Netflix fans turn off 'incredibly disgusting' new comedy minutes in despite star-studded cast
It was created by a five-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Netflix viewers have reported switching off a brand new comedy film on the platform just minutes in, slamming it as "insufferable" and "incredibly disgusting." Released on the streamer today (August 13), Fixed follows a dog named Bull (voiced by Adam Devine) who discovers he's about to be neutered and has one last hurrah with his friends. He also intends to win over the show dog he is in love with next door, Honey (Kathryn Hahn) before his operation. The animated comedy was created by Genndy Tartakovsky, a five-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and the mind behind Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack. Netflix's synopsis reads: " From visionary director Genndy Tartakovsky comes Fixed, an adult animated comedy about Bull, an average, all-around good dog who discovers he's going to be neutered in the morning! "As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends as these are the last 24 hours with his balls! What could go wrong...?" Its glittering cast also includes Idris Elba as Rocco, Fred Armisen as Fetch and Bobby Moynihan as Lucky. However, despite the star power on board, it has failed to land with audiences right away. "Fixed genuinely is insufferable and I'm only like five minutes in," one viewer began, adding: "I genuinely hate this. This is just corny sex jokes. I don't wanna see an animated dog's b******* flap while he's humping a grandma's leg." Another viewer gave up after watching only the trailer, saying: "It seemed incredibly disgusting (like worse than Big Mouth) just from the three second clip I watched while hovering over the title. Will absolutely not be investigating further," while a third unimpressed Netflix fan shared: "I still wanna know HOW were the voice actors talked into doing this." Not every viewer had a visceral reaction to the film however. Jumping to its defence, one fan shared: "Just watched it. It's passable, wasn't as bad as the trailers made me think it would be but it's not a masterpiece by any means, great animation though." Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, Tartakovsky explained how the cast came to be: "Some of the material is a bit raunchy so we had to find people that were receptive to our sense of humor, and boy, did we. 'I remember a moment where Kathryn Hahn read the script and called us — she wanted her character to be as raunchy as the other guys. It was a great note. We then rewrote her character to be reflective of that idea and she absolutely killed it.'

Leonardo DiCaprio reveals his biggest movie regret and names the only film he watches
Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio has opened up about his one regret when it comes to his filmography and names the one and only movie of his that he watches Leonardo DiCaprio has revealed what his biggest movie regret is in a rare interview about his impressive acting accolades and his personal life, which he likes to usually keep extremely private. The Oscar-winning actor, 50, who is gearing up for the release of his brand-new movie One Battle After Another, has shed light on his current relationship with Vittoria Ceretti, his feelings about turning 50, and his acting success over the years. Titanic actor Leo, who is best known for other roles including The Wolf of Wall Street, This Boy's Life, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, and Catch Me If You Can, revealed that his biggest regret when it comes to his movie past is turning down a role which Mark Wahlberg later got cast for. It comes after it was revealed why Matthew McConaughey lost the iconic Titanic role to Leonardo. Wahlberg's performance in the 1997 box office hit Boogie Nights earned him global notoriety, and Leonardo couldn't help but be green with envy after watching the movie that he passed on. Speaking to Esquire, The Revenant star admitted: "My biggest regret is not doing Boogie Nights. It was a profound movie of my generation. I can't imagine anyone but Mark [Wahlberg] in it. When I finally got to see that movie, I just thought it was a masterpiece." Boogie Nights, released in 1997, focuses on the rise and fall of a young adult film star named Dirk Diggler, played by Wahlberg. The story, set in the 1970s and early 80s, follows Dirk's journey from dishwasher to a prominent figure in the adult film industry under the guidance of director Jack Horner, portrayed by Burt Reynolds. The film explores themes of ambition, fame, drugs, and the darker side of the adult film world - something which Leonardo, 50, feels he missed out on by not taking the role. When it comes to watching his own movies back, Leo said that there's one in particular that he was watched several times, whereas he doesn't really bother tuning into any others. "I rarely watch any of my films, but if I'm being honest, there is one that I've watched more than others," he said. "It's The Aviator. That's simply because it was such a special moment to me. I had worked with Marty Scorsese on Gangs of New York, and I'd been toting around a book on Howard Hughes for 10 years. "I almost did it with Michael Mann, but there was a conflict and I ended up bringing it to Marty. I was 30. It was the first time as an actor I got to feel implicitly part of the production, rather than just an actor hired to play a role. "I felt responsible in a whole new way. I've always felt proud and connected to that film as such a key part of my growing up in this industry and taking on a role of a real collaborator for the first time." On turning 50 and getting older, Leo said: "Turning 50 creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time. I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress. "I look at my mother, for example, and she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it." The Autumn issue of Esquire UK is out on 14 August

'Brooklyn isn't Brooklyn anymore' - pal reveales 'most worrying thing' in Beckham family feud
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz tied the knot for a 'second' time, but the rift with David and Victoria runs so deep they only learned about the vow renewal after spotting it online. Brooklyn Beckham's pals say "he isn't Brooklyn anymore" - with friends claiming it's now "the most worrying thing" in the middle of his bitter family feud. The 26-year-old chef sparked fresh concern after holding a "second" wedding with wife Nicola Peltz over the weekend, without telling a single member of his family, reports the Mirror. Such is the rift between Posh and Becks and their daughter-in-law that they only found out about the vow renewal after reading about it online. But they weren't the only ones seemingly snubbed from the lavish event, which is said to have been attended by around 200 guests. One pal told how the fallout has left friends "fearful" for Brooklyn's wellbeing. They said: "A point has now been reached where it's actually no longer about a feud. There is much confusion, fear, worry and utter, utter devastation that this happened without Brooklyn telling any of his family. "Far from fuelling a feud, it is just very, very worrying for everyone who loves him. They are worried about what is going on over there in the States." It's understood Brooklyn's brothers Romeo and Cruz were also persona non grata on August 2. Another friend claimed the pair have been "fanning the flames" as the row, which first erupted around David's 50th birthday, continues to escalate. But the original insider told Mail Online most of the anger has now turned to concern following the vow renewal ceremony. The worry extends beyond Brooklyn to his wider family, including his two grandmothers. The pal continued: "It isn't just about David and Victoria anymore. They are heartbroken they don't see their son, but what about the grandparents? Brooklyn has always been so close to them. We are talking about a boy who was raised by his grandmothers Jackie Adams and Sandra Beckham when he was little and his parents were working. "He adores them, but he didn't even tell them about this. Imagine being an grandmother missing her grandson and seeing all of this on the internet. And that is the most worrying thing - it's like Brooklyn isn't Brooklyn anymore." Yet, Nicola's five brothers and sister Brittany did make the cut for the guest list earlier this month. Other guests included Harvey Weinstein's ex-wife Georgina Chapman, her Oscar-winning actor partner Adrien Brody and actor Oliver Trevena. However, we told yesterday how, despite the latest stunt, the Beckham family still claim to hope for a reconciliation. Our source told the Mirror: "The door is open. No one wants to see this kind of pain exist. There is always hope. At the end of the day. Blood is thicker than water." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
