Riddhima Kapoor broke down during debut film shoot with Neetu Kapoor; says last time she cried publicly was when Rishi Kapoor died

After making her debut on Karan Johar's reality show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of veteran actors Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, is all set to make her big screen debut. Riddhima will star in the film alongside her mother, Neetu Kapoor.
In a recent interaction with E Times, Riddhima shared that she recently wrapped a 40-day shoot in the beautiful town of Mashobra near Shimla with her mother, and the experience brought them closer. She revealed that the last time they had spent quality time together was when she had her daughter, Samara Sahni.
She also revealed that her brother and actor Ranbir Kapoor was very excited when he got to know about her big-screen debut. 'I'd send him photos of my looks and clips from scenes, just to get his opinion,' she said.
Riddhima also shared some behind-the-scenes details of the film's shoot. She revealed that a particular scene in the film moved her so emotionally that she cried a lot. She expressed that the last time she had cried openly in public was when her father, Rishi Kapoor, had passed away in 2020. She said, 'The last time I cried openly was when dad passed away. But this scene – without any glycerine – just broke me. The emotions were so real, and my mom was shaken seeing me like that,' she said.
Riddhima had earlier shared behind-the-scenes moments with the film's cast. In one photo, she and her mother Neetu were seen sitting together against a beautiful backdrop, waiting for the shoot to begin. Another picture showed them gathered around a bonfire with Kapil Sharma and other cast members.

Riddhima and Neetu's upcoming film is tentatively titled Dadi Ki Shaadi and also stars comedian Kapil Sharma in the lead role. According to reports, the film is produced by Abbas-Mustan and directed by Anukalp Goswami. It is scheduled to release in the second half of 2025.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shot to fame with the third season of the Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She starred alongside OG Bollywood wives Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Neelam Kothari, and Bhavana Pandey in the show.
