Govt inspecting books of Colliers Int'l (India) Property Services: Minister
Agency: Last Updated: August 04, 2025, 17:00 IST Representational image (Image: News18) New Delhi, Aug 4 (PTI) The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on Monday said inspection is underway of the books of Colliers International (India) Property Services Ltd. Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra told the Lok Sabha that the services of Colliers International (India) Property Services as a valuer of structures related to the Farakka-Raiganj section of NH-12 were terminated due to deficiency in services by the NHAI on April 10, 2015. 'The said firm was also debarred for any on-going / future projects of NHAI in the State of West Bengal in January, 2018. Further, on examination of three years Directors' Report for the FY 2017-2018 to 2019-2020 no such instance has been disclosed / reported in the Board's Report to the members of the company," he said in a written reply. Under the jurisdiction of NHAI, the minister said that no work was allotted to the company from 2014 to March 2025. 'Further, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has ordered an Inspection under section 206(5) of the Companies Act, 2013 on 30.03.2024 which is underway," he added. Tesla awards CEO Musk millions in shares valued at about USD 29 billion
Washington, Aug 4 (AP) Tesla is awarding CEO Elon Musk 96 million shares of restricted stock valued at approximately USD29 billion, just six months after a judge ordered the company to revoke his massive pay package. The electric vehicle maker said in a regulatory filing on Monday that Musk must first pay Tesla USD 23.34 per share of restricted stock that vests, which is equal to the exercise price per share of the 2018 pay package that was awarded to the company's CEO. In December Delaware Chancellor Kathaleen St Jude McCormick reaffirmed her earlier ruling that Tesla must revoke Musk's multibillion-dollar pay package. She found that Musk engineered the landmark pay package in sham negotiations with directors who were not independent. At the time McCormick also rejected an equally unprecedented and massive fee request by plaintiff attorneys, who argued that they were entitled to legal fees in the form of Tesla stock valued at more than USD 5 billion. The judge said the attorneys were entitled to a fee award of USD 345 million. The rulings came in a lawsuit filed by a Tesla stockholder who challenged Musk's 2018 compensation package. That pay package carried a potential maximum value of about $56 billion, but that sum has fluctuated over the years based on Tesla's stock price. Musk appealed the order in March. A month later Tesla said in a regulatory filing that it was creating a special committee to look at Musk's compensation as CEO. HP procures 2,123 quintals of wheat; transfers Rs 1.27 crore to farmers
Shimla, Aug 4 (PTI) The Himachal Pradesh government has purchased 2,123 quintals of naturally grown wheat this year to promote natural farming in the state, an official spokesperson said here on Monday. Farmers are adopting natural farming on a large scale due to the enhanced benefits being provided by the present state government, including higher minimum support prices for wheat, maize, turmeric and milk, a statement issued here said. So far, 2,123 quintals of wheat were procured at the rate of Rs 60 per kg from 838 farmers and Rs 1.27 crore was transferred through direct bank transfer (DBT) into their bank accounts. In addition, a freight subsidy of Rs 4.15 lakh on the transportation of wheat has also been provided, the spokesperson said. The state government has also purchased 1,270 quintals of naturally grown raw turmeric at Rs 90 per kg from farmers of six districts, and Rs 1.14 crore was transferred to their bank accounts. Moreover, 3,990 quintals of maize were also purchased from 1,509 farmers of ten districts, and Rs 1.40 crore were transferred to their accounts. Pangi Division of Chamba district has been declared as the natural farming division of the state, and the government will procure 40 metric tonnes of naturally grown barley at the rate of Rs 60 per kg from the last week of September, the statement said. The state government is selling products of naturally grown crops under the 'Him-Bhog' brand in the markets, which are becoming popular day by day, and consumers are coming forward to purchase chemical-free products. To encourage the farmers to adopt natural farming, the state government was providing training to them so that they could grow such crops in their fields. And till now, 3.06 lakh farmers were trained in the state, and 38,437 hectares of land of 3,584 gram panchayats have been brought under natural farming, and over 2,22,893 farmers were growing various crops. The state government has set a target of engaging one lakh more farmers to adopt this initiative in the current financial year. So far, 59,068 farmers and horticulturists of 88 development blocks have filled out their registration form.
