Disney+ gives streamers a subscription for £1.99 a month - but it's ending soon
The House of Mouse currently has a deal where shoppers can get four months of Disney+ for £1.99 - less than a Costa coffee. But there's something Brits need to know.
The deal is ending pretty soon on June 30 so for those who may have fell off the service or want to explore what new shows and series are playing, now is the time to act. You can grab the deal here.
Disney enthusiasts can now enjoy a plethora of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marve l - all for less than the price of a Starbucks or for less than a meal deal.
The service also boasts an array of Star Wars series, such as Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Clone Wars, ensuring there's ample content to keep viewers entertained for months.
Classic Walt Disney animated film s like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Lion King are also available for your viewing pleasure.
Moreover, there are a host of new shows slated for release in June, including Snow White (June 11), Ironheart (June 25), season 4 of FX's The Bear (June 26) and the gripping new sci-fi drama, Alien: Earth (August 13). These join recent hits and critically acclaimed series like The Stolen Girl.
This enticing offer lasts for four months, allowing streaming fans to indulge in the service until November for less than what most would spend on a Starbucks. However, it's worth noting that the £1.99 deal is for the Standard with Ads version, meaning viewers will have to tolerate ads while watching their favourite shows, which could be a tad irksome.
There's tons of great reviews on Trustpilot about Disney+. One streamer said: "Very good selection, friendly support and easy to cancel if you need to. Very easy to navigate their site and the openness and transparency they show should be a model for others.".
However, one shopper did complain about the amount of ads. They added: "Way too many adverts. Luckily I got it free for 3 months, but would not pay to extend it."
However, if shoppers would rather avoid Disney Plus, there are alternatives to consider snapping up. Sky has a number of streaming deals, including the Sky Stream service for £15 a month. Sports fans can also watch DAZN for free for a limited time thanks to a trial deal.

From January 2025 many fee-paying schools in Britain became even pricier after their exemption from paying VAT was officially scrapped. It's the first time independent schools have had to pay 20 percent VAT on fees. Chancellor Rachel Reeves said 'every single penny' from the new levy would go towards funding state schools. London's 17 best schools have been revealed by the Fairer Schools Index 2025.

SAN DIEGO, July 25 (Reuters) - The real and virtual worlds collided on Friday in clips from Disney's "Tron: Ares" movie, as fans got a preview of high-speed, high-tech motorcycle scenes at Comic-Con in San Diego. "I'm an official 'Tron' super fan," said Jared Leto, who stars as Ares, a hyper-intelligent program sent from the virtual to the real world, presenting a new threat to humans from artificial intelligence. "Movies like this really gave me something to dream for and about," Leto told a panel discussion after red and blue laser lights and people in glowing high-tech outfits filled Hall H at the convention. The "Suicide Squad" actor said he had latched onto the original "Tron" film as a lover of video games when he was young. "Tron: Ares" is the third installment in the series dating back to 1982 and a sequel to the 2010 movie "Tron: Legacy." Jeff Bridges, who was also on the panel, will be reprising his role as the computer hacker Kevin Flynn in the science fiction thriller, which arrives in theaters on October 10. "Pixels definitely have more fun," said Cameron Monaghan, comparing his role as a computer program to portraying a human being.

Disney brings the Grid, and the light bikes, with 'Tron: Ares' footage at Comic-Con
The Grid took over Comic-Con on Friday, bringing the stars of the new 'Tron: Ares' films to unveil footage and reveal the story behind the franchise's third movie. The film stars Jared Leto, Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee and Jodie Turner-Smith as the story brings the virtual environment of the Grid, complete with light bikes, into the real world. Disney showed off several minutes of footage, including a light bike chase scene in the real world and another in the red-hued Grid. Propelling the onscreen action is a propulsive Nine Inch Nails soundtrack. 'It's fun to see it on the big screen for the first time,' said director Joachim Rønning. Disney turned the Hall H panel into a spectacle, with red lasers filling the room and characters in suits with red lights entering the massive hall. Asked what excited her about joining the 'Tron' franchise, Lee responded: 'I just wanted to ride a light cycle.' Friday's panel ended with the premiere of the music video for "As Alive as You Need Me to Be," the first Nine Inch Nails song from the soundtrack. 'Tron' has never been in the top tier of sci-fi franchises. The original 1982 film starring Bridges as Kevin Flynn, a man sucked into a computer vortex known as the Grid, was admired for its ground-breaking concept and effects, and was a modest hit with moderately good reviews.
