Ranbir Kapoor once said he wanted to kiss Anushka Sharma 'more' in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
A clip of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, straight from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions is going viral on the internet; In a fun Rapid Fire round with Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir was asked to pick who's a better kisser between Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai, both of whom starred in the Karan Johar film. Without missing a beat, he said, 'I would have really liked to kiss Anushka more (in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil). She's a damn good kisser. Somebody is lucky." Interestingly, at the time of the interview, Anushka was dating cricketer Virat Kohli but hadn't made their relationship public yet—something Ranbir subtly hinted at. The following year, Anushka and Virat tied the knot in a beautiful wedding in Italy attended by close family and friends.
His candid reply won him the Rapid Fire round hands down, and Anushka couldn't help but joke, 'He should be penalised for that answer," sharing a laugh over his honesty.
Fans also recalled the sizzling chemistry between Ranbir and Anushka in the theatrical trailer of Bombay Velvet, where their intense kissing scenes were almost completely toned down by the censors, taking away much of the original impact.
Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor's playful chemistry was a major highlight during the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil promotions in 2016. In another chat with Mastiii, they shared some honest and fun insights about their friendships and relationships. During one hilarious moment, Ranbir had revealed a surprising fact — Anushka is the 'champion" at friend-zoning people!
Ranbir went on to say that one of Anushka's actor friends had actually fallen for her, but she had friend-zoned him. Anushka was caught off guard by this, but she explained her perspective. Growing up in an army family—her father served in the army—she was used to having male friends. For her, it was natural to connect with both boys and girls, and she never viewed friendships based on gender.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's children, Vamika and Akaay, were born on January 11, 2021, and February 15, 2024, respectively. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony. In November 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Raha Kapoor.

Tehran OTT release: John Abraham says it's 'disheartening' as theatres avoided film over controversies

John Abraham has expressed his disappointment over the direct-to-OTT release of his long-delayed film 'Tehran', which is now set to premiere on ZEE5 after being held back since 2023. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the actor admitted, 'It's very disheartening. I'm not going to mince my words on it, but it breaks your heart, especially for an actor who always wants to be seen on the big screen. But we all made a very informed decision on that. And the decision was that because of the conflicts and controversies that are happening around internationally.' The film, which features significant references to Iran and Israel, faced reluctance from cinema chains due to its sensitive geopolitical context. 'Theatres were a little wary of picking up a film that had Iran and Israel in it. We had a choice of either showing the film somewhere or not showing it at all,' John explained. Abraham credited ZEE5 for stepping in to give the film a home. 'Zee5 has been gracious and told us they would be our platform. But it also breaks your heart as an actor who only wants to be seen on the big screen,' he noted. Describing 'Tehran' as more of a foreign film, he added, 'When you will see the film, you will understand that why it will not resonate with a larger audience. It has got a lot of Farsi in it and a lot of Hebrew in it. It's only 1 hour and 50 minutes long. It's got a lot of foreign language in it.' Explaining the authenticity behind the language use, he said, 'The film is called Tehran and once you enter Tehran, you are not going to be speaking in Hindi… Having said all of it, it's finally coming out.' 'Tehran' will arrive on the streaming platform on August 14.
