Watch: Bertha, George clash over Gladys in 'Gilded Age' weeks ahead

June 23 (UPI) -- Max is previewing the upcoming episodes of The Gilded Age Season 3.
In a "weeks ahead" trailer released Sunday after the Season 3 premiere, viewers see Bertha and George Russell, portrayed by Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector, clashing over their daughter, Gladys (Taissa Farmiga).
"We were a love match, and we've been happy," George says in the teaser. "Why couldn't Gladys have had the same?"
"I'm building a position that will make her the envy of every woman living," Bertha responds.
Bertha and George have come into new money and Bertha, a social climber, wants her daughter to be financially secure.
Gladys ultimately disappears, and George blames Bertha.
Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) created the period drama.
The ensemble cast also includes Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Denee Benton, Louisa Jacobson, Harry Richardson, Blake Ritson, Ben Ahlers, Ashlie Atkinson, Dylan Baker, Kate Baldwin, Victoria Clark, John Ellison Conlee, Michael Cumpsty, Kelley Curran, Jordan Donica, Jessica Frances Dukes, Claybourne Elder, Amy Forsyth, Jack Gilpin, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Ward Horton, Simon Jones, Celia Kennan-Bolger, Ben Lamb and Nathan Lane.

Burrell died Tuesday at her home in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was 55. The programming block kicks off at 10 p.m. EDT Wednesday with an encore episode of Guy's Grocery Games. In the episode titled "All-Stars and A-Lister Dinners" Burrell is among the chefs who have to whip up a lunch with ingredients determined by a bowling game. Food Network will then air an episode of Worst Cooks in America: Worst of the Worst and Worst Cooks in America: Boot Camp Diaries at 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. EDT, respectively. Warner Bros. Discovery head of food content, Betsy Ayala described Burrell as "a one-of-a-kind-talent" in a statement. "With these special programming events, we hope to honor Anne and celebrate her impact on Food Network and beyond, and to offer fans a way to remember her passion and culinary prowess that ran through everything she did," she said. In addition, Food Network will release the premiere episode of Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible on July 28, featuring Burrell. According to an official synopsis, the upcoming season will focus on "professional performers ... used to stealing the spotlight, but in the kitchen, they are dishing out disasters." June 23 (UPI) -- Hulu released a trailer for Such Brave Girls Season 2, a BAFTA-winning comedy series about a single mother and her two adult daughters. The trailer, released Monday, continues the story of single mother Deb (Louise Brealey) and her adult daughters, Josie (series creator Kat Sadler) and Billie (Lizzie Davidson). The comedy's first season, which released in 2023, earned a BAFTA for Best Scripted Comedy. "The return of the BAFTA Award-winning family sitcom about three damaged narcissists desperate for love," the official synopsis reads. "Josie's still soul-searching (no luck yet), Billie's still on the hunt for true love, and Deb still prays for financial security - but above all, they are still hell-bent on escaping the reality of their cramped, crumbling, debt-ridden home life and find their happily ever afters." Such Brave Girls Season 2 premieres July 7 on Hulu. All six episodes of Season 1 are now streaming.

June 23 (UPI) -- Josh Brolin demands answers from Julia Garner in a new trailer for Barbarian writer-director Zach Cregger's latest film, Weapons. An entire class of students disappear in the horror movie, due in theaters Aug. 8, and Garner portrays their teacher. The preview released Monday shows Garner addressing a crowded room of distressed parents. "She should be locked up until she tells us what happened!" someone shouts in the audience. Brolin rises and says, "We're talking about 17 kids in one classroom. I wanna know what happened in that classroom. Why just her classroom? Why only hers?" Garner appears shocked and responds, "I love those kids." Cregger penned the script and serves as director, producer and executive producer. The cast also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.
