Nvidia shares soar to an all-time high; eyes Micron earnings for next cues

Time of India25-06-2025
Nvidia shares soared to an all-time high of $152.97 on Wednesday, surpassing its previous record close of $149.43 set in January. The 2.6% surge in early trading reflected growing investor confidence in the chipmaker's leadership in the booming artificial intelligence (AI) sector.
The rally was partly driven by market anticipation ahead of Micron Technology's quarterly earnings, due after market hours. Micron manufactures high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips, a key component in Nvidia's advanced AI accelerators.
Strong results from Micron are expected to signal continued demand across the AI hardware supply chain, further reinforcing Nvidia's bullish outlook.
Beyond hardware, Nvidia's growth is being propelled by its expanding software and cloud services business.
Its DGX Cloud platform — which allows organisations to run large-scale AI workloads on Nvidia's infrastructure — has seen adoption across industries such as healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. This marks a strategic shift, positioning Nvidia as not just a chipmaker but a full-stack AI solutions provider.
Investor optimism has remained strong since Nvidia's impressive first-quarter earnings in late May, which beat analyst estimates and highlighted robust revenue growth.

The company's performance remains resilient despite geopolitical headwinds, including US export restrictions on chip sales to China, once a major market.
The focus now turns to Micron's earnings, expected to provide broader insight into the strength and sustainability of the AI hardware boom.
Earlier this month, Nvidia briefly became the world's most valuable publicly listed company, overtaking Microsoft. It has been trading market-cap leadership with Microsoft and Apple since mid-2023. The latest surge reestablishes Nvidia's dominance, underscoring its rapid ascent as a key force in the AI revolution.
As global demand for AI infrastructure continues to rise, Nvidia's position at the heart of the technology ecosystem appears increasingly unshakable.

Arsenal's aggressive transfer strategy and rising academy stars fuel 2025 title hopes

After watching three consecutive Premier League titles slip through their fingers, Arsenal have opened their wallet wide in the close season, completing early moves to ensure squad depth does not derail their championship dreams again. Having finished second in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns, Arsenal failed to build on that momentum in the transfer market last summer. In came midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, defender Cristhian Mosquera, winger Noni Madueke, 'keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and striker Viktor Gyokeres—the final piece of the puzzle. 'I was extremely happy with the way that we have approached the window and how aggressive we've been,' Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said. 'So far, we are very happy with what we have achieved. Make sure that at the end of the window, we continue to be super happy. Tactical shift Live Events Gyokeres's arrival also suggests a potential tactical shift in Arsenal's style, with the striker poles apart from how Havertz operates when leading the line. While the German constantly drops deep, Gyokeres's natural habitat is in the final third and his direct style might force Arsenal to get the ball upfield faster. Spaniard Zubimendi's mobility, his deeplying playmaking skills and defensive nous will give Arsenal's midfield a measure of steel while also controlling the tempo. Norgaard's tactical awareness and versatility makes him a welcome addition while the Dane also brings Premier League and leadership experience having captained Brentford. Academy gems While the big-money signings grab the headlines, Arsenal's famed academy continues producing gems. Last season heralded the arrival of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly on the big stage as the teenagers played a fearless and refreshing brand of football. Now, one more teenager is knocking on the door—15-year-old Max Dowman, who Arteta described as special. Arteta has succeeded in making Arsenal contenders but he must now take the final step to lift silverware and squad depth can no longer be an excuse as they hunt for a first trophy since winning the FA Cup five years ago.

How Bawadia Kalan built on urban desires & gaps to register high rise

Bhopal: The Bawadia Kalan area, also known as Arera Colony extension, has witnessed upscale real estate projects in the past decade, the likes of which Bhopal, for better or for worse, has not seen before. Experts attribute this rise to a number of reasons: Land use not being decided in the city for almost three decades now, a post-Covid boom when executives in companies and govt officials returned to the city amid work from home, people wishing to live in closed campuses and a lack of options. No less than 60 real estate projects are going on in the area, which has became a sought after location in Bhopal, due to its connectivity from all three sides of city- Arera Colony, Kolar Road, and Hoshanbagad road, and secondly due to premium covered campuses that attract residents from localities in heart of the cities, from open, uncovered colonies. The area has duplexes costing around Rs 4 crore and apartments worth Rs 2 crore, a trend that brought the city at par with big metropolitan cities. Price of 1500 square feet duplexes in upscale covered campuses in the area goes beyond Rs 12,000 per square foot. The per square feet price of land ranges from Rs 7,500 square feet to over Rs 15,000 square feet, depending on the area. A population of 3 lakh residing in 150 odd colonies in the area has brought in all facilities required for the upper middle class segment, including branded shops, schools, big hotels, hospitals and outlets of eatery chains. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Macatuba: Unsold Sofas Prices May Surprise You (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo If the industry experts are to be believed, the area has seen over 35 per cent hike in property rates in the past two years. All of this has transpired despite issues like traffic bottlenecks and stray animals menace. President of CREDAI Bhopal, Manoj Meek, said the land use has not been decided in the city for the past three decades now. Due to the fewer options available, the prices of the existing land areas or land banks like Bawadia Kalan have gone up. Prices in Bawadia Kalan have been on a higher side for a long time now, as it is an extension of Arera Colony. It is not just in Bawadia Kalan, but the prices in Salaiya too, which comes after Bawadia Kalan while moving from Arera Colony, has crossed Rs 5,000 per square feet and more. In 2012-13, the rates in the area were more than Rs 1,200 square feet. The prices in the area have sharply gone up post Covid pandemic, as people living in congested localities opted for ready to move in duplexes and apartments, Meek added. Bawadia Kalan area at present has four housing projects costing around Rs 3 crore and above, underlining that in the upscale housing sector Bawadia Kalan remains the preferred choice of big budget buyers and is also the area of the city that has the most expensive projects. One of the reasons for the area getting big budget buyers was, as pointed out by industry experts, attributed to corporate executives coming back home during or after Covid-19, and permanent work from home culture in many companies. Executives working in Manideep opted for Bawadia Kalan area due to its connectivity from two points: Vidya Nagar and Misrod rail under bridge from the Salaiya side. Besides a number of retired and serving senior govt officials, local businessmen have chosen Bawadia Kalan due to its location. Apart from duplexes and triplexes worth crores, the area was first in the city to have apartments worth crores. The trend started over eight years back. Realty experts also pointed out that unavailability of land leads to increase in prices, as the option becomes less and demand remains high, they said, adding that govt should also come up with more flyovers and widen roads so that buyers do not lose interest in posh city areas due to traffic and parking issues. Besides, the registry rates should be rationalized. The collector guideline rates have gone at par with the market rates in the areas, realtors further point.
