiring to commit arson with intent to endanger life. Two of the fires took place in Kentish Town, north London – one in the early hours of May 12 at the home where Sir Keir lived before he became Prime Minister and moved into Downing Street. A car was set alight in the same street four days earlier on May 8. The other fire took place on May 11 at the front door of a house converted into flats in Islington.
