Prediction and betting odds for Alabama vs. Auburn in Top 10 rivalry rematch
Having lost their last two games, the Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team will be back in action Saturday afternoon to close out the SEC regular season, facing the in-state rival Auburn Tigers in what will be their seventh consecutive contest against a ranked opponent, as well as third-straight against a top five foe.
Two teams ranked within the Top 10 nationally at the moment, Alabama and Auburn previously met just a few weeks ago in Tuscaloosa, a game that the Tigers won by a final score of 94-85 in what was a matchup between No. 1 and No. 2.
As for this version of the rivalry however, the game shifts now to Auburn where the No. 1 ranked Tigers will host an Alabama team that has lost two-straight. Auburn has also already wrapped up the SEC regular season title, while Alabama will be playing for both seeding in the SEC and NCAA Tournament.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers prediction, pick:
Playing in Auburn, Alabama has historically not had as much success inside of Neville Arena in recent years, winning only three of the last 10 meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season. As for this year's meeting, Auburn is certainly the favorite going into Saturday afternoon, and these two teams should play a close, high-scoring contest in which a victory is a possibility for both teams.

What anonymous coaches are saying about Auburn ahead of the NCAA Super Regionals
What anonymous coaches are saying about Auburn ahead of the NCAA Super Regionals Auburn baseball has made quite an impression this season according to several college baseball coaches. The vibes surrounding the Auburn Tigers ahead of this weekend's super regional are high. From fan support to national media, many are singing the Tigers' praises after the program made a turn from missing the postseason last year to being two wins away from its third College World Series appearance since 2019. Among those that are aboard the Auburn hype train are college coaches around the country. Select coaches, who wished to remain anonymous, shared their thoughts on the Tigers with D1Baseball ahead of this weekend's Super Regionals. One coach spoke on the team's chemistry and the pitching staff's ability to mix pitches to their advantage. 'Auburn is a connected team. Their entire team, their dugout, they are one connected unit. Pitching-wise, they throw a ton of strikes and they can mix both ahead in the count and behind in the count.' Another coach complimented the team's mix of older, mature players and young studs who are contributing at a high level early in their career. One particular Auburn infielder caught the attention of one coach, who credited him for being a hard out. 'They have the perfect mix of older and just aggressive, not scared freshmen. Just super talented. (Eric) Snow gives them good at-bats. I feel like the guy never swings and misses.' Auburn's game one starter, Sam Dutton, has become one of the SEC's top arms since transferring to Auburn last offseason. After struggling to find a place within LSU's rotation, he became Auburn's Friday night ace and has produced quality numbers on the mound: 3.84 ERA with 92 strikeouts with an OBA of .336 in 82 innings with a 7-3 record. One coach broke down what makes him a special arm and how an "early outing" in a game brought a sigh of relief. '(Samuel Dutton) is a mix artist. He's a pitcher. He's going to throw a bunch of different pitches at you in all different counts. You can't just sit on one pitch with him. It cannot happen. He threw versus us in a short stint, and literally, we weren't even close. And then they didn't put him back out there and I'm like 'thank God they took him out.' He was electric. He was phenomenal. He carved us up about as bad as anybody.' Auburn baseball will look to keep its hot streak going this weekend against Coastal Carolina in the Auburn Super Regional. First pitch of game one is set for 8 p.m. CT, with game two getting underway at 2 p.m. CT. Both games will air on ESPN2. Details for the "if necessary" game three will be revealed at a later time. One specific area Alabama's defense must address to be a contender in 2025, expert says
One specific area Alabama's defense must address to be a contender in 2025, expert says The start of the 2025 college football season is 78 days away, and 85 days remain until the Alabama Crimson Tide open the season against the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee. While SEC commissioner Greg Sankey and others are still trying to re-legislate Alabama's absence from last year's College Football Playoff, only 12 Saturdays remain until Alabama-FSU. Both teams are looking for bounce-back years in 2025. The Crimson Tide want to improve on a 9-3 regular season in Kalen DeBoer's first year, which included a blowout loss to Oklahoma in Week 13 that ultimately kept Alabama from reaching the first-ever 12-team playoff field. Florida State is in need of a hard reset. Mike Norvello's Seminoles followed up their 12-0 regular season and ACC championship from 2023 with a woeful 2-10 record last year that featured only one win vs. a Power Four school. One potential concern for Alabama heading into 2025? CBS Sports and 247Sports analyst Brad Crawford believes it's on defense -- more specifically, the need for Kane Wommack's unit to establish a pass rush. Per Crawford: "Make no mistake -- this should be a stout defense for the Crimson Tide, especially considering cornerbacks tandem Zabien Brown and Domani Jackson are being discussed as one of the best in the conference. But if there's one area of concern, it's the ability to produce havoc numbers on the interior and edge since Alabama's inexperienced beyond James Smith and nose tackle Tim Keenan III. The Crimson Tide need a difference-making campaign out of LT Overton, who has best-in-the-conference type of potential." Overton was recently named to the 2025 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, along with linebacker Deontae Lawson. Lawson's 76 tackles were second on the team last year behind linebacker Jihaad Campbell, who departed for the NFL after a terrific junior season. Alabama's pass rush generated 25 sacks for 172 sacks yards. That ranked only 69th in FBS and was 14th out of the 16 SEC schools. Year 2 of the DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa will coincide with Alabama's first ever visit to Doak Campbell Stadium on Aug. 30. The Crimson Tide and Seminoles will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC. Alabama is No. 9 in Crawford's post-spring top 25 rankings. ESPN and USA TODAY Sports also have the Crimson Tide at No. 9 in their respective post-spring rankings.
