Fans show love for Tyler, The Creator's new dance album, 'Don't Tap the Glass'
"Don't Tap the Glass" released early July 21 and features 10 songs produced and performed by Tyler, The Creator. The album's cover art features the artist with an unproportionally-sized head and limbs sporting red pants, a large gold chain, glasses and a red hat that reads, "GLASS."
"I asked some friends why they don't dance in public and some said because of the fear of being film," the rapper and producer shared in an Instagram post on Monday. "I thought, 'Damn, a natural form of expression and a certain connection they have with music is now a ghost.' It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme. All for having a good time."
Taking a one-night break from "Chromakopia: The World Tour," which continues through September, Tyler, The Creator held a listening party for the new album in Los Angeles on Sunday evening. In his Instagram post, the artist said during an evening with no phones, no camera, "just speakers and sweatbox," friends and fans were simply able to enjoy themselves.
"This album was not made for sitting still. Dancing, driving, running, any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it. Only at full volume," he concluded in the post.

In conjunction with the album's release, Tyler, The Creator released a music video for the track, "Stop Playing with Me," which features Pusha T, Malice and LeBron James. Only three hours after its release, the video had more than 574,000 views on YouTube.
Largely, fans have been sharing their love for "Don't Tap the Glass."
"I've never smiled more than I have today," the top comment on the artist's Instagram post teasing the music video read, as of July 21.
TikTok user Tyson Jones pointed out that "Don't Tap the Glass" has a much different sound than the artist's previous album, "Chromakopia." The albums also vary in length, as "Don't Tap the Glass" runs front to back in less than 30 minutes and "Chromakopia" runs more than 50 minutes. Jones said the new album may be different than what Tyler, The Creator fans are used to, or were hoping of the artist's new album, but the dance-centric album is a fun listen.
"You can just tell, Tyler, The Creator was having a lot of fun making this and just wanted to drop it for his fans," Jones said in a video.
Brielle Ki, an editorial intern for advertising agency Hypebeast, described the new album as a raw, creative implusive from Tyler, The Creator, following a more structured "Chromakopia."
"Across all ten songs, "Don't Tap the Glass" resists definition. It doesn't aim to be cohesive or complete," Ki wrote in a Hypebeast blog post. "This album strays from genre while still feeling entirely like him – less a statement, more a glimpse into the raw mechanics of his creative process. Instead of searching for meaning, it feels like he's letting the music speak for what he doesn't want to explain."

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, ventured outside the wrestling ring in the mid 2000s. The '80s wrestling star had a reality TV show with his family called Hogan Knows Best. The VH1 series debuted in 2005 and took viewers inside the Hogan home, capturing marital tension with his then-wife Lynda and teenage growing pains as a protective father to his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke. The series ran for four seasons until 2007. Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter reacted to the news on X, saying he was "saddened" to hear about Hogan's passing. Mom reveals why her toddler son isn't allowed to watch 'Peppa Pig'
The animated kids TV show 'Peppa Pig' is facing scrutiny — and some moms are starting to push back. On July 13, one concerned mother, identified on social media as Kelly Arvan of Australia, took to TikTok to share an urgent warning to parents who let their kids watch 'Peppa Pig' after her son adopted a not-so-friendly phrase from the popular show. As she explains in the video, 'Peppa Pig' is no longer welcome inside her household. 'My son watches 'Peppa Pig,'' Arvan says at the beginning of the video. 'Like a month ago, he started going around to everyone saying, 'You're not my best friend.'' Arvan, who had no idea why her son was saying the phrase, told him it wasn't nice and that he wasn't allowed to say it anymore. It wasn't until she heard Peppa Pig say it in an episode of the show that she connected the dots. 'I'm just sitting on the couch and Kia (her son) is watching 'Peppa Pig' and I hear Peppa Pig saying, 'You're not my best friend anymore,'' she explained in her TikTok. Arvan immediately turned the show off before telling her son that he's not allowed to watch it anymore. Many parents took to the comment section to agree with Arvan, while praising other popular children shows like 'Bluey.' 'Bluey would never,' one parent commented. 'Peppa pig is a brat, I banned my kids when I noticed their energy shifting,' another parent commented. 'Blueys where its at now if bluey said it, there would be a lesson as to why its not nice,' a third user wrote. In an interview with Kidspot, published July 16, Arvan said it took her son, who is 3, about two weeks to stop saying the phrase after 'a lot of correcting and teaching.' 'Everytime I heard him say it, I'd ask him 'My son, where did you learn this? We don't say that, it's ok for someone to not be your best friend but you don't say it to hurt someone,'' she told the outlet. Now, when Arvan's son sees Peppa Pig on the TV, he knows to find something else to watch. 'Today for his screen time when I was browsing kids Netflix for him Peppa did pass the TV, Kia did say 'no more naughty Peppa' and he chose another show,' Arvan told Kidspot. Her son has since moved on to what Arvan described as more positive shows like Ms. Rachel and 'Trash Truck.' 'If he's watching something like Ms. Rachel or Trash Truck he is in a happy positive mood, when he's watching Peppa pig he can be a little more sassy,' she said of her son's change in behavior. Arvan's comments about 'Peppa Pig' are nothing new to the parenting community. Parents have long criticized the show for its bad messaging, which often includes fat-shaming Daddy Pig and other rude comments from members of the animated family. 'Peppa is just a spoiled brat who does nothing but fat shame her dad and get her way,' one parent wrote in a review, according to Common Sense Media. Another parent on the review site praised the show for being 'really funny' and described it as 'good for kids.' One parent said they liked the show for it's educational value, saying 'My 2 year old son learned a lot from the show.' As for Arvan, she now knows to keep her eyes (and ears) open when it comes to shows her son watches. 'Peppa is not a role model I personally as a parent would be proud for my child to learn from,' she told Kidspot. 'As parents we always monitor screen time, but small quick sentences from shows like this can be easily missed,' she added. 'With him being our first son, there is no parenting rule book. We are learning along the way as well and we are proud to share our knowledge with other parents,' she continued. Solve the daily Crossword
