Amazon adds 'one of the best horror TV shows ever'

It's perfect viewing for fans of all things horror
Amazon Prime has just added multiple seasons of what's been dubbed 'one of the best horror series ever' that is Stranger Things meets American Horror Story.
The retail behemoth has now included the first three seasons of anthology show Channel Zero in its line-up.Much like the popular FX series, it's an anthology title that presents a different chilling tale each season.

It ran for four seasons in total, meaning the majority of episodes are now available on Amazon for viewers to delve into. Each season offers a new eerie narrative that any horror aficionado will relish.

Season one, subtitled Candle Cove, follows a child psychologist who returns to his hometown to investigate if his brother's disappearance is linked to a series of similar incidents or possibly connected to a strange children's television show that aired concurrently.
The second season, named No-End House, features a young woman and her friends visiting a house of horrors, leading them to question whether it's a tourist attraction or something far more sinister. Meanwhile, the third instalment, Butcher's Block, tracks a young woman and her schizophrenic sister as they move to a city plagued by a series of disappearances, reports Surrey Live.
After suspecting a link to a mysterious rumour, they must join forces to uncover the entity terrorising the city's inhabitants. The series' plotlines are all inspired by popular creepypastas, typically defined as horror-related legends or images circulated on the internet.
The show continues to receive high praise from fans and is highly recommended for horror enthusiasts. Drawing comparisons to similar anthology shows, a critic from Collider even stated that " Channel Zero did what American Horror Story couldn't adding: " adding: "Channel Zero never lost sight of being an amalgamation of themes, but it did it all while remaining truly terrifying."

This sentiment was echoed by Gamespot, which labelled the show as 'one of the best horror TV shows ever'. Another reviewer hailed it as 'TV's most underrated horror series'. It boasts an impressive overall score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the second and third seasons achieving perfect ratings.
One fan who shared their thoughts on the series commented: "Somewhere between American Horror Story and Stranger Things. Channel Zero provides subtle horrors shared by children around the world. Relying on few jump scares or over-the-top special effects, Candle Cove still delivers spine-tingling terror. For those who prefer chills to thrills, a must watch."
Echoing the sentiment, someone else posted: "If you loved Stranger Things, check out Channel Zero. It's well-written, expertly directed and creepy as hell. Have to say, I'm hooked. Good stuff."
Meanwhile, another weighed in: "Suspenseful and nightmare inducing. This show has serious potential...I hope it continues down this path."

‘My make-up stayed in place for 12 hours' Amazon shoppers rave over £8 setting spray that ‘works even in 34°c heat'

BEAUTY fans are praising L'Oreal's £8 setting spray for keeping their make-up intact in the hot weather. The budget beauty buy is at its lowest price on Amazon, so shoppers can currently pick it up for £7.99. L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist 75ml, £7.99 (was £9.99) BUY HERE The L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist went viral on TikTok after users raved of its ultra-strong hold. It has a lightweight mist consistency that doesn't leave any residue, promising transfer-proof and sweat-proof formula. Unlike some other bestselling setting sprays (think Charlotte Tilbury and Urban Decay), L'Oreal's version is an aerosol mist, rather than a water spray. While water-based setting mists can be good for achieving a dewy finish, aerosol sprays are typically fast-drying, and are often great for locking in make-up on oily skin types. The £8 skincare product has racked up hundreds of five-star reviews. One Amazon shopper wrote: "It worked really well in 34 degree heat, my friend purchased this for a recent holiday in Turkey and told me to try it. Normally whenever I put on make-up on in heat it melts off after an hour, but this spray is truly amazing. My make-up stayed in place all night, so I came straight home and ordered some - a make-up bag must-have." Another added: "As a test I wore a cream coloured hoody to try it out and to my surprise I got no transfer when I pulled the hoody over my face! Normally I get a orange collar at this point even after using other setting sprays. I must admit by the end of the day there was a small amount of transfer, but nothing compared to other products and my collar had been rubbing against the makeup all day." One/Size On 'Til Dawn Waterproof Setting Spray, £32 L'Oreal's Infallible Spray has been compared to the popular One/Size Waterproof Setting Spray online, and it's a fraction of the price. Retailing for £18 for a 46ml bottle, the setting spray is also aerosol, and it works to set make-up in place and tighten the pores for a blurred, matte finish. Setting sprays are a saviour in the hot weather, as our make-up fights against sweat and humidity. It's one of the few products I couldn't be without for sweltering days in the office and holidays. While I'm yet to try the L'Oreal spray for myself, the Sun Shopping team has put other summer skincare essentials to the test, including the best sun creams and the best SPFs for the face. Several retailers have released beauty boxes in recent months dedicated to summer skincare, haircare and make-up, including Glossybox's Summer Beauty Bag, and Space NK's £80 Travel Edit worth £160. £105 worth of products for £30, including Sol de Janeiro and La Roche-Posay. The beauty box caused mass sell-outs on the website, so is unlikely to be restocked. L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray Mist may be worth considering.

Lily Allen moving out of swanky New York pad after sad David Harbour split

Smile star, Lily Allen, used to share a New York townhouse with her ex, Stranger Things star, David Harbour, but now they've split up, she's made a huge change Lily Allen has confirmed she's moving out of her home in New York following her split with David Harbour. The Smile star, 40, and Stranger Things actor, 50, got hitched in 2020, but called it quits last year amid reports of David's infidelity. ‌ Mum-of-two, Lily, bought the art deco home in Brooklyn with David shortly after their nuptials in Vegas and it even featured in posh magazine, Architectural Digest, thanks to its impressive features and stylish decor. ‌ However, Lily, has now left the property and bought an ex-council flat in London, where she's been busy throwing herself into decorating, which she says has 'helped' her through her 'hard time'. It comes as the star was spotted in the capital, wearing a diamond band on her wedding finger. ‌ READ MORE: Princess Andre eyes up Kylie Jenner empire as Katie Price says she's been 'shut out' Lily told The Mirror that she's been taking inspiration from interior design magazines for her new pad, which is believed to be in Notting Hill, sharing: "I'm really enjoying those at the moment. I've obviously had quite a hard time and that's really helped me." She also spoke about her new purchase, which she'll live in with her two daughters, on her Miss Me? podcast back in March, as she chatted to co-host Miquita Oliver. ‌ She shared: "This flat that I've bought, is in a social housing building, I have kind of given myself a 'get out' clause because it is slap bang in the area which I grew up in, so I don't feel like I am coming from outside and coming into the area and gentrifying it." Lily added: "I have wanted to live in this building since I was a baby, it's been a dream of mine forever and finally a flat became available in here and I was in a position to buy it and I did. But I know people have got judgement around it." ‌ With Parisian-inspired rooms and an enormous walk-in wardrobe, Lily's former townhouse was a sight to behold. However, the singer admitted she felt 'incredibly low' and lonely in New York as she opened up about her break-up. The Londoner, who confirmed her split from David in January, revealed that she felt 'extremely heavy' as she 'doesn't have that much to do here' in the city. She moved to Brooklyn in 2020 to be closer to David, enrolling her daughters in local schools. ‌ However, it's now all over for the couple, with Lily now back in Blighty and reportedly signed up to exclusive dating app Raya in an effort to move on from her marriage. She has already been romantically linked to actor James Norton. However, it was recently reported that he had been getting cosy with someone else. ‌ Speaking to the Mirror, a source said: "James and his female pal certainly didn't care who was looking. They were happy sitting outside the bar getting very cosy with one another despite the scorching temperatures across London." They added: "At one point, the woman was seen resting her hand on James' bare knees as they engaged in a deep conversation. It's a stark contrast from his recent date with Lily Allen, but it's clear that he's not short of female attention."
